*Wishh*... Adam felt something hit his head. The young man woke up from the blow and, while touching his head in a daze, he saw a metal plate with some blood on the ground; it seemed that someone had thrown that thing at his head.
He looked in the direction from where the hit came, while checking the state of the wound on his head. That's when Adam noticed a slingshot hidden among the bushes; those bushes weren't there before, but it seemed they would be in the future, for some reason that the young man didn't know yet.
With some fear, Adam tried to see who was holding the slingshot, but to his surprise, he realized that the slingshot was a trap, so no one had shot him. As he looked at the slingshot, Adam noticed a yellowish thread coming from the bushes to his feet; the thread was quite hard to see among the sand, but with his magical glasses, it became evident.
What the young man didn't understand was how the person who set the trap knew that he would trigger it while unconscious in the sand. Adam couldn't remember how he ended up unconscious in the sand, but he did remember dying with a sword in his mouth, which meant he should have been reborn in the future.
When these doubts began to arise, Adam saw that the metal plate that had hit him started to flicker on the ground. Curiously, the young man picked up the metal plate and noticed that a very short but strong sentence was engraved on it:
> 'Look for the slingshot, take the syringe hidden in its handle, inject it into the unconscious wizzard near the bonfire, then search his pockets, and you'll find your godfather: Use him if you want to stay alive... How inconvenient, it seems I forgot to mention who I am.'
Adam's hands trembled with fear; he recognized the handwriting, and more importantly, he recognized that the last sentence was something only he himself would write to refer to himself. Carefully patting his pockets, he realized that someone had taken his godfather's biography without him knowing.
Seeing that the first information was true, Adam hurriedly approached the slingshot hidden among the bushes. As he grabbed the slingshot, the young man found that the handle of the slingshot was actually a syringe filled with black liquid wrapped in papers. The papers had two numbers written in blood on one of their ends:
> 80~08.
Adam looked at the numbers in a daze but then recognized the meaning of this message, and cold sweat began to run down his face. Now without a doubt, the young man jogged with the syringe in hand until he reached the bonfire, where he found the unconscious old wizzard lying in the sand near the bonfire's trunk.
Afraid to wake the old wizzard, Adam approached slowly, and when he was just within reach, he rushed forward and plunged the syringe into the wizzard's arm.
The black liquid entered the wizzard's skin, causing David's pupils to open in confusion, revealing the marbles that were in his eye sockets. But the old wizzard didn't get up, and instead, his fingers started moving erratically as if trying to regain control of his body; however, no matter how hard he tried, he seemed unable to get up.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Adam looked at the wizzard's open eyes with fear, but upon realizing that he couldn't control his body, he took courage and took a yellow book from within the wizzard's robes. Carefully, Adam opened his godfather's biography and took a pencil from his robe to write on it. But as soon as the pencil touched the page, an image formed on the biography's sheet: it seemed to be a circle of mushrooms placed on the sand.
Immediately, the image disappeared, and another image appeared in its place, not giving Adam time to see the details of the first image. The new image was that of a mannequin statue with guns. Then the image violently disappeared again, and another image appeared in its place.
The new image was that of a red-haired man; his body was deformed with protrusions, and there were pimples all over his body. The man was squatting, looking at the corner of a room, with his back to a boy in a black robe standing at the door.
The image of his father transformed into a beast frightened Adam, causing him to drop the biography.
The biography fell to the ground on the wizzard, and Adam tried to pick it up again so he could ask his godfather what was happening. But before he could reach his arm, a very bright flash of light made the young man withdraw his hand in fear.
*Boom*...Immediately, a lightning bolt came from the sky, sending Adam flying through the air; the bolt destroyed the biography and turned the wizzard on the ground into ashes. The fall and explosion had broken some of the young man's bones, but now, the daze caused by the unknown situation was such that he couldn't process the pain from the impact.
The wizzard was dead, and Adam had no one to help him. But he remembered the circle of mushrooms described in the book: everything was pointing to this being prepared by his past self to complete the puzzle. Without much hesitation, he ran in search of the circle of mushrooms.
A few minutes passed, and Adam found the circle. Not finding anything in its surroundings, the young man tried digging under the circle. It didn't take long, and he managed to find a wooden plank buried under the sand. He tried to keep digging, but his glasses showed that something was blinking in the sand.
Adam looked closely, not understanding why, but the sand in front of him was flickering. He extended his hand and took the sand; that's when he felt the anomaly: for some reason, he couldn't dig this part of the sand; it seemed to be a solid block of sand.
Hastily, the young man dug the surroundings of the solid sand and realized that there was a box whose walls were formed by sand. Hoping to find more clues, Adam opened the box: inside the box was a white rabbit holding a heart upside down, so the triangular tips pointed to the sky. Embroidered in the middle of the heart was a name:
> 'Sofia.'
Adam looked suspiciously at the white rabbit, hesitating for a moment. He searched for a sharpened stick in one of the nearby bushes and stabbed the rabbit's stomach to create an opening. Adam removed the stuffing from the rabbit but found nothing inside; he carefully examined the stuffing but found nothing strange either.
Then Adam looked at the rabbit holding the heart upside down, and an idea crossed his mind. The young man took the empty stuffed rabbit and inserted his hand into the hole he had created; there was nothing inside, but Adam took the inner skin of the rabbit and pulled it; revealing the inside of the rabbit, the inner part of the rabbit's skin had the following question embroidered on it:
> 'In which hexagon and floor are we, Adam?'
