She finally got a call from Qiu Wen while preparing the tables in the restaurant.
"Now, could you explain what it was with the script? Why must there be something mentioned on the past?" She snapped while putting him on hands-free as she prepared the tables.
"Chill honey. It was for Qiu Yeh to release the press release and make you heroin saving us. Credit is due where it is supposed to be." He tried to comfort but he could hear her sigh in a heavy breathe.
"That's not necessary…" Before she could retaliate, Qiu Wen distracted her. "Ting Ting…" He called her in a coquettish voice which made her pause and cleared her throat.
"You know I miss you…" He whined.
"It's only several hours." She sternly stated which made Qiu Wen smile knowing she was pretending to ignore him.
"Ting Ting…I'm sick…" He continued on in a coquettish voice.
"Sick? You sound very well…" She put down the basket on the cashier's top as Xiao Ji smiled to tease Xue Ting who was sipping from her bottle of water.
"Lovesick…" He said which startled Xue Ting as she choked while Xiao Ji panicked and slapped her back with some force as she coughed.
"Ting Ting? Are you alright? Ting Ting?" Qiu Wen called out over the phone half laughing half worrying of her.
"Don't you have to work? What are you doing on the line? Hurry up with your job and come home. Oh, I'm alone though. The kids would be gone to a camping trip later in the evening with the school." She updated as she wiped her mouth with a tissue.
"Then you should head there with your husband…" Xiao Ji teased as Qiu Wen overheard it and laughed.
"She's right you know. Please come… I'm sick…" He continued to whine as Xue Ting rolled her eyes.
"And who is going to help you?" She asked Xiao Ji as Macy stepped out and raised her hand. "Me! Don't worry, the crowd has been slow lately with the rainy season around the corner. No many come often for tea." Macy persuaded.
Xue Ting was looking forward to having some time for herself but she could not push Qiu Wen who was missing her so badly and whining like a little boy.
"Let me think about it." She said as she quickly hung up while Macy and Xiao Ji laughed.
"You should take a little break during our downtime season, Sicily." Xiao Ji commented as Xue Ting considered it the whole day.
Qiu Wen was working on a sketch but each time his thoughts flew back to Xue Ting. He missed her very much and wondered if this is how it would feel if they were ever to part again. He shook his head in denial not wanting to imagine it as he tried to call her again. She has not been picking up the past few missed calls due to lunch hours. He kept trying his luck while meddling on the fussy customer's order. He rolled his eyes being reminded this was Franscesca's arrangement and knew Xue Ting would definitely be able to help him solve it.
"Hello? What is it?" She asked tiredly.
"I'm stuck with a complicated design requirement. I need this to turn into a prototype in the next few days though but the sketch is still not finalised." He explained which reminded Xue Ting of her role as his Personal Design Advisor.
"Send over to me over the phone or email. I will have a look." She instructed as he obediently did so. She studied the design of the dragonfly and found it was a little unbalanced as she explained to him on parts to amend and tweak while the ideal type of material to use and color.
"Can't you just come for a week? Please…" He begged as she pondered while both Macy and Xiao Ji looked at her eagerly.

"Go, go…" They cheered as she smiled.
"If you really want me to then alright." She finally gave in to all of them in defeat.
He cheered out loud while Macy and Xiao Ji clapped. "I will book you the air ticket now for tonight."
"So fast?" She asked shockingly.
"It's a three-hour flight and I want you by my side tonight… it's another date…" He teased as she grinned and blushed
"I never agreed to date you this time…" She tried to bargain.
"Too late! Booked! I have sent you the details." He cheered upon sending her the air ticket.
She giggled. "Alright, I will sort out some work before I leave. Bye, stop calling!" She hung up before he could answer as he laughed at the other end while he celebrated.
He rushed more of the art to refine it digitally while he waited for her to come thereafter and got dressed well to pick her up from the airport with a bouquet of baby breath and chocolates.
She blushed upon arrival as he showered her with many kisses and spun her around. He was very excited she finally was by his side again. As he drove her back to the hotel, they shared dinner in his room from room service. She was too exhausted to eat much of the meal as he ate most of the stew while she nibbled on some of the bread and worked with him on the design.
"You should eat more." He urged as she shook her head.
"It's late, Wen Wen." She said.
"You're not afraid of being fat are you?" He teased as she chuckled.
"No... I am too tired and I don't have an appetite this late. And I do want to be fat so that you can't sweep me off my feet like a giant." She whined as he kissed her on her lips startling her. He broke away to take a look at her gentle, loving eyes gazing back at him as he pulled her in for a deep kiss the second time.
"I'm sorry I made you come so late. You should wash up and sleep first. I will clean here." He apologised as they broke away. It was enough to make her forgive him as she stole a kiss from his cheek before walking to the washroom.
While waiting for her to shower he worked on the designs and presentations but instead got caught getting frustrated when she stepped out of the shower. She walked over to chase him to shower instead.
She then took a look and tweaked a little at the end of the dragonfly's wings to be higher while she had some tiny legs created out which would be practical as a hairpin.
Satisfied with her design, she added the intended beads and added descriptions to be lightweight gems as accessories on the dragonfly's wings. Qiu Wen was long out of the shower as he stood watching her from behind captivated by her ideas.
She took a final look at her design as he embraced her from behind and startled her. He caught hold of her and kissed her whispering thank you.
"Are you sure this is good enough?" She asked skeptically while staring at the creation.
"Why not? As good as Qiu Qiu and am sure you're better. I am sending this to the client now." He praised her as he kissed her cheek.
"No, no, take a look first." She urged.
"I did." He smiled.
"You…" She then realised he must have stood for a while, peeping at her earlier.
"I was standing here for a while now." He said as he shifted to navigate and email the client the design.
"Done." He smiled as he carried her to the bed and wrapped her in his arms.
"I miss you…" He whispered as he showered her with kisses over and over.
"I'm here now…" She giggled as he sneezed.
"You caught a cold, didn't you? There, rest more…" She tucked him in the blanket as he pulled her into his arms when she switched off the table lamp. "I am so lucky to have you, Ting Ting…"
Xue Ting hummed lightly as he kissed her deeply. "Why did you have to bring up the past in the press?" She insisted on knowing as he sighed.
"I wanted my mother to be reminded of it… Why? Did she come after you? If she did, let me know I will…" She kissed him to stop him from finishing his sentence as her heart ached from having to keep the truth away from him to not hurt him.
"She didn't. Don't worry…" She lied to comfort him as he hugged her tightly.
"Don't leave me again, would you? I don't know what am I to do if I miss you this bad only after a few hours." He said as she forced herself to laugh to hide her teary eyes in the dark.
"It's been a day only." She corrected while discreetly wiping her wet eyes dry with her right palm as he chuckled wondering why did she tear up.
"I don't think I can bear the pain of the heartache, Ting Ting. I might just die from a heart attack missing you." He said as she burst out laughing.
"Wen Wen, that's nonsense!" She caressed his cheeks lovingly. "No one is leaving you. I am here. I miss you too though I was looking forward to some time alone…" She said gently while caressing his right cheek.
"I love you, Ting Ting. I really do." He hugged her closer as she grinned.
"I love you too, my love-sick boy." She giggled as he tickled her for teasing him.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" She apologised as he stopped tickling her. The thought of how much she had longed to be this happy with him made her fear of losing him soon. As she pushed aside her thoughts of Mrs. Tang, she daringly kissed him again, and this time when their gaze met, they both knew it if they went on with another kiss, none of them would hold back.
"Are you sure?" He asked gently as he placed her head on the bed gently.
Her eyes twinkled as she nodded. She pulled him in for another deep kiss and let him take over the rhythm as they made love for the first time again since sixteen years ago. The fire of their love which was held back for so long was finally finding its way to unleash themselves that night.
