Chapter 35.1: Soon We Will Sleep (part 1)

I fly with her but soon we will sleep. And knowing that, we have responsibilities we must put to rest.

She requests clarification, my communications are not clear. I reach for a shard and inquiry=forgivness. I send her my thoughts.

Acceptance. What would my role be upon awakening? Would I become She Who Sees?

Not yet, I need to pay He Who Sees back. I owe him a debt and without material, I cannot learn the role.

So she inquires. Would I join her overpod? And continue sharing her place?

And with great joy I accept.

Zur awakens. And Zur still is Zur when Zur awakens. Zur is not He, Zur is not She. No title, no role remembered to remain. Zur has not become some thing again.

And yet Zur must live, so Zur leaves his pod and notices a shard. It has been moved. He Flies. Zur inquires on his presence from those around, and He Who Flies leads a unit. Maybe there is a role for Zur there.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

So Zur goes, and Zur catches He Who Flies on his return. There is gratitude there, Zur does not understand. But in place of peace Zur was of assistance.

There is no role there. And he remembers little of what he created.

But there is another who remembers and She still wakes. He Who Flies shall bring Zur over. He just has to distribute this brilliance he just had duplicated. Then they shall be on their way.

Zur will try to assist. But Zur has little value here.

----------------------------------------

He Who Flies recognizes a resemblance here. Zur resembles those who have lost themselves, and it is worrying. It is good that he is acting. Even. And he should not be thinking these thoughts,]. But even if Zur correctly interpreted Zur's competence.

He Who Scouts opportunities see more potential places for them in these shards delivered. And He Who Creates Places sees so much that can be done in these shards, they gather to conglomerate to better interpret and understand them. But he must leave to guide Zur to a better place. As he owes what he is to that one.

They appreciate his input and let him on his way.

The worst has not come to pass, and he saw that She Who Transfers Memories' work was a success. But seeing as she will soon return to stupor. He inquires if memories lead this to be sufficient.

If it comes back to war, It will all end. That is what She Who Remembers understands. And seeing this he returns to advancing the task that is peace.

But as they decide on their actions Two come to visit.
