Chapter 133

Chapter 133

She took a sniff of the white vine looking thing.

If it smelled repulsive she would step away and find something else to eat, but it was fine. The fast growing aspect of it still spooked her so she tentatively reached a paw out and hit it.

Nothing happened.

It continued to grow as fast as ever. She went to lick it and when her tongue hit the white thing she froze.

It was tasty.

She took a hesitant bite out of it next. The second she did she found herself transported to taste bud heaven. She discovered her newfound reason for being. And she couldn’t stop herself even if she wanted to.

Though when she got halfway through the vine something changed. The vine was visibly deflating and no longer growing rapidly anymore.

She took a step back in order to get a better look at what was happening.

When she did however it completely stopped moving and deflating.

Something about this unnerved her.

The vine stopped moving the moment she took a step. Almost like it knew she stepped back.

She was just about to dismiss that idea completely when she took a closer look at the ground.

Something about it bugged her. It was slightly different than when she got here.

She bent forward and took a more detailed look at the ground. The grass beneath her toes had what seemed like wispy spider silk right next to it.

That was not there when she sat down to look at the … white tendril.

She quickly turned to look at the vine and then immediately back at the ground.

Both were white.

Her heart beat faster. The hair at the back of her neck rose and she was frightened.

She didn’t stop to think she just turned around and fled.
