Kazuya looked around the room to see if everyone was ready after he accepted the phone. Kazuya nodded to everyone and dialed the number.
At a certain place in the human world
A man’s phone rang in dimly lit room. The man looked at the phone and saw a dead person’s name on the phone. He immediately felt frustrated and shouted, “Bring 379 here!”
“Yes, boss!” One of the lackeys said as he gestured for his colleague to go call 379.
After a few seconds, 379 ran to the room swiftly. Everyone could tell that the boss was angry and that it was probably because of 379’s mistake.
“I’m here, boss.” The man exclaimed, not knowing what he did wrong.
“Why didn’t you destroy that woman’s phone?!” The man shouted angrily at his lackey’s stupidity.
“I-I didn’t find any phone on the woman!” 379 stuttered. He didn’t even think of destroying the phone in the first place since his boss hadn’t given any specific orders to destroy the phone.
“Then why didn’t you try to find it and destroy it?!” The man roared. He should have left this mission to the older spies since they knew the rule that they had destroy the phone even without his order. 379 was a newly recruited one so didn’t know this rule.
“I…” 379 was speechless. He didn’t know what to say to calm the boss down.
“Enough! Bring this guy to the torture room!” The man ordered furiously.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Yes, boss!” the lackey answered as he brought 379 to the torture room. 379 couldn’t say anything to refute since he knew he was in the wrong.
The man clutched his temple as he felt tired at his lackeys’ brainlessness. He sighed and thought to himself, ‘Whatever! There’s no way the royal family would be able to pin point me anyway.’
The man answered the phone with a chuckle and said in a dangerous tone, “Hey there~ Second Prince.”
Kazuya was surprised as to how the guy knew he was the one dialing the number. Meanwhile, the technical team tried their best to locate the hideout.
As if the man knew what Kazuya was thinking, he answered, “Such things require a little thinking. Oh, and…”
As the man said the word ‘and’, all the computers in the room froze at the same time, making it impossible continue tracing the exact address of the hideout.
Not soon after that, the phone was hung up by the man and Lacey’s phone suddenly exploded. Luckily, Kazuya felt something was wrong and quickly threw the phone to the ground, so he wasn’t injured.
“How far were you able to find the hideout?” The king asked after a few seconds.
“Reporting to your majesty the king! We weren’t able to locate them exactly, but we were able to scale it down to which area their hideout is at!” The leader of the team replied.
“And that is?” The king asked.
“The area is Shinjuku, Japan!” The leader replied.
As soon as Kazuya heard that, his face turned grim. He and Lilica had planned to go back to the human world after the wedding and their house were located quite close to Shinjuku. This would be like entering the enemy’s territory.
The leader continued reporting their findings. However, the king felt like something was strange. How come the magic that had been used against them were old, almost ancient? It was the type of magic that was unrefined but had many uses, very different from the modern magic used in this generation. He had only seen such magic from his father. It seems like he will need to call his father back from his umpteenth honeymoon to check on this magic. The other strange thing was that the owner of the voice was young. If the man had really used ancient magic, he should be at least a few thousand years old. Ancient magic was very hard to master and use. That was why no one from the king’s generation onward could use it.
After the leader finished reporting, the king and the princes exit the room to go find their wives. But on the way, they had to plan on how to deal with the enemy.
“Father. Lilica and I plan to return to the human world after our wedding. I can keep a close eye on them there.” Kazuya suggested. Although he didn’t want to put his wife and child in danger, someone had to go search around the area for more information.
“Okay, but you should move out of that mansion. I reckoned they already know where your mansion is.” The king replied. He knew that Kazuya actually liked adventurous things and that he was determined to find the enemy himself.
“Should Lily and I move to the human world too?” Kazuki asked worriedly. He was worried for his brother.
“No need. I’ll need you to fend the enemy from the demon realm. I’ll send a team of investigators to the human world beforehand anyway. They should be able to find the hideout before Kazuya’s wedding. You don’t need to be worried.” The kind reassured Kazuki.
