Kazuya woke up with a jolt from the frightening dream in the middle of the night. He unconsciously clutched his chest, where the boy in his dream was stabbed. The dream felt real. Like it had happened to him before. However, he had no recollection of it.
Kazuya decided to go shower to calm his thoughts. After his shower, Kazuya came back to his bedroom. As he walked past the mirror, a scar near his left chest came into his sight. He actually had no recollection of this scar. Although vampires had self-healing powers, if a vampire was wounded by a special weapon designed to hurt vampires, those wounds would not heal immediately but instead, take several months to heal.
Kazuya couldn’t recall the origin of this scar when he was small so when he had asked the others around him, they just said that he was injured during the times he had sneaked out of the palace to play. Kazuya accepted that explanation when h was young but now that he thought about it, it didn’t make sense anymore. However, why would the others lie to him about it? Did they really not know the origin of the wound? Or, was what happened in the dream a reality?
“Impossible…” Kazuya muttered to himself. Although the events in his dream were somewhat similar to how he had met Lilienne, as in playing together in the forest, he clearly saw in the dream that the girl looked like Lilica more than Lilienne.
Kazuya walked to a cabinet in his room, where he stored his childhood things. He opened the cabinet and took out an old box. Inside the box were several things he considered important when he was small.
He took out an out plush doll with blonde hair and violet eyes. The doll also had wings and a tail, indicating that it was designed after a succubus. No matter how he looked at it, it looked like an exact replica of Lilica. However, he was sure that he had met Lilica for the first time in Japan. He remembered that he had received this doll from Lilienne. Since they were small, Lilienne was kind and gentle to every species. It wasn’t strange if she had a succubus plushie. He even remembered that Lilienne was the one who said she gave it to him when he had asked where the doll came from. If it wasn’t from Lilienne, then why would he treasure I so much when he was little?

No matter what, he couldn’t come to a conclusion since every time he tried to recall Lilienne and his meeting, his head would throb, preventing him from wanting to probe into his memory further. Kazuya put the doll back into the box and placed the box back into the cabinet. Thinking of Lilica, he took out his phone and messaged her.
‘Tomorrow, go to stay at Sharon’s place instead of Ven’s. I’ll send her to pick you up tomorrow morning.’
‘Why Sharon? I can just go stay at Ven’s place. I’m still not that close with your friends. Wouldn’t I just be intruding on her?’ Lilica replied almost instantly.
‘Why are you awake at this time? Go to sleep.’ Kazuya replied as he looked at the time. It was 3 a.m.
‘I just woke up to go to the kitchen for a cup of water. I was thirsty. I was about to go back to sleep when you messaged me. Anyways, tell me your reason.’ Lilica replied as she laid down on her fluffy bed.
Kazuya was about to reply when someone called him on his phone. It was Lilica.
“Hey… Are you going to sleep soon? No matter what I wanted to hear your voice, so I called. Hehe.” Lilica said softly as she let out a playful giggle.
“Wifey, staying up late is bad for your skin, you know?” Kazuya teased her.
“Don’t you want to hear my voice?” Lilica asked sulkily.
“Of course, I want to! It’s just that I’m worried about you.” Kazuya quickly replied.
“I know. Anyways, tell me why I can’t go stay at Ven’s place?” Lilica reminded him of her question.
“Because I’ll be jealous. He was just turned down by you and still haven’t moved on yet. I can’t leave you with him. The other guy friends I have are all untrustworthy. You’re too beautiful. I can’t guarantee they won’t do anything to you. So that leaves Sharon, the only girl in my circle of friends.” Kazuya explained as he laid down on his spacious bed, missing her presence.
“Can’t I just stay at your place then?” Lilica asked, already missing him.
“Your father told us not to see each other, right? If I know you’re at my place, I’ll want to stick with you all the time. Your father won’t accept me then.” Kazuya replied.
“Okay… I’ll go stay at Sharon’s place then. Can you come and see me one last time before I go to her house?” Lilica pleaded with a cute voice.
“Of course! Whatever my wife wishes for.” Kazuya sweetly replied.
“Then bring a personal item of yours tomorrow! I want a keepsake from you, so I can stand the loneliness during the one-month time. If not, I die of loneliness.” Lilica pleaded sweetly, feeling the urge to see his face stronger and stronger.
“Okay. Give me something too. I need to something to fill this lonely hole in my heart too.” Kazuya teased her by copying her. The two of them chatted for a while before hanging up, not wanting to tire the other person out.
