The bear stayed on the ceiling, watching the boy cry. Meanwhile, Adam wrote to his godfather a couple more times, but it seemed that the responses weren't what the boy wanted because he kept on crying.
After a while, Adam finally stopped crying and asked the bear on the ceiling:
—What do I have to do?
—It's quite obvious...— the bear replied with a sense of urgency —Go and get the skin from the corpse, wrap it in the torn robe, and let's get out of here running.
Adam looked at the bear, then at his godfather's biography; the two open pages were filled with a single phrase: 'Do whatever it takes, but get the little books!'
The bear seemed impatient and rushed the boy:
—Go, there's a knife in the bathtub! Don't take too long!
—I'm pretty sure I didn't see any knife in the bathtub...— Adam replied, still sobbing.
The bear pondered the boy's response for a few seconds, but then noticed that Adam was still watching him. Angrily, he shouted:
—Go to the bathroom and search better! Don't waste time, kid!
With unsteady steps and tears streaming down, Adam went towards the bathroom. The bear looked down from the ceiling at the pitiful state of the young hero and asked suspiciously:
—What floor and hexagon are we on, kid?
Adam looked up at the bear, not understanding why it was asking him that, and answered in a broken voice due to the sobbing.

—Lower floor 3, hexagon 8.
—Say it right, damn it! Where the hell are we?—the bear on the ceiling yelled, seeming more nervous than before.
Adam noticed the bear was about to throw the bottle at his face, seemingly eager for an answer, so he quickly responded:
—Lower floor 3 out of 5, hexagon 8 out of 18.
—Good...—the bear replied with a smile on its face and in a much calmer tone, then pointed its small, furry arm towards the bathroom—Go and complete your task!
Quite disoriented, Adam entered the bathroom. Strange noises were heard, and after some time, he came back with the robe and headed back to the bathroom.
The bear remained on the ceiling, moving along with the boy and watching the entire process. The increasingly empty eyes of the young boy bothered the bear, so it asked him again:
—What floor and hexagon are we on, kid?
Adam looked at the bear, not knowing why it asked this every now and then, but he replied by memory:
—Lower floor 3 out of 5, hexagon 8 out of 18.
—Good...—the bear responded with a forced smile, not seeming very calm—Wrap the skin in the robe, and let's go.
Adam obeyed; he was so depressed from the inhumane task that his brain automatically followed the bear's orders. The young hero made his way towards the door and waited for the bear to open it.
The bear went out the door and came back in, but Adam didn't hear the sound of the door opening. Instead, the bear appeared from under the door and said:
—Whenever you're outside, I'll be in front, don't raise your head, and just look at me. We can't let others see what you have hidden in the robe!
Adam nodded, and after a few seconds, he heard the click of the door. As he stepped outside, he found himself in the same corridors illuminated with the beautiful green light as always. Adam noticed that the bear wasn't going through the same hallway they had come from, so he commented:
—The shortcut is not that way. We should go left to reach the hexagon door faster.
—You're right...—the bear commented but still continued to move on the right.
Confused by the bear's decision, Adam decided to follow before losing sight of it among the crowd of people. Along the way, Adam tried to cover the stained robe the best he could; fortunately, the librarians on this floor were not very attentive and didn't pay much attention to him.
With caution not to be discovered, Adam walked through the corridors until he approached the door of hexagon 8. But at the door, he paused for a few seconds because the bear wasn't moving forward; instead, it stayed, looking at one of the corners of the hallway.
