Chapter 91
By the time night falls I’m just about done completely expanding into the clearing soon, all I’ll have to do is start connecting to the flora and then start delivering the nutrients from the hub.
Interesting tidbit, all the while I was doing my stuff during the day I kept track of time through the mini mushrooms. And I found that the sun stays in the sky for 653 mini mushroom growths.
Which … well gives me an approximate time for when I arrived here. I wasn’t a mathematician or a genius in my past life though and I lost some time here and there especially during the fire when I had to stop the mushroom growths, but tentatively? I’ve been here, based on simple division, at least 72 sunrises.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Again I lost a lot of time here and there, I mean I didn’t even come up with the time keeping thing until some amount of time after I arrived so I don’t know if 72 is an accurate number.
Hell I’m pretty sure it isn’t.
In fact … yeah, thinking it over a bit I should really be waiting until the next sunrise to get a better picture picture of what days actually look like here. I’ve been growing the time keeping mushrooms consistently, even through nights, so that 72 number is absolutely wrong.
Well … me not being a genius aside, at least I know how long the sun lasts in the sky. I’m little impatient about finding that number. And I don’t mind if that number is imprecise, but getting it wildly wrong would be kind of upsetting.
I resolve to wait. Not that I have much choice.
Hoping to get some good news I focus back on my other tasks and find that that sensory network has expanded quite well into my surroundings.
It isn’t as big as it was before the fire but fortunately the nutrient bricks work exactly as predicted so I expect it’ll be at least half the size it was before once the sun sets tomorrow.
I can’t wait to be able to fully sense my surroundings again.
