“So, how’s it going with my dad? Is he going accept you any time soon?” Lilica asked.
“Well, I don’t think I’ve made any progress myself. Mom is helping me out every time and I’m grateful for that, but it seems like it’s making you dad even more furious.” Kazuya replied.
“Hahaha. Good luck with convincing him. I can’t help you with anything. Anyways, can I go shopping tomorrow? It’s a weekend so Sharon’s free too. I’m sick of doing nothing at all for a whole month already.” Lilica pleaded cutely.
“Okay. The one-month period’s going to end tomorrow anyway. I’ll just go pick you up tomorrow night.” Kazuya decided to just let her do anything she wants. Lilica had been a good girl and listened to him for long enough already. It was time to give her a reward.
The two of them talked until Kazuya reached the palace and was about to go shower. Sharon was celebrating a salary raise this weekend with Lilica so Lilica had suggested going shopping on the way too.
The next day
Sharon and Lilica went out of the apartment at around 11 a.m. and Sharon had offered to drive to the nearest mall. The two of them shopped for so many things, especially new clothes. Lilica started buying some loose-fitting clothes and also bought quite a number of pregnancy books. She felt that the information on the internet may not all be beneficial, so she decided to buy books, which were more trustworthy, instead.
The two of them had become pretty close during the one-month time so they really got along well and had so much fun shopping that they forgot the time. It was 2pm by the time their stomachs were rumbling. They had forgotten lunch.
The two of them stopped by a restaurant for some food at chatted away. Meanwhile, on the other side of the mall, another couple were out shopping too.
Ven and Ventina had also come to this mall. Ventina had insisted on going to famous places in the demon realm and dragged Ven along almost every day. Even though Ven had taken a 2 month leave and had to return to the knight order soon, he still accompanied Ventina everywhere.

“Ven! What’s that?” Ventina asked excitedly as she pointed to an ice-cream shop that was very crowded. This mall had many popular shops gathered so it was very popular among the people.
“It’s just an ice cream shop.” Ven said as he tried to drag her away from the shop. It was way too crowded an he didn’t want to bother lining up to buy just ice-creams.
“Let’s try it!” Ventina said as she just ran off and lined up for the ice-cream. Ventina had worn white and pastel colored dresses for the whole time she was in the demon realm since she was afraid, she’d scare off Ven’s parents with her usual gothic clothes and make up.
Her appearance was that of an innocent young lady, making many heads turn at the sight of her beautiful innocent smile. Ventina was always smiling and laughing excitedly at these foreign new things. She was having so much fun, not having to live in fear and being careful all the time like in the human world.
Ven let out a light smile when he saw how excited she was. It was hard to imagine that such an innocent girl was older than him. She was acting like a grade-schooler! Ven then slowly followed her and on the way, he noticed that many eyes were on them. Of course, many girls were drooling from his handsome face, which he was used to. However, he noticed that the guys were staring at them too, especially at Ventina, all of them looking like hungry wolves wanting to eat Ventina up.
When he saw those lecherous gazes, something burned in his heart. He felt like he wanted to take Ventina out of these guys’ sight.
“Hey… Look at that girl. She looks so dazzling…” A guy’s voice sounded from the crowd.
“She’s alone! I’m going to try inviting her. She looks so innocent and easy.” The other guy replied.
When Ven heard that, he quickened his pace, trying to ward off other guys. Ven wanted shout, ‘She’s not alone! She’s with ME!’
“Ven! So slow! Quickly come here!” Ventina pouted and called out to Ven, oblivious to the gazes around her.
Ven quickly caught up to her, pulling her in closer to him and glared menacingly at the guy who said he was going to approach Ventina.
“!” Ventina was surprised at the sudden movement, her heart skipping a beat at his warm touch.
“What is it?” Ventina asked, trying to conceal her racing heart’s sound.
“Nothing. Just warding off pests.” Ven replied, still glaring at the guys.
“Pests? Why would there be any in a mall?” Ventina asked, feeling confused. His words didn’t make sense to her at all.
