Soon, the plane gradually became stabilized. A voice then sounded from the speaker to reassure the passengers of their safety. Kazuya then sent another knight to check up on what was happening.
After a while, the knight came back and reported, “Second Prince, it seems like the whole cabin crew were either hypnotized or put to sleep by some powerful magic. The plane has now been stabilized but as the autopilot mode had been destroyed earlier, someone will need to pilot the plane.”
Kazuya had somewhat expected this. It was probably one of the ancient magic spells casted by the enemy. There was still roughly 11 more hours until they reached their destination so that meant that there should be at least two knights taking turns to fly the plane.
“Go assist him.” Kazuya ordered as he planned on how to counterattack.
“Yes, Second Prince!” the knight said as he walked back to the pilot’s room.
The whole 11-hour trip went on peacefully after that. After the couple walked down the plane, went through customs, and was about to board the car prepared for them, Lilica still felt that something was about to go wrong.
“Hey… Let’s go by taxi. I feel something might go wrong again…” Lilica said as she stopped Kazuya from boarding the car.
Seeing her frown, Kazuya patted her head lovingly and said, “What could go wrong? Rena was the one who had prepared the car beforehand. She’s one of us so you don’t need to worry.”
Rena, who was standing behind the couple, gulped down her saliva secretly as she felt a pang of guilt flash past her heart.

“But…” Lilica still felt like something was going to happen. She didn’t now why but her instincts were telling her that something was wrong.
“Okay, to assure you, we’ll take the taxi.” Kazuya said in a doting tone. He thought that she was constantly insecure since she was pregnant.
The woman behind them sighed a sigh of relief the moment she heard Kazuya’s answer.
The couple then walked away to catch a taxi. The car driver that was in the prepared car then had to drive back to the company by himself. As Kazuya wanted to assure Lilica that there was nothing, Kazuya had also let one of the knights accompany the driver back. If there was actually something wrong with the car, the knight could save the driver in time. However, Kazuya didn’t actually think that there was something wrong since he had trusted Rena.
Not long after, the couple boarded the taxi back home. Just as they were about to settle their belongings, Kazuya received a phone call from the knight that was to accompany the driver.
“What happened?” Kazuya asked, sure that something was wrong. If nothing had went wrong, the knight wouldn’t have called.
“Second Prince, the car brake didn’t work so I have already taken the driver out of the car and let it crash in an alley.” The knight reported dutifully.
Kazuya’s face darkened the moment he heard the report. There was really something wrong with the car! Luckily, he had listened to Lilica. Otherwise, it would’ve been much harder to take her out of the car safely since he had to be careful of the baby.
“Alter his memory and come back to give me a detailed report.” Kazuya ordered. The knight he had sent was a vampire, so he was able to alter the driver’s memories.
“Yes, Second Prince.” The knight said as Kazuya hung up.
“Did something happen?” Lilica asked worriedly as she saw his dark face.
“I’ll tell you later. Rena, follow us to the study.” Kazuya ordered as he handed his luggage to the servants. He then put his hand on Lilica’s waist as he led her towards the study.
He had to question Rena about the car but didn’t want Lilica to feel excluded. When the three arrived at the study room, Kazuya put another chair next to his seat and helped Lilica to sit before sitting on the chair next to her.
“Rena, can you explain about the car?” Kazuya’s asked in a threatening tone.
This was the first time ever that Lilica had heard this tone of his. He was never hostile towards those close to him, so she had never heard him threaten anyone.
Even that time with Lacey, Kazuya’s voice wasn’t so scary. At that time, Kazuya was keeping his emotions in check to give his mother some face at the party. However, this time there was only the three of them in the room so he could threaten others all he wants.
Seeing the cold side of Kazuya for the first time in a while made Lilica feel a little scared.
As there was no response from Rena, Kazuya continued, “I didn’t want to believe it at first but all the classified information, including today’s flight, had made it impossible but to believe that you were behind it all.”
