E1-16-La dulce infancia...

Sofia and Cesar entered the office. Still a bit dazed by the unfolding situation, Adam saw the other two entering and followed them out of inertia, not wanting to be left alone in the hallway.

The principal's office was not very large, but it had luxurious wooden furniture. There were no bookshelves in the office, yet a mountain of colorful books piled up on the principal's desk, giving the impression that the principal spent more time reading than paying attention to the school.

There were also two armchairs in front of the desk, where Sofia and Adam sat. Meanwhile, the principal took a seat in a chair on the opposite side of the desk and brushed away the mountain of books with his hand.

Tumm, Tumm, Tumm... The mountain of books on the desk collapsed, and several books fell to the floor, allowing the principal to observe the two children sitting in their chairs.

Adam felt a bit stunned, looking at the books on the floor, not sure whether he should pick them up or not. But seeing Sofia doing nothing, he went along with it and just watched the principal.

—Well...— Cesar said calmly —What happened this time?

—Aquiles, that's the problem!— Sofia exclaimed angrily from the oversized chair —It can't be that every time we need him, he's not here! How are we supposed to learn to read without a teacher!

—Well...— Cesar said in a very relaxed manner while writing on a red paper —If that's what bothers you, Sofia, we'll fix it. What about you, Adam? What's troubling you?

—Me?... uh— Adam said somewhat dazed by the situation —I... I want to get my black robe.

—Well...— Cesar said again, as if saying 'well' was his relaxation mantra —Just give this letter to Aquiles, and the problem will be solved. Aquiles should be in the teachers' room. Next time, try not to kick the door; you might attract...

—I'll kick whatever I want, you old dying man!— Sofia interrupted, jumping down from the chair and snatching the red letter from the principal's hand.

Bomm Sofia then marched to the office door and slammed it shut.

Adam watched the scene, somewhat dazed and unsure of what to do.

—Well...— Cesar said, holding his head with his hand and massaging his forehead, trying to stay calm —Do you have any other issues you want to discuss, Adam?

—Uh... no, no— Adam said, snapping out of his daze, as he got off the chair to find Sofia.

Adam walked out through the door and ran towards Sofia, who was forcefully kicking another door in the school, seemingly the teachers' room.

When Adam arrived, Aquiles had already opened the door and was arguing with Sofia.

—I can't believe it! A ghost appeared!— Aquiles said ironically, seeing Sofia at the school —Got bored of trying to scam the poor shelves?
