After a few minutes of walking, the trio reached their wives who were chatting happily. Kazuki quickly ran up to his wife and hugged her as he said playfully, “My wife! I’m back! Did you miss me?”
“Are you done talking with Father?” Lilienne asked as hugged him. It would be a lie to say that she didn’t miss him at all, but she wouldn’t say it out since Kazuki would definitely get carried away. Apart from her, she could also tell that her little baby enjoyed staying near his father.
“Yep! We’re done!” Kazuki said as he kissed Lilienne affectionately and bent down to kiss his little baby. He then revealed a childish happy smile and continued hugging his wife. He missed her dearly even though they were apart for only a few minutes.
“Hey! Don’t move so rapidly! You’ve just recovered!” Lilienne warned him.
Kazuki moved in closer and whispered in her ear seductively, “Don’t worry. I’m as fit as a fiddle. Want me to prove it?”
Lilienne asked back innocently, “How are you going to prove it?”
“You’ll find out tonight~ The clue is our bed~” Kazuki whispered mischievously as he revealed a sly grin.
Lilienne immediately knew what he was hinting at and blushed. Although they were already married for many months, she was still not used to such things.
Seeing the flirting couple, Kazuya moved in close to Lilica and bent down to kiss her and caught her by surprise. He wasn’t going to lose to his brother even in the area of flirting.
“Hey! Father and Mother are still here!” Lilica said as her ears turned a little red.
“It’s fine. Let them look.” Kazuya said as he pulled his wife closer to him and kissed her passionately.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
The king and queen saw how their children were competing on who was the best flirt and sighed helplessly. The queen thought, “Who did this two get such a childish side from?”
The king turned towards his wife and looked into her eyes lovingly, as if pleading for a kiss. He didn’t want to lose to his sons in this area too, apparently.
The queen just looked at her husband’s eyes and knew what he wanted. She now knew where the twins had gotten such a childish side from. The queen sighed inwardly and smiled helplessly as she moved in to kiss her husband. However, she quickly stopped the moment she saw her husband wanting to deepen the kiss. The children were still here!
“Ahem! So, how did things go?” The queen interrupted everyone, trying to change the mood.
“We’ll need to call grandfather back from his honeymoon. It seems like the magic that the enemy used was ancient magic.” Kazuki replied.
“We’ve scaled it down to which area their hideout is. It’s in Shinjuku, Japan.” Kazuya added. The six of them then discussed what they had to do to prepare for the future.
The next day
The funeral for Lacey was held by the royal family for three days. As Lacey was a noble, many acquaintances of hers came to the funeral. Of course, as her parents, Lacey’s parents were also there. Lacey’s father seemed to have accepted the fact that his only daughter had died. However, her mother looked like she had lost her soul.
As soon as she saw Kazuya, she ran up to him, intending to slap him. If it was not for him, her daughter wouldn’t have been killed! As Kazuya was chatting with Ken, or more like Ken being the only one speaking, Ken saw how Lacey’s mother had charged at his cousin. He quickly moved in to receive the slap instead.
Slap!
“Move! Don’t defend this bastard! I don’t care if you’re a prince! My daughter wouldn’t have died if not for you! You killed her! Give me back my daughter!” Lacey’s mother screamed as she cried like a madwoman.
Kazuya couldn’t say a word to refuse Lacey’s mother’s words. It was really his fault for trapping her in the dungeon, making her unable to escape from the enemy.
“No, Auntie! It was my fault she died! If only I stayed with her until Kazuya came to talk to her. I actually left her alone, leaving her to the enemy…” Ken said as he felt extremely regretful.
“I don’t care! Give me back my daughter!” Lacey’s mother screamed as her legs gave out. She sat down on the floor as she bawled her eyes out.
“I’m sorry, Auntie…” Ken apologized, his voice filled with guilt.
“My daughter… Give her back…” Lacey’s mother muttered soullessly.
Lacey’s father had just noticed the ruckus that was going on and quickly went in to help his wife stand up and coax her to calm down. He didn’t blame Kazuya and Ken for his daughter’s death since he knew that the one who had agreed to work with the enemy was Lacey herself. It was only logical that the enemy would kill her to keep their secret. Moreover, plotting to kill a member of the royal family was a capital crime. Just the fact that his daughter agreed to work with them made him shocked. He didn’t raise his daughter to be jealous of others to the point of killing.
“Everyone, I sincerely apologize for the disturbance. I’ll take my wife back first. I am deeply sorry.” Lacey’s father apologized to everyone as he dragged his wife, who was still muttering, out of the funeral.
This incident made Kazuya feel even more hatred for the enemy. If it wasn’t for the enemy, he wouldn’t have to live with such guilt in his life.
