Back to present at Ven's manor
The two of them came down the stairs from Ven's bedroom to the dining room. Ventina hadn't expected anyone to be in the manor since Ven hadn't mentioned anything. When Ventina went into the dining room, Ven's parents were sitting at the table, having their breakfast.
The three of them stared at each other, wondering about the other party's identity.
"Good Morning, Father, Mother." Ven greeted his parents.
"Good Morning, Father, Mother." Ventina quickly followed suit, copying his sentence unintentionally. After she finished her sentence, she noticed that there was something wrong with her sentence and tried to correct herself hurriedly while blushing slightly, "Ah! I meant, Auntie, Uncle."
Ventina felt ashamed at how her nervousness had come through her speech. Why did I copy his sentence?! This is so embarrassing…
Ven and his parents were surprised by her first sentence, especially Ven, who had always thought that Ventina was the type who never get nervous.
However, to Ven's parents, they found the bashful girl's actions cute and pleasant. Ven's mother especially felt like matchmaking the two of them. Although she knew that Ven had feelings for his best friend, Lilica, she also knew that Lilica only sees him as a friend. Her senses also told her that the girl in front of her feels something for her son.
Ventina was wearing a white dress and wasn't wearing any make up, giving her an innocent look unlike her usual gothic clothes and make up. This made her impression even better in the eyes of Ven's parents.
"Ven, who's this lovely girl?" Mrs. Lester said as she looked at Ventina kindly.
"She's my friend from the human realm. The name's Ventina Yukimura. A half human half Jorōgumo." Ven replied. Ventina had taken the family name of her foster father so she had a Japanese name.
'This girl is definitely fated to be with my son! She even has his name in her name!' thought Mrs. Lester, as she looked at Ventina approvingly.

"Nice to meet you. Please just call me Tina." Ventina said as she tried to compose herself, hiding her nervousness.
"Okay, Tina. Both of you sit! Let's eat together." Mrs. Lester said as she gestured for the both of them to sit opposite her and her husband.
Now that Ventina was sitting opposite her, Mrs. Lester felt impressed once again at Ventina's smooth skin, soft red hair, and her bright yellow eyes. The girl looked innocent and free from worries, her small gestures conveyed her politeness and gentleness. Mrs. Lester was even more determined to get this girl to become her daughter-in-law.
Mr. Lester looked at his wife knowingly and coughed lightly, to bring his wife back to reality. Her admiring gaze was just too obvious. He was afraid that she would scare his possibly future daughter-in-law away.
Mrs. Lester noticed her husband's fake cough and retreated her gaze and said, "Tina, wat would you like to eat?" She tried to start a conversation with Ventina, as to test her personality, firstly, whether she was picky.
"I'm fine with anything, Auntie." Ventina smiled back, still a little nervous.
"Okay! Get them the same dishes as us." Mrs. Lester said to the servants.
"Yes, madam." The servant replied and walked out of the dining room.
10 minutes later
The servants came back to the dining room with two sets of breakfasts. Meanwhile they were waiting for the food, Mrs. Lester chatted with Tina to get to know her better. Ven found this quite strange as his mother would usually be cold towards girls close to him, especially the ones who tried to cling to him for his status. As a result, his only friend was Lilica, who wasn't interested in him romantically.
After the servants served the dishes, the two of them started eating their food. Although food wasn't necessary for some demons like vampires and succubus that had a special diet, food was a source of entertainment for every demon. Who isn't fond of good food anyway?
"This is really good!" Ventina exclaimed after her first bite. She had never tasted anything like this before, even though it was just bread.
The food in the demon world was catered to suit the demons' tastes so obviously, it tasted better compared to human food.
"Right? Food cooked by our chef is rumored to be comparable to the royal chefs!" Mrs. Lester replied back proudly.
"I see! The human foods that I've eaten before are completely different from here! Can I ask the chef for a recipe later on? I'd like to be able to cook this myself too." Ventina said, revealing a bright smile. Her hobby was cooking, and this dish had made her feel intrigued and feel that maybe, moving to demon world might be a good idea if she could taste such delicious food every day.
"Of course!" Mrs. Lester gladly agreed. She was happy to learn that her future daughter-in-law could cook. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach after all
