Chapter 120: Don’t Tell Him

“Is there anything I can help you with?” Lilica asked, feeling a little guilty.

“It’s fine. It’s just that I’ve been pretty busy. After a few years, I should have more time since by then, I wouldn’t be a new teacher anymore.” Sharon replied. She had just entered the knight academy as a teacher, so she was being used for menial tasks. After a few years, she wouldn’t be ordered to do trivial things and have more time to focus on herself.

“I’m sorry I can’t help with anything.” Lilica said apologetically, feeling bad that she couldn’t do anything for her. She wasn’t close to Zeke, so she couldn’t help the two of them.

Then, an idea came to mind. Although Lilica wasn’t close to Zeke, Kazuya was! Lilica then texted Kazuya to help set the two of them up.

After a while, the two of them came back from the toilet. Ventina and Ven had already ordered their food. When Sharon reached the table, she stopped staring at Ven and instead, focused on chatting and drinking her drink.

The four of them had a great time chatting. They then decided to continue shopping together. As Lilica was going down the escalator, she was suddenly pushed from behind.

“Help!” Lilica let out a yelp when she realized she was falling. Her first instinct was to cover her abdomen, protecting her baby.

“Lily!” Ven shouted as he tried to catch her falling figure. Everyone was alarmed at the sudden fall. Luckily, she wasn’t here alone. Ven caught her safely and immediately looked at the escalator to see who had done it. He then saw a guy wearing a baseball cap running away.

Ven quickly handed Lilica over to Ventina who was next to him, and ran up the escalator, trying to catch up with the guy with the cap.

“What happened?” Ventina asked, alarmed.

“I don’t know. I was pushed from behind just now.” Lilica replied, still feeling terrified. Lilica was the last of the four of them to go down the stairs so no one saw who the culprit was.

“Ven probably saw the culprit and ran to catch him.” Ventina guessed as they safely went down from the escalator. She led the terrified Lilica to a bench in the mall for her to sit down.

“Are you okay?” Sharon asked, feeling worried. She was the one who suggested they go celebrate so if she got hurt, it would partially be her fault.

“I’m fine. It’s just that I still feel a little scared.” Lilica said as cold sweat dripped down her pale face. Luckily, she had only fallen a few steps, so she wasn’t hurt anywhere.

“Let’s wait around here for Ven. He should be able to catch the culprit quickly.” Ventina tried to calm Lilica.

“I hope so.” Lilica said worriedly.

At the top of the escalator

Ven ran after the guy as fast as he could but still couldn’t catch up to him. He could tell that the guy was trained since his running posture was just like what the academy had trained them.

“Wait!” Ven shouted but the man didn’t even look back.

The man then quickly ran towards a door that was connected to the train station, mixing in with the crowd of people tat were entering mall. Ven couldn’t find the man anymore. He gave up and went back to the girls, in fear that the man wasn’t alone. He could have a companion who was waiting for a good opportunity to hurt Lilica.

Back to the three girls

“Sharon, can you not tell Kazuya about this? I don’t want him to be worried. I mean, there’s only one day left in the condition my dad had set for us I don’t want it to be ruined because I came out of the house.” Lilica said as she thought about how Kazuya’s hard work would go to waste if he knew she was pushed. He would surely disregard everything and come to her.

“Okay. I won’t tell him as long as you don’t get injured.” Sharon said as she put back the phone she had just taken out. She was about to tell Kazuya since Kazuya had told her to report everything that had happened during the whole one-month period.

After a while, Ven walked towards them, looking around for any suspicious person.

“Sorry. I lost the culprit in a crowd. He may come back and try to hurt you.” Ven said to Lilica.

“…” Lilica had an idea as to who the culprit could be. She had a feeling that it was probably related to Elvin. If it really was, then she would have to tell Kazuya about it.

“I think you should go home for now. It’s too dangerous.” Ven suggested.

“I agree.” Ventina said.

“Me too.” Sharon also agreed.

“If you guys say so.” Lilica replied helplessly.

As a result she was going home quicker than expected.
