It was finally morning! Oh blessed nutrients!

I’m so happy I found the lichen. The nutrients they provide are plentiful. Most definitely enough to accomplish what I want to do for the day. Definitely enough to rebuild my sensory network.

But if I want to make the primitive storage bank more is absolutely better. I need to find more lichen.

So I use the nutrients I get from the lichen to seek out other trees with lichen. Of course they all get water in exchange for the nutrients I take. The water I provide is basically endless and more importantly free so I’m more than happy to fork over water.

While I search for more trees I start on the sensory network. I want to start the network from my birth-log but most of that area is still a bit crispy from the fire, so I start the network from where the experimental chem mushrooms used to be. I’ll restart that project once I have everything else settled and once the hub’s chilled out.

A quick check on the bde monument as its just a stones throw away from the chem mushrooms and I find it in good health. It would have been such a pain trying to grow another one.

Elsewhere I find a suitable tree and climb it’s trunk a bit before I give up, no lichen. Ugh finding lichen is like trying to find a four leaf clover, you hope the next one you find is going to be the one but nope no luck. I swear I’m lucky I found as many as I did.

I cannibalize the mycelium I used to check the tree and quickly search for another.

This is gunna be a loooong day.
