Here he sees as he exits his overpod. There are a number of other overpods connected to a similar structure, and there are guides and the rare scout, flowing through tunnels of vibrations held in place near nets and tubes. Yet where he is there is hardly any movement in the enviorment.

So he sees a large net with hanging tassles continuing throughout the hive, with the tassles and the net near the flow-tunnels. Distributing flow and impact throughout, and dampening it.

And the over-pods distributed, material sticking them to walls and structures within the hive. Some coming out of the bottom,but many connected to a number of nets, yet remaining still.

He reached for a net and tugged until a guide came. It had a large sail-glider, with sails made from the body of a beast, and string and materials holding them in a sort of shape. A net of tendril-fabric softened with plant on the inside, they could hold there, and wrap materials to be kept safe. So he wraps his "eyes" and they begin on their way.

He Who Carries is a guide who prefers little communication, but he requests a certain image and he obliques giving him a different sense of placement as they stop to view the workers' housing pods and the paths between them. Then he is shown and he shows the path an exit to the flow-tunnel, to a food processer. They take a path and adjust the tassels to better guide. He Who Carries trades for his food as payment. And they continue on their way.

He exits once more around the place of They Who Keep Time, a large structure of straight edges connected to an inner top of the hive. structure built to keep measure to move consistent come out of it. A soft pod connected with strings, one that is pulled by one within the Over-pod to keep track. but there is a disturbance, the flow reaching it is different than should be expected.

They who keep time welcome another, and though his sight is limited he looks over their structure to see if they are falling appear. They reach out and he communicates errors seen. And differences of the devices form memories of their construction. Others will be needed to fix this, but some in this pod know their mechanism, he hands them a shard and they pay him in thanks. The amount they pay him is more than normal but with their greater wealth, they have less thought for scarcity. He accepts their payment and continues on his way.
