"No, I don't want to go. I want to stay with you." Qiu Wen whined as he hugged Xue Ting in bed.

"I will always stay with you. What are you talking about Wen Wen?" Xue Ting had been coaxing him for a good ten minutes to get out of bed but to no avail. She continued to caress his soft hair as he buried his face onto her stomach.

"Look if we don't get to shower soon, I will be late for the press conference and the world won't know about your personal design advisor." She teased as Qiu Wen pouted and finally let her go.

"Come head to shower first. Bit by bit." She coaxed again before he dragged himself to the washroom.

Seeing the door closed and the shower began, she instantly sprinted out of the room to get ready in the guest room. Before he could get dressed, Xue Ting rushed out of the house after telling the twins to check on him in case he was delaying and missed his flight.

"Awww… she left without me." Qiu Wen whined as Joy pulled him to the dining hall. Joy was half chuckling as Qiu Wen reminded her of herself too.

"Hurry. Mummy made you your favorite omelet and Jia Yi is outside waiting. We got to go to school already. We will miss you." Joy kissed his left cheek as he pulled her in for a hug. He walked over to hug Matthew too.

"I will be back as soon as I can. Look after your mother and the house." Qiu Wen told Matthew solemnly as he nodded and waved goodbye leaving Qiu Wen half frustrated with the trip.

Meanwhile, Xue Ting arrived in her formal wear coupled with a trench coat at a packed office building as Pam spotted her and exchanged a brief nod before the security guards escorted Xue Ting towards Qiu Yeh.

"Good morning, Ms. Liew. An honor to have you here with us today. Thought you would be late." He teased at the end seeing Xue Ting raising an eyebrow at him as she chuckled.

"Nearly. I escaped with a threatening revenge message from him already." She showed Qiu Yeh Qiu Wen's message that he would punish her when he was back.

"Well, Ms. Design Advisor, let's get to work." She nodded as he showed her the script for the conference.

"Any issues?" He asked as she flipped through.

"No but is it necessary to bring up the past?" She asked after noticing one of the questions was how she and Qiu Wen met followed by the expected reply of the kidnapping case.

"That's his request. I guess, it's a statement to my mother." Qiu Yeh grew solemn as he cleared his throat.

"Alright. I will follow through with the arrangement. I hope I don't trouble you." Xue Ting said feeling a little guilty.

"You never had. It's just the Tang's family affair as always." Qiu Yeh shrugged as his assistant came to lead them in and began the conference.

After the introduction by the emcee, many questions came in from the reporters.

Are you pregnant?

Is it true Ms. Wei bribed the press to sabotage you? Is it because she was betrothed from young to Mr. Tang?

More questions flooded in as Xue Ting smiled calmly. Qiu Yeh knocked on the mic.

"Testing testing."

"Everyone, welcome, and thank you for taking the time off today to attend our press conference. Firstly we would like to apologise for the confusion that happened yesterday. Rest assured it was just a miscommunication. If Ms. Wei is involved with bribes, the authorities would manage that. If she were to sabotage my family, think about it, what use would it give her? She is also in the business now. Yes, she was betrothed to my brother but as you know, my brother is now married." Qiu Yeh addressed all the questions nonchalantly.

Xue Ting was impressed. It was as though Qiu Yeh was mocking them in return.

"If my brother were to divorce then why am I here and not him? The same goes for the pregnancy news." He shrugged as the press remained silent.

"The real big news we would like to announce is effective immediately, Ms. Liew Xue Ting is appointed as Mr. Tang Qiu Wen's personal design advisor. Ms. Liew has vast experience and is very talented. We hope that her joining our organisation will add more value to our company. Let's welcome her!"

A round of applause was heard as the press gasped and took pictures as well as hoarded them with more questions only for Qiu Yeh to pass the mic to Xue Ting.

The emcee then calmed the crowd down and began his interview.

"Ms. Liew let's start the interview by having you introduce yourself."

"Hello everyone, I am Liew Xue Ting better known as Sicily. I am also Mrs. Tang and my interest has always been with art. Though I currently work in a restaurant, I would be drawing something during my free time." She smiled and looked towards the emcee's direction for the next question which was quickly interrupted by a reporter.

"Why did you not pursue any qualifications related to art?" She took some time to ponder on her answer.

"Life was not easy back home. I had my siblings to support and being the eldest, I had to share the burden financially." She said humbly while maintaining a smile.

"If given a chance now, would you pursue your interest?" The next question came again as an impromptu which made her pondered deeper down.

"What do you think? Should I?" She candidly evades the question as the press laughed.

"You see my husband needs me and I am no longer a single lady. Other than household matters, he would come to consult me for ideas or even just to get me to listen to him sharing both good and bad news daily. So, if you're wondering how he came up with this position, that was it." Xue Ting explained and realised she had gone out of the script but Qiu Yeh discreetly gave her a thumbs up.

"How has the marriage life been? Any plans to have kids?" The emcee asked according to the script which made her chuckle.

Kids? You're already seeing them. She thought to herself as she crossed her legs.

"Let's just go with the flow for now." She laughed which kept the press happy.

"How did you meet Mr. Tang?" When she heard that from the emcee, she knew it was the last question.

"We have been family friends since young. We lost contact after a kidnapping case. I'm glad I met him again and is… Mrs. Tang now." She smiled as the crowd was surprised. They were bombarding her with more questions about the kidnapping. With that, it was Qiu Yeh's cue to end the press conference.

"Looks like we ran out of time. Thank you Mrs. Tang for your time and the press for your attendance at this conference. Any further questions, please leave them with our officers in charge. Thank you, everybody!" Qiu Yeh concluded quickly and dragged Xue Ting off stage while guarding her from the crowd.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Tang was absolutely furious at the news so she called Qiu Wen who was on the flight. It frustrated her even more when he did not pick up.

Instead, she called Qiu Yeh when Francesca barged into the house.

"Auntie Tang! Have you watched the news? Oh dear!" Francesca exclaimed as she sat in front of Mrs. Tang who was on the phone.

Qiu Yeh who boarded the car with Xue Ting picked up her call and put her on loudspeaker.

"Yes, Mother?"

"Could you explain what was that? It was a press conference to clear Francesca's name and I expect your PR team to do better with the big news." She asked with great annoyance.

"Oh, that's what it is. Your Director of Cravine branch's request. It benefits the company in a way through free marketing. So, why not?" Qiu Yeh ignored her annoyance and acted professionally.

"You better know what you're doing, Qiu Yeh! I am going to make that woman…" Qiu Yeh knew it would be nasty for Xue Ting to hear any further as he hung up on her.

Xue Ting looked at his gaze which was upset for her. "Don't. Please don't be upset. I have gotten used to it." Xue Ting tried comforting him but she knew if he did not hang up, it would definitely be worse. Qiu Yeh could sense her feeling guilty.

"I'm sorry." That was all he could say as they rode silently to Cravine.

Qiu Yeh regretted he did not do his best back then in trying to pursue Xue Ting and he wished he could provide her with more. He knew he would not want anything else and he could give up his main career in running the family business just for her. Besides, he had stashes of businesses everywhere to be able to sustain her family and he had lost count of how much fortune he had elsewhere. However, he chose to stay as he strived to gain his mother's approval and acknowledge his talent which was prevalent but yet, she chose to turn a blind eye.

Guess that's also what drove Dad away. He sighed at the chaotic family he had.
