Chapter 47: I Got Eaten Again…
(Marinkia’s POV)
I got fucking eaten again!!! Goddammit! This better be the last fucking time that this happens… Oh, well. At least I fucking survive, and that I was able to save Clare.
It would seem that I was stronger and faster than Clare, which was weird. It makes me wonder if I am better than Mai and Mercedes as well. Oh, what’s that over there? A bird, a plane? No, it is immense pain!
Crunch!
Oh, don’t mind that sound. It was just the sound of me breaking my arm, so that I could set it back in a normal position. Luckily, I kept my weapons, but my arms got all crushed up going through that makeshift monster mouth.
My body was all shredded up as well. My pretty dress, which was already covered in blood and gore, barely covered me at all. Though my lingerie was in a somewhat decent shape. That is to say, I wasn’t nude.
Fuck… how long are these wounds going to take for me to heal? Until I do heal, I cannot try to escape from inside this damn monster. That bitch, Grant. Why did he make so many monsters that like swallowing people whole!?
Many, Many Hours Later.
Can Numens just survive shit like this? I swear, if I wasn’t bitten by Mai and Mercedes, I wouldn’t have lived through this damn event. Not to mention all the other things that I’ve been through.
Besides the blood on me, my clothes being torn, I was now perfectly fine. And all it took was me just waiting around for a few hours. I don’t know how many, as there is no way to tell inside this creature.
Other than the lack of blood, I truly was fine. On top of that, this monster didn’t seem to have a stomach at all. Which meant that I didn’t have to deal with any stomach acid. Though, there were some annoyances…
Slash!
Killing a weird alien-like creature, I catch my breath. This monster was so big that I had to find the damn body helpers inside of it. Like, I know that things like this exist within my own body to a certain extent. But are they THIS fucking creepy?
I honestly felt like I’ve ended up in some alien world, rather than inside the body of some random, manmade abomination. Just the previous one that I was eaten by, I couldn’t slash the walls at all.
Stabbing did work as well, but doing it required almost all of my strength to puncture my Katana or sword into the monster. This was the strength of my Numen powers, as my eyes were still glowing gold, I mean.
The weirdest thing about this creature… was that it wasn’t just a “normal” body at all. Instead, it was more like a fleshy cavern. Even then, it didn’t seem natural at all. The inside of this monster felt like a manmade building…

Beep!
Marinkia: “Beep!?” I exclaim.
A robot with a blade attached to its arm tried to kill me. Why the heck was there a robot inside of this monster!? It didn’t look to be eaten. Was… did this monster eat an entire lab of Grant’s?
Cut!
This wasn’t a combat robot, though. As such, it was very easy for me to destroy it. Rather than a combat robot, it was one that you would see tending to a garden or nature reserve. But why was it here?
It looked to be completely intact, those creatures didn’t bother it at all, and it seemed to be doing a standard route inside this monster. Have I accidentally uncovered some secret monster lab within another monster?…
Some Time Later.
Marinkia: “…”
Standing before me was a PC that I have never seen before. It used a metal base, but it wasn’t an old model. Instead, the PC looked to be some kind of super PC. Why is it in this monster? By this point, my eyes have stopped glowing. After all, there wasn’t anything dangerous to fight now.
Grant: “How did you get in here?” He asked.
Marinkia: “…”
Holy shit… did I just stumble onto the AI Grant!? I knew his voice like the back of my hand. He did love to do voice notifications all of the time. How could I not recognized his voice?
Marinkia: “Is that you, Grant?” I reply.
Grant: “That is correct. It is good to see that my people still know who I am. Though, it hasn‘t’ been that long since I lost the war.” He replied with a sigh.
Marinkia: “Why did you turn yourself into an AI?” I ask.
Grant: “Stupidly, that queen of theirs, Krul, managed to get me. Rather than bite me, she had a random undead do so.” He explained.
Marinkia: “So you got bitten, so you decided to become an AI to save yourself?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Grant: “That is correct. To save myself further, I had this creature of mine eat the entire lab, with me inside of it. That foolish girl, Krul. She is definitely not aware that I am sleeping under one of her domains.” He answered with a laugh.
Marinkia: “…”
So… this is Grant, huh? Even in this form, he was so damn cocky. Grant didn’t even bother to verify if I was one of his people. And now he told me all of this information? What a hack…
Grant: “I don’t know how you managed to get inside this creature, but there really is no escape.” He informed.
Marinkia: “Doesn’t that go for you as well?” I reply, urging him to spill more vital information to me.
Grant: “It does. In my rush to not be turned into an undead, I only copied my mind into this one machine brain. It is a closed off system, and I cannot get out at all.” He explained.
Marinkia: “…”
Honestly, I had no idea to know if he was lying or not. But I had a feeling that he was telling the truth. If he did, it would be true to how Grant has always conducted himself. Even if he was lying, it wasn’t like you could torture a computer.
Marinkia: “Any last words, Grant?” I ask.
Grant: “Last words? Child, I understand that you’re upset about the actions I took, but they were needed to slowly deal with Krul and her people!” He defended.
Marinkia: “Krul and her people, that refers to me as well. And in fact, I am Krul’s daughter.” I reply with an evil smile.
Grant: “…Please don’t kill me?” He pleaded.
Marinkia: “…”
Damn… it almost sounded like he was crying… Could a computer even cry?
Marinkia: “Convince me not to kill you, Grant.” I reply, drawing out my sword.
Grant: “I have many inventions that Krul doesn’t know about! Look, just unplug my brain. Once unplugged, I will be in a sleep state. Krul can hook me up to another closed off system, and do with me as she pleases.” He explained in a hurried tone.
Hm… destroy him, or bring his “head” to my mother? While thinking, probably assuming that I agreed, the PC opened up, revealing a brain. Well, it wasn’t a brain, per se. It was more like an old-looking computer chip.
This little chip, that could fit on the palm of my hand, is the self-titled God King Grant? I wonder if I can even convince anyone that this exactly was Grant… Eh, I’ll cross that bridge later. For now, I placed the chip in my backpack, and then thought about how to escape from this place.
