Qiu Yeh dropped in a little later which gave Qiu Wen a little break from the employees as the brothers caught up instead.

"So much so for a drama…" Qiu Wen retorted as Brisbane continued to hug him when they sat on one of the tables. Xue Ting came over with freshly hot buns and stole a kiss from Qiu Wen before sitting with them.

"Morning!" She greeted Qiu Yeh as Brisbane climbed to her and hugged her. "Hey sweetie… How was your sleep? Did you enjoy your time with Uncle Jia Yi?" Xue Ting asked Brisbane while Qiu Wen was updating Qiu Yeh about the situation yesterday.

Brisbane smiled happily and nodded. "I like Auntie Wei Wei too… She is very nice but Uncle Jia Yi doesn't seem to like her." Xue Ting chuckled at Brisbane's observation as she fed her some buns.

"Don't worry… Uncle Jia Yi is just shy…" She comforted her while Qiu Yeh suggested that the team have lunch at Jang's Cove.

"Would that be an issue?" Qiu Wen questioned her as she thought for a moment.

"Hmm… off hand I don't think so but I would then need to tell them to close for the public since the crowd is large?" She suggested as the brothers grinned and nodded before announcing to everyone who cheered at the arrangement while she gave Macy a call to inform her to prepare for the large group at lunch till late in the evening.

Xue Ting felt it was also a good thing to invite May over as she sent a text to her and the twins to drop by the restaurant for a big gathering. The trio would be able to help out and thrilled to finally gather after a long time.

When the whole group arrived to Jang's Cove, May was already helping out with Macy and Xiao Jie when she was stunned by the crowd.

"Oh mine, didn't know there were so many of you!" May dragged Xue Ting to a corner and whispered to her.

"What's with all this whispering?" Xue Ting chuckled. "Are you shy with somebody?" Xue Ting teased while helping to put some cups on the trays.

May smacked her. "Stop teasing! I already had a boyfie… I'm going on a cruise date next few days." May showed off as Xue Ting rolled her eyes at her.

"I hope he treats you well. Girl, you need to protect yourself." Xue Ting nagged as May quickly pushed her to serve the guests while accidentally meeting Qiu Yeh's gaze. She primly nodded and smiled to greet him before scurrying back to the counter to serve the others. He tried to not give any reaction for fear people would know of their dealings and pretended to not know her.

He accompanied Qiu Wen to drink with the employees that afternoon. By the time it was early evening, they had continued on the hard liquors selections. They all had a great time reminiscing how tough it was to complete the projects and the turbulence in recent events was finally over with Xue Ting's help.

Xue Ting began to worry about Qiu Wen when she heard how slurry Qiu Wen's words were. She knew he had drunk too much and wanted to stop him only for Qiu Yeh to beat her to it in calling it a day. She was very impressed at how well Qiu Yeh could handle his liquor limit.

As Qiu Wen and Xue Ting stood outside sending off the team one by one, Qiu Wen was struggling to stay sober. He managed to take off his jacket to cover Xue Ting from catching a cold.

"You're still sober? Are you sure? Come, put it back on. You will feel very bad later when you catch wind of being drunk." Xue Ting nagged.

The moment the last taxi took the last batch of employees off while waiting for Jia Yi to drive over, he leaned on Xue Ting's shoulder, succumbing to the swirling dizziness. Xue Ting could feel the heat from his body scalding her while he was losing his soberness. She stood rubbing his back to comfort him and struggled to sustain his weight.

"Hold on a little longer alright. Jia Yi will be here soon…" She gently rubbed his arm to comfort him knowing how uncomfortable he was and felt grateful when she saw Jia Yi's car.

Jia Yi quickly alighted to help Xue Ting carry him to the car and put him in place first while the twins hopped into the car with Brisbane after ensuring they had cleaned up most of the mess, especially in the kitchen.

"Go on head home first. See you tomorrow!" Macy said to Xue Ting who was reluctant but May waved for her to leave too which made her ride with them.

Macy and Xiao Jie quickly cleaned up the last bits in the kitchen and were very glad for Qiu Yeh and May's help in cleaning up the dining area. It did not take long for Macy to chase the duo home as she wanted to enjoy closing early for the day.

"I can send you…" Qiu Yeh offered while walking her to the main road. May chuckled and shook her head.

"It's fine. I can just catch a taxi and you don't want anyone to know…" She was about to talk about their deal when she nearly tripped from her woozy mind. Qiu Yeh held her right arm to stabilise her.

"No one will know since this is a normal gesture of Xue Ting's brother-in-law towards her best friend." He said in a lower voice before wanting to hold her to the car but she insisted on walking on her own while he guarded her along the way to his car.

She was beginning to feel the alcohol making her high when she sat in the passenger seat as she forced herself to stay sober. She checked her mobile for new messages from her boyfriend but nothing came.

A part of her was annoyed with him since he had been uncontactable since yesterday. It reminded her of her past failed relationships she wished she could erase from her memory.

You're always falling for all the wrong guys! You need to protect yourself! Xue Ting's voice chimed in her head as she rolled her eyes and tried to shake it off.

"You're alright?" Qiu Yeh finally asked while driving to her house which he had always known the address to.

She scoffed. "I thought someone didn't want to talk anymore." She said sarcastically.

"You knew from the start this is a confidential assignment…" Before he could finish, she snapped at him out of annoyance with her boyfriend directed at Qiu Yeh instead.

"But she already had your brother's protection! What else could you give her? I get it, you're not over her but that doesn't mean she will resonate with your feelings! Just wake up, open your eyes, and look at how deep their love is!" She opened her eyes wide with her fingers but he still made no reaction.

"You know the agreement is still valid. Even then, extra protection is better. You never know, a huge storm is coming anytime…" May upon hearing about the alert was a little concerned but she knew it was best if she just stayed close to look after Xue Ting cause Qiu Yeh was always reliable.

She got so worked up that she felt like vomiting and made Qiu Yeh stop the car midway for her to throw up by the roadside instead. She did not expect herself to pass out while vomiting and that gave Qiu Yeh more trouble for the night as he carried her back into the car and enjoyed the peaceful drive to her house only to figure he did not have her door's passcode.

Feeling a little high himself, he decided to take a walk around her house compound for some fresh air to keep himself sober while waiting for her to recover in his car. Thinking back on the storm he said earlier surely did pull him back to his sober mind as he lamented to himself on the poor choice he made in fate to be born to this family.

As for Xue Ting, she began to wipe Qiu Wen with wet tissues while Jia Yi drove. Qiu Wen was so uncomfortable that Joy fed him some water occasionally. When he was finally much settled midway, Xue Ting told Jia Yi she wanted to wind down the window for some wind as Jia Yi turned off the air conditioner.

Jia Yi could not help but admire how well Xue Ting was taking care of him. Qiu Wen reached out for her and held onto her for comfort as the fresh air was sobering him up. By the time they reached home, Qiu Wen was rather sobered up that he could get out of the car himself and walked by himself though Xue Ting was still holding on to him.

The twins quickly rushed into the house with Brisbane as they knew the routine of taking care of a drunkard. Joy went to prepare his bath before bathing Brisbane and Matthew was making hangover drinks for everyone. After Xue Ting had her drink with the twins and sent them off to clean up before bed, she went to check on Qiu Wen who was half asleep in the bathtub.

"Hey… feeling better?" She asked gently while touching his forehead which had cooled down by a lot.

He opened his eyes which was bewitching before pulling her into the tub to soak together.

Without giving her a chance to retaliate, he kissed her while stripping her.

"Tang Qiu Wen!" She scolded as he chuckled lightly and placed his forehead on hers.

"I miss you…" He said in a very seductive voice which sent Xue Ting butterflies in her stomach.

"Thank you…" He continued in that tone while inhaling the sweet scent he adored as she calmed down in his arms.

"Why did you drink so much? It was just a gathering… Qiu Yeh didn't even drink that much…" She nagged.

"Oh, he drank more than I did but he was really good at handling his liquor than me… Speaking of which… Are you sure you don't want to be my secretary hmmm…" He teased while kissing her neck.

"No… I'm very sure. At this rate, you can never work!" She squealed in his arms as he nibbed her neck.

"Then let's make a baby like everyone had been asking…" Before she could protest, he had already savored her lips and rhythmically led her on another lovely night.
