Chapter 113

She woke up groggily and confused.

She remembered she was investigating that weird and disgusting smell but then not much else. She got to her feet and looked around.

She was right next to a tree and the second she saw it she remembered. She was running away from the giant mushroom. The mushroom that looked like the ones she saw right before it all went bad. The mushroom that smelled like the gross flowers she memorized. The mushroom that somehow conjured water out of thin air.

Whenever something weird or bad happens it always, for some reason, leads to the mushrooms. She couldn’t shake the feeling that they were harbingers of some sort.

She took a breath a found that the smell was while still present less effusive than it was before. Which was more than obvious as her sprint away from the mushroom took her quite a bit away.

There was still some pain after ramming into the tree full sprint but it was something she could handle. She took a more careful look around her to get a handle of where she was and once she did she slowly made her way back to the clearing with water she wound up in the first time she ran away from the stench

On the way there she took a few bites of some of the grass she found along the way. She wasn’t at all hungry but she knew she had to eat something.

The journey back seemed to take longer than she expected but once she reached the clearing she took a drink of water and collapsed.
