After a while, Sharon and Zeke finally finished going through all the guests from the list and handed the list to Ron and Ellie so they could type out the invitation.
“Urgh... This seems like a lot of work…” Ron complained when he saw the long list. The royal family loved to do things the traditional way, so all invitations were supposed to be written by hand. However, Kazuya told them they didn’t have to since he thought that doing it by computer should be faster. His mother had come to a compromise for it to be typed instead of scanning the guest list and letting a program do it.
“Umm… Can we use magic on the computer so that it types for us?” Ellie asked when she saw Ron’s troubled face.
“I think that should be fine since it’s not done by a program. But the thing is that there’s no such magic.” Sharon replied as she shrugged. Such magic was replaced by programs and such already, so it was practically ancient magic.
‘Although Father had forbidden me to use this magic, it should be fine if it’s in front of them, right? Ron’s my future husband so I want to help him as much as possible. I shouldn’t hide anything from him too.’ Ellie thought to herself.
“I know a spell that can help us.” Ellie spoke up after a few seconds.
“Huh? Really?!” Ron asked excitedly.
Ellie nodded shyly when she saw his glowing eyes. She then started drawing a little magic circle in the air and mumbled a few words. After that, the computer started typing by itself!
“Wow! I’ve never seen this type of magic! Where did you learn it from?” Sharon asked excitedly as she stared at the computer shockingly.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“My father taught me a few magic spells. It has more uses than modern magic, at least that’s what I think.” Ellie replied shyly.
“This is amazing! Who in the world is your father?” Zeke asked.
“He’s not anyone famous. Even if I told you his name, I don’t think you’ll know him.” Ellie replied as she smiled shyly.
“Tell us his name! Maybe we might know him.” Sharon urged the little girl. She was sure that the person who could invent such magic must be famous. However, the thing that made her confused was why she had never seen this type of magic before.
“His name is Michael Wilson.” Ellie replied honestly.
“Hmm… I’ve really never heard of him before…” All of them were quite shocked that such a person wasn’t famous.
Kazuki, who wasn’t sitting that far from them, was a little interested in what made the group so excited, so he eavesdropped on their conversation. The moment he saw Ellie’s magic, he felt very familiar with it. It was similar to the magic he saw his grandfather used before. The magic trace was also very similar, almost identical to the magic used by the enemy earlier…
If what she used was ancient magic, then it would solve all his questions. However, most people from his father’s generation onwards weren’t taught ancient magic so it should be impossible for Ellie to be able to use it. Unless Ellie’s father was able to use ancient magic too. Ancient magic was both hard to master and use and required strict training. However, Ellie didn’t look like she’s been through that much training.
“Kazuki? What’s the matter?” Lilienne interrupted Kazuki’s train of thought. Lilienne saw Kazuki, who usually didn’t use his brain that much, look so serious that it made her feel worried.
“Look at Ellie’s magic trace. Don’t you feel there’s something strange about it?” Kazuki whispered so that Ellie and the gang wouldn’t hear them.
Lilienne looked towards the computer and indeed, she felt a sense of familiarity with it.
“It’s a little similar to grandfather’s magic…” Lilienne replied, still looking towards the computer.
This made the both of them very suspicious towards Ellie. If she really used ancient magic, then it was possible that she may be related to their enemy since her magic trace was almost identical to the enemy’s. It was impossible to fake one’s magic trace.
Lilienne decided to go take a closer look at the magic together with Kazuki.
“Kazuki! Ellie’s amazing! She can use spells that we don’t even know about. She said that her father taught her how to use it.” Zeke explained when he saw the couple coming closer.
Being the center of attention made Ellie feel even more shy so she returned to hiding behind Ron’s back again.
“Ellie, did your father teach you any other spell?” Kazuki asked in a kind tone, even though his motive was to confirm his suspicions. If she was able to use other ancient spells, then she might really be related to the enemy…
