There is a process to remembering what is lost. But the role is vacant. They remember the dead, but what use are they? Collecters of unwanted memories, those who remember so that others can feel. But the others don't feel. And the emotion is secondary to us. They care not for the dead. They benefit from the broken pods. It is only a matter of time until they end up in our hands.
Yet I need their answers. My pod is broken, and if I were to try and become She Who Remembers War with the help of They who also do so. Because I exist in contrast to them. And if they were to reconstruct my self, I would not be She Who Remembers War any longer.
So She Who Preserves left me. But before I continue on my way I leave with one last inquiry.
Why the regret?
There are few of us who were once warriors... But of her squad only she rememebers.
And if that is the case, her memories are what are important over the others, yet... She Who Preserves will reveal after I see the dead. She is unwilling to share if it is not necessary.
Understanding, I continue on my way.

They Remember The Dead. Going from pod to pod, and echoing thoughts amongst each other. And another enters their pod, reaching and retracting. There is an inquiry, but it is not understood.
And so she goes on and travels amongst them in the direction of the shard storage. They would have to stop her if she goes into their possession, but before that, she encounters one, and she stops to communicate.

He Remembers The Dead. But he is more. He recreates memories, or he tries to. The experience of the dead that are experienced have been constructed with his help. And those who share his place. Inquiry, Why is She Who Remembers War present here?

Her pod is broken, and it is hers. Her stupor disturbed, and she needs to reconstruct her role through memories of those who died in war.
She shall be let through, but with guidance. He shall observe with interest, her perspective may help in his task.
Inquiry, His task, To become He Who Remembers What Is Lost?
He Who Contemplates Experience.
Ah, shall he lead here or should she?

Pain, there was no pain within the hive. There were always the lack of control, the scraping against objects the attempts at maneuvering sharp objects. But compared to this, that was not pain. No, now he experiences pain.
Here starving. The food is scarce and other in conflict over it. The war was draining, and the enemy were too powerful. But only they had what the hive needs to service. So he does as he must his body broken, lacking the resources to preserve his pod and his shards...
He shall become a warrior. He shall be dead, He shall hand his pod in to they who remember so that they shall remember him. And with the little that is left, he shall take a warrior's pod and prevent this from ever happening again.
Not to the others.

She left the memory it was part of her understanding. It built her role. But it was not enough, they needed the next one.
He lead her to it, And she reached out.
----------------------------------------
They went to war. They built for war. This one would be different. This one would be better They had the weapons, and now was the time to test them...
The memories jumped through constructive, productive, but technical elements beyond her current understanding. To a view of war. Weapons, bubbles destruction. And a tainted of material. Something the pod had not done before. An enemy defeated, and its materials taken.
And he got the greatest of the spoils. Another pod of his own. The enemy's technical expert. And so he reached into it, understanding much. Yet, he felt sick. Incomplete. The memories were eating his own. It was not the memories. They were experiencing glimpses of an inventor's life, as his mind consumed itself. Destroying much of his knowledge. A corruption to chard hive and matter that poisoned the body and essence of us. A cautionary tale. The danger of using poisons.
But the other memories were preserved. As it was the most absolute victory the hive had ever had. And memories of it were preserved by They Who Remember War. But the consequences were here. And so she continued into the memories of the dead.
