Chapter 14: Split Personality?

Knock. Knock.

"Come in."

"These are the files regarding the meeting with N company you asked for." Lilica said as she gave him the files.

"Book a restaurant for tonight."

"Which restaurant, boss?"

"Any. Just make sure its a 4 above star restaurant."

Did the boss have another meeting tonight? But according to his schedule, there was none.

"Roger that. Which company are we having a meeting with tonight? I remember that you don't have any meetings for tonight, boss." Lilica asked curiously.

"...It's for my wife." Her boss glanced at her before answering, gesturing for no more questions.

As soon as Lilica heard this, her heart dropped. So the boss's marriage wasn't on the rocks like she had thought. Then why did he have to find a sex buddy like her every weekend?

Gong. Gong.

Suddenly, a chime rang, indicating that work hours were ending.

"I'm sorry for last Saturday." The previously cold boss spoke up unexpectedly gently.

"There was a problem at my house so I had to leave."

Lilica was stunned at the abrupt change in his tone. Does he have a split personality? Like the chime was his switch or something? Well, at least he knows how to differentiate between work and private life.

"Are you still angry?" Kazuya sighed and lifted his hands to drag her towards him. He suddenly grabbed her head to kiss her.

"...!!!" This sudden change in attitude had already froze her brains and the kiss made even more damage to her brain. She suddenly couldn't think of anything and just let her instincts take over her.

The kissed for what felt like half an hour before they calmed down. Lilica thought to herself; wasn't you marriage going great? Why did you just kiss me?

Seeing her confused look, Kazuya chuckled lightly. His new toy was really cute.

"This weekend I can't see you. I have to go home. Sorry." He said gently as he stroked her head.

Lilica didn't hate his movements even though she didn't like it when anyone touched her head.
