He Who Watches is He Who Defends.
One thought subsumes the other. But When he shall return to sleep. The Defender always remains.
He watches as Crui goes out. Watches and prepares as some approach Crui, as Crui responds differently to some communications.
And no harm is done, and he continues to watch, Shape of the giant structure, the large one's hive, he continues to watch it regrow and change. it is as almost like the ship, with nets and fins but it does not curve into itself... He watches it change, some nets grow and shrink, and flows become more consistent. And, it seems Crui's project is trying to preserve its original movement.
He watches as some come to and away from Crui, communication after communication no sign of danger caused, and the great shape beyond Crui continues to change.

The project advances well. The work progresses. And yet some get caught their paths incomplete and overwritten. Yet I do not even need the eyes to correct them. Some always return to a central point their tasks incomplete their paths to be rewritten from within my role, Crui's role. And the role of the one that creates paths... The role continues to grow.
Memories and fragments rewritten from others' bits and pieces of paths made even, details no longer needed to be covered. Markings of existing paths, things we need to add and change.
And yet I, Crui will need to rest at some point. This task is not completeable in time. And as fragments of roles gather into this one, a large map, and paths must be copied broken apart and distributed. Some roles are still taken away.

But this role is in the possession of the edge dwellers, they are memories of the role, not pods to be used by the hive.

The outsider, the Crui, is one of us. It is more one of us than many who hold roles within the hive. Yet the changes to our roles are great. And the outsider alone cannot alter our roles.
Yet there are others. And if one has so joined our roles that it is more us than the others...
There is still danger there I shall make myself ready, we shall make ourselves ready. And we shall follow to the disturbance beyond our nets where the outer ones dwell. The others. It is important to defend our hive-home, as much as it is to defend our roles.
For defending, it is defending our roles, and it is why the others are so quick to follow those who dwell only within.
What do they think of this?
This one fears what may be there, but is hopeful as inside the hive they have already decided that the outsiders are integrated.
This one fears for the outsiders are not like us.
They are not like us but they do their best to help.
We shall bring weapons, in case they are enemies.
The Crui shall be with us, it is better we are tied to the hive and move away with speed that threaten the others by bringing weapons.
We shall keep our distance...
Have we all decided on our approach?
We shall be tied to our hive-home and move quickly to get weapons if they are dangerous. But there is no urgency. If we do need to fight them, we shall put Crui's sleeping-pod with the rest of ours, and he shall not know.
We shall not need to fight them.
