Chapter 102: First Long Speech

Chapter 102: First Long Speech

"Who's your father?!" Mr. Stell shouted loudly, unsatisfied at the way Kazuya called him.

"Father-in-law." Kazuya changed the way he addressed him.

"You…! I haven't agreed to your marriage yet!" Mr. Stell became even more furious.

"…Uncle?" Kazuya started guessing what he wanted to be addressed as.

"I'm not your uncle!" Mr. Stell shouted.

"Mr. Stell." Kazuya corrected himself once again.

"Enough with the nonsense! Don't think I don't know that you're trying to trick my daughter and lead her astray!" Mr. Stell taunted. He wasn't afraid of Kazuya since he despised all demons ranked higher than him, the only exception being the king and queen.

'But you were the one who corrected him first…' Lilica thought to herself.

"Mr. Stell, by all means, I am not tricking your daughter or anything. I sincerely love her and am willing to do anything for her, even risking my own life for her." Kazuya tried to persuade him.

"Hah! Do anything? Risk your own life? Then if I tell you to go die for her, will you?" Mr. Stell taunted.

"Ye…" Kazuya wasn't finished his sentence but was interrupted by Lilica.

"No! I won't allow you to harm him, even if you're my father!" Lilica shouted protectively. If Kazuya dies, she wouldn't be able to continue living in this world.

"Look at how you've been brainwashed! You said you weren't hypnotized, but you do realize, right? That vampires are able to hypnotize others. How are you sure you weren't brainwashed?!" Mr. Stell shouted at his daughter.

"He's never mistreated me before! Even though he'd hypnotized me a few times, it was all for my sake!" Lilica retorted back.

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"So, you admit you've been hypnotized before!" Mr. Stell shouted triumphantly.

"Urgh! Whatever I say, you won't accept it, anyway right? Why must you be so hard-headed?!" Lilica shouted.

Kazuya noticed that Lilica's emotions were fluctuating too quickly and he was really worried for her. Kazuya lifted her up princess-styled and said to Mr. Stell, "Let's talk downstairs. I don't want her emotions to fluctuate too much. It could affect her and the baby. At least, we should talk it out while sitting down." Kazuya suggested politely, as he carried her down the stairs, not making any room for discussion.

Mr. Stell followed the two of them grumpily. Although he could tell that Kazuya was being considerate and cared dearly for Lilica, he convinced himself that that was all an acting. He didn't want to believe that there were good high ranked demons.

Seeing that the three of them were coming down, the pair of siblings felt relieved, at least Mr. Stell had come out of his room. Mrs. Stell quickly helped Kazuya settle her daughter down and adjusted her in a position that was good for pregnancy.

After a while, all of them sat down. Kazuya decided to be the first one to speak up and said, "Mr. Stell, I am willing to do anything for you to bless our marriage. You don't have to accept me. You can continue hating me, but I want you to bless our marriage. I promise that I will never let her go. As you know, once a demon marries, they can never divorce and will spend the rest of their lives together till death. I plan to stay with Lilica forever, even after she has given birth. As for the engagement ring, we were really busy over these past few days that I didn't have time to take her to choose a ring and I'm sorry for that. If you want, I can let her choose her ring from the catalogue right now and it should be ready by tomorrow."

This was probably the first time ever he had ever talk for so long. He usually just replies to people coldly. However, he didn't want to risk angering his future father-in-law, so he tried his best to explain everything that Mr. Stell had nitpicked him for.

"…" Mr. Stell glared at him grumpily.

"I sincerely hope that you will bless our marriage." Kazuya politely said as he bowed his head, pleading Mr. Stell for his blessing.

"…You said you'll do anything?" Mr. Stell quietly said as he tried to calm his emotions down. He was quite startled when Kazuya bowed his head. A royalty bowing down politely to a normal citizen wasn't normal. This made Mr. Stell waver a little, so he had blurted out that he would give Kazuya a chance.

"Yes!" Kazuya shouted determinedly.

"Then do as I say for a month and I might consider agreeing to your marriage." Mr. Stell said smugly, sure that Kazuya wouldn't obey him for a full month.

"Yes!" Kazuya replied politely as he looked at Mr. Stell, his eyes full of determination.
