Mr. Vampire’s Wife
Chapter 110: Thoughtful Son

Chapter 110: Thoughtful Son

Mr. Stell saw his wife eating Kazuya’s meal happily. Seeing her blissful face made his mood better and the way she ate so happily like it was the best thing in the world was very similar to Lilica, made him start to feel hungry too so he put away his pride and tried the egg benedict in front of him.

“!!!” The moment his tongue tasted the warm egg, he was surprised to find out that the seasoning was just as he liked it. He turned to his wife, questioning her if she had told the prince about his preferences.

Mrs. Stell noticed her husband’s questioning gaze and knew what he wanted to ask. After all, they were married for over 200 years and knew what the other wanted just from one look. She shook her head as an answer to his gaze.

Mr. Stell found this even more strange, even creepy! How did this guy know his preferences?!

“You… Why did you season it this way?” Mr. Stell questioned Kazuya, still unwilling to call him by his name.

“Well…” Kazuya felt panicked. Did he season it too strongly? Was it not to his liking? Kazuya’s face looked totally normal while panicking inside. He decided to just tell the truth after racking his brain for an answer. He continued, “I just seasoned it as Lilica liked. We had talked to each other about our preferences before and I just thought maybe she was used to such flavors because Mrs. Stell usually make strong flavored foods. Is it not to your liking?”

“It… It’s not bad.” Mr. Stell replied. Although he wanted to say it tasted bad, he couldn’t betray his feelings. It was really delicious. He liked it almost as much as his wife’s cooking.

“Thank you, Mr. Stell.” Kazuya replied back as he felt relieved. At least Mr. Stell didn’t hate his cooking.

“Don’t get cocky! You still haven’t passed my test!” Mr. Stell said as he continued eating his food, ignoring Kazuya after that. Kazuya had only made two sets of dishes, meaning he didn’t make any for himself. Although he had a light breakfast before coming here, he still felt a little hungry since he had been eating supplements only ever since yesterday. He didn’t want to unnecessarily hurt Lilica, so he had held himself back from drinking her blood. As a result, he was a little thirsty all the time. He wanted to excuse himself to go eat some supplements but thought that it would seem rude, so he just stood there and waited until he could move onto the next task: cleaning the house.

“I understand.” Kazuya politely replied.

“You don’t have to stand there all the time. Did you cook any for yourself? Come eat with us.” Mrs. Stell warmly invited Kazuya to sit. At this point in time, she was totally welcoming of him. Mrs. Stell was very invested in cooking. When she saw Kazuya’s dishes, she immediately accepted him as her son-in-law.

“It’s fine, Mrs. Stell. I already had breakfast before I came here.” Kazuya explained, remaining still. He was afraid to sit since he hadn’t received permission from Mr. Stell yet. He didn’t want to make Mr. Stell’s mood go bad.

“Just call me Mom from now on. We’re family.” Mrs. Stell smiled warmly at Kazuya.

“What are you talking about?! I haven’t accepted him yet!” Mr. Stell shouted, his spoon still in mid-air.

“I didn’t tell him to call you Dad or what, right? What are you getting upset for? He’s got my approval to marry Lily so it’s logical for him to call me Mom.” Mrs. Stell retorted back.

“Just ignore this old man. I’ve already finished my food. Let’s go somewhere else, far away from this stubborn guy.” Mrs. Stell said to Kazuya while standing up.

Mrs. Stell picked up her dishes and walked towards the kitchen.

“Mrs. Stell! I’ll clean the dishes.” Kazuya quickly walked after, offering to clean the dishes, leaving Mr. Stell all alone in the dining room.

“Fine! You all leave me here alone!” Mr. Stell grumbled to himself and continued eating his breakfast.

In the kitchen

“I told you to call me Mom! I already considered you as my family so it’s fine. But is it rude for me to call your highness by your name?” Mrs. Stell asked, feeling confused as to how she should address him.

“You can just call me by my name… Mom.” Kazuya replied, his heart racing nervously. Was this how it felt to be accepted by your wife’s family?

“Okay, Kazuya.” Mrs. Stell said as she smiled happily.

“Mom, I’ll do the dishes. You can go rest.” Kazuya gently said as he took the dishes from Mrs. Stell.

“Okay, if you say so.” Mrs. Stell replied, feeling happy that she had gained a thoughtful son.
