A few hours passed and just when Mr. Stell was starting to feel drowsy, he heard some noises from outside the window. Mr. Stell stood up and looked out the window but saw nothing. He walked back to the bed and checked the barrier again if it was still fine.
However, the moment he walked away from the window, many shadows swiftly moved through the garden, infiltrating the villa.
Of course, being an ex-knight-student, Mr. Stell noticed this subtle movement outside and his guess was confirmed. The enemy’s target was really Lilica.
Very soon, the door was slowly opened. Mr. Stell feigned asleep as to make them underestimate the situation.
Several men entered the room and went straight for Lilica. They tried to destroy the barrier surrounding her. When Mr. Stell saw that all of them were focusing on Lilica, he quickly sprung up from the bed and subdued all of them. Caught in surprise, all of them weren’t able to escape from Mr. Stell’s magic. After all of them were down, Mr. Stell also used sleeping magic on them just in case they try to do something.
After making sure that no one escaped, Mr. Stell called for Rena to clean up the infiltrators. Mr. Stell thought to himself, ‘It seems like I won’t be sleeping tonight.’

At Bar Noble
This was the bar where Lilica and Kazuya had actually met for the first time. According to his subordinates, they lost sight of Ellie here. When he arrived, he only found the knight that had called him.
“Where are the others?” Kazuya asked as he looked around.
“Second Prince, the others are still looking for Ms. Ellie.” The guard replied with a serious face as his hands slowly took out an object.
Trusting his subordinates, Kazuya didn’t think too much of his answer and nodded before asking, "How’s the current situation?”
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
“We still haven’t found Ms. Ellie.” The man replied.
Just as Kazuya was about to ask for more details, the man exclaimed as he pointed behind Kazuya, “There! That’s Ms. Ellie!”
Kazuya turned to look behind him but only saw the human customers in the bar as usual and was confused. Did the guy just hallucinate?
However, just as he was about to turn back, the man stabbed Kazuya with a stun gun. Normally, stun guns and what not didn’t work on demons, but somehow, Kazuya felt that his consciousness was slowly drifting away.
Before he completely backed out, Kazuya saw his subordinate sneered and say, “It seems like what that man said is true… This can really be used on demons! Huh, second prince. If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for being too nosy. The boss had ordered us to bring everyone tailing Ms. Ellie to him. Who knows what he’ll do to you?”

In the demon realm
As soon as Ron heard that Ellie was nowhere to be found, he quickly rushed to the gate connecting the two worlds. As for the royal family, they quickly held an emergency meeting.
“Father! Let me go to the human realm. Kazuya could be in danger!” Kazuki plead. His father had stopped him every time he tried to go to the human realm to help Kazuya. Although he could understand that he was next in line for the throne and it was too risky, he still wanted to help out his brother, especially at a time like this were he could be in danger.
“No! You must stay here. Your grandfather is already in the human realm and we’ve already told him to go with Kazuya. Surely, nothing will happen to the two of them.” The king answered as his heart was filled with anxiousness. Deep down, he knew that even if his father was there, it didn’t mean that the two of them wouldn’t be in danger.
“But father! What if this was all the enemy’s plan? What if he had lured the both of them into a trap?” Kazuki argued.
The king frowned at the thought of it. Suddenly, his phone rang. His father was calling him.
“Father,” the king greeted.
“Kazuya’s presence is gone but his wife is still alive.” Kazuya’s grandfather said in a serious tone.
When one’s presence is gone, it usually meant only one thing; death. However, as Lilica was still alive, this meant that Kazuya wasn’t dead yet.
“What do you mean?” the king asked, clearly alert.
“By the time you called me, Kazuya had already gone out. I tried tracing his magic presence to find him and just when I finally found him, his presence suddenly disappeared. I quickly went to check on Lilica and she’s still alive. This can only mean that that guy had erased Kazuya’s magic presence.” Kazuya’s grandfather explained with a sigh. It seemed like after all these years, his friend had actually learned so many new moves. At this rate, he may bot be able o defeat that guy, especially since his magic power had decreased over time.
