Mrs. Tang was overjoyed to learn that her suspicions were right about Qiu Wen's marriage after stealing the contract from his house. She shared the news with Francesca who was equally overjoyed as Mrs. Tang decided to reveal the matter to Grandma.

"Just look at your effort pampering your so-called good grandson… Ma, listen to me. Your daughter-in-law was never a good person." Mrs. Tang snickered as Grandma was trying to control her anger. She wondered how real the contract was that even Qiu Yeh who was present in the living room was keeping quiet all the way.

"Grandma, I don't mind taking her place and I will ensure Qiu Wen will be as obedient as ever." Francesca took the chance to put in good words for herself as Grandma sighed heavily.

"Leave the contract to me. I know what to do." Grandma said before tapping on Qiu Yeh's shoulder. "Come with me." She instructed before walking back to her room.

When Qiu Yeh closed the door behind them, Grandma turned around with a very upset face.

"Grandma…" Qiu Yeh was worried she might faint from being agitated. "If you're so worried I will be this way, why didn't you tell me earlier?" Grandma's eyes were bulging red.

"They had reconciled and things aren't as bad as you thought. Guess that was just to get her to stay…" He briefly explained as Grandma relaxed a little learning that the couple eventually had made amends.

"How much else are you hiding for them?" Grandma questioned but Qiu Yeh did not intend to reveal any further. Grandma sighed again knowing she was asking the wrong person.

She called for her maid to tell the driver to get the car ready as she prepared to visit the couple in the middle of the night after confirming with Qiu Yeh on Xue Ting's new address. Qiu Yeh knew he had no choice but to let her confront the couple for their doings.

Grandma was so furious at them for playing with each other's sincerity that she barged into the couple's house slightly past midnight. The sudden intense doorbell woke the whole house up in annoyance instantly. Qiu Wen barged out of the room while letting out some curses and swears while Xue Ting was trailing behind not too far with the twins only to find Grandma at the front door.

"Grandma, what's wrong?" Qiu Wen was rubbing his forehead noticing her anger as she continued to glare at the couple before barging into their living room and sitting on their sofa.

"Great-grandma…" The twins called out in unison as she took out a copy of the contract and hurled it at the couple.

"You tell me what is this?! How could you fool everyone with such a serious matter? Do you think marriage is a joke?" Grandma scolded.

Qiu Wen and Xue Ting squatted to pick up the bits of loose paper only to find it was their marriage contract. Xue Ting gasped out loud while the twins peeked and were shocked.

Qiu Wen felt the pangs of remorse as he knelt in front of his disappointed grandma.

"I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry for this and it's all my idea. This has nothing to do with Xue Ting or the twins." Qiu Wen defended which made Grandma's heart ache a little and she knew Qiu Yeh was right that Qiu Wen did it to keep all of them around.

"No, it's also my fault for agreeing. I'm sorry, Grandma..." Xue Ting went over to Qiu Wen as she knelt beside him.

Grandma feeling tired from all the anger, leaned back onto the couch while folding her arms, ready to listen to their explanation.

"So, what is it about? This contract doesn't seem to comply else Xue Ting and twins would be long gone for the six months is up…" Before anyone could speak, Grandma stood and continued whining.

"You're lucky your mother brought this up tonight… If she were to announce this at the annual dinner, can you imagine how much humiliation it would be?" Grandma continued venting.

"What do you mean noncompliance? We have reconciled and all along if it weren't because of your good-for-nothing daughter and her schemes, I wouldn't need this contract to keep my family next to me!" Qiu Wen snapped as he punched the floor being very agitated. Xue Ting was holding Qiu Wen's arm to help him calm down. That upset Grandma even more. She was coming up with a deal for Qiu Wen to play along with his mother's plans and at the same time keep Xue Ting and the twins contented till the launch of their product where he can give up his position for Xavier.

"See, my daughter-in-law understands me the most. Come stop kneeling… We have let you suffer for way too long…" Grandma helped her up with the twins while Qiu Wen was trying to stand too and Grandma stared at him.

"Who said you can stand?" Grandma snarled as the twins giggled while Qiu Wen knelt back.

"Oh, sorry sorry..." Qiu Wen apologised.

"I'm sorry to wake you all so late... Come seat. Are you getting better Qiu Qiu? " She told the twins and Xue Ting.

"Yes, great-grandma... I just need to go slow till the wound heals..." Joy explained as Grandma smiled happily.

"Qiu Wen, I know what you want. I also need you to care about the company's reputation which was built many years and your brother's sacrifices..." Grandma started to sound more serious suddenly as she turned everyone's attention to Qiu Wen.

"I promise I will launch the product successfully and we both have plans. I intend to step down for Xavier to take over." Qiu Wen explained.

Grandma was silent for a moment as she pondered. "Then what's the plan after?"

"I want to focus on my family of course and fulfill my children's dreams and ambitions. I will be letting Matt conduct music lessons while Joy can conduct arts and crafts lessons or exhibitions to sell her limited edition designs. Ting Ting can always do whatever she wants. This is what I owe them all for the years I lost with them. All thanks to your daughter..." Qiu Wen spoke on purpose with sarcasm in the last line.

"Now young boy, watch your tone. You're requesting permission. Don't be too snobbish... " Grandma warned.

"Grandma, in fact..." Grandma instantly interrupted Xue Ting whom she knew would be siding with him.

"Grandma, think about it. You know how bad it was when Xue Ting left us when I was so young. It was worse when my anxiety was irregular after James left. The only reason I agreed to take charge of this new outlet was because I wished to find Xue Ting. Qiu Yeh found her and took care of her for me. How could I not repay him with such favor? Grandma, this is all I plead with you. I will agree to all of your conditions but once the launch is done, I want you to give me the permission to do what I want for my family."

Grandma sat still as she pondered. Qiu Wen was getting frustrated as he never liked being pestered.

"Provided you do not cut ties with any of us which includes your mother. I will agree." She said as she stood as though it was a conclusion and not a negotiation.

"So, where's the room for me tonight?" She asked nonchalantly as the twins rushed to escort her to Joy's room instead. Xue Ting helped Qiu Wen up as she kissed him.

"I didn't know you had so much planned out for us…" She whispered as Qiu Wen kissed her again.

"You're all my everything. I just need all of you to endure what's to come and constantly be by my side." He pleaded as she nodded with conviction.

"How did she get hold of the contract?" Qiu Wen questioned and Xue Ting recalled it must be that particular visit when she was in a rush in his house to get to Joy who was in a bad period pain. Before she could reply to him, Grandma's voice was heard.

"Stop wasting time! Head to bed all of you!" Grandma said to interrupt the couple on purpose before they all chuckled and Joy closed the door for Grandma to rest before heading to sleep in Matthew's room.
