"Mummy, you're alright? We saw the news… What happened?" Matthew ran to the cashier counter and questioned Xue Ting who was blinking rapidly in confusion while trying to think how much to return in change half wanted to answer Matthew but May was continuing her complaints about her over the phone.

So, we wouldn't need to head to your place tonight seriously. We are fine. Business is back as usual. The only issue is Tang's design would need to explain such defamation on me, their own relative. So, I don't know what are you worried about. Qiu Yeh?" Xue Ting teased as Joy giggled by her side with Macy and Xiao Ji who were busy with orders when Qiu Wen stepped in.

As May quickly hung up, Xue Ting's mother's voice made Qiu Wen stop doing what he was doing as Xue Ting looked over and met his gaze.

"Liew Xue Ting, what do you think you're doing on the news like that? What big news are you trying to shock me again? Haven't your marriage shocked me enough?" Xue Ting rolled her eyes a couple of times as Joy quickly went to help Qiu Wen with the orders so that Qiu Wen could walk over.

"Are you pregnant? Don't tell me you're divorcing! You this insolent daughter! Married without telling me! Having the twins struggle all you like and leave the house! Do you still think of me as your mother ha?! Liew Xue Ting answer me!" Xue Ting sighed as she closed her eyes listening to her mother's rant while Macy and Xiao Ji giggled. Qiu Wen squatted by her side and held her.

"Mother, sorry to disappoint she isn't pregnant. Yet…" Xue Ting opened her eyes and glared at Qiu Wen.

"Qiu Wen! What happened my dear son-in-law? Are you all alright? Are you all well and safe?" Xue Ting rolled her eyes and shook her head at the discrimination she encountered from her own mother.

"Yes, yes we are all good. We are not divorcing either. Don't worry I won't ever let that happen. As for the big news, last night we promised the press we would take them to her restaurant. It was just a way Xue Ting diverted her nervous self. Nothing much of a big news if you consider Xue Ting to work in the company alongside with me." Xue Ting was shocked as she blinked at Qiu Wen while Macy and Xiao Ji stopped what they were doing, both stunned at the announcement as Xue Ting shook her head at them.

"Oh! That's very good news! Oh, I am so glad about it!" Xue Ting's mother cheered. "Just one thing… How sure are you able to protect her from your mother?" Mdm. Ooi suddenly changed her tone.

"Later, there will be a press held by my brother's company to properly announce this with the press. Don't worry I will oversee this matter. I promise I won't let her get harm by anyone especially not my mother." Qiu Wen affirmed as Mdm. Ooi was still a little unconvinced but Xue Ting was on the verge of pressing the hang up button. He quickly diverted the phone away. "Mum, we got to go. Getting busy here. Take care and we will come to see you someday." Xue Ting did not let her mother reply as she instantlypressed the hang up button this time.

"Would you like to explain yourself? What are you talking about? I have never agreed to that!" Xue Ting snapped as Macy and Xiao Ji walked over worrying they would end up in a fight.

"I have actually thought of it and it seems to be best to surprise the press with the "big news". I am sure Qiu Yeh won't mind having you as my design advisor. I didn't say you need to work with me during office hours." Qiu Wen explained as Xue Ting raised an eyebrow.

"Why didn't you discuss this first with me before telling my mother? Now at the press conference, if something else comes up how are you explaining to her?" Xue Ting whined as Macy and Xiao Ji patted her shoulder.

"Don't worry. Your husband knows you so well. I agree with that. At least when it's not busy here, you can do what you love." Macy said as she walked back to cook.

"Macy's right. Go with it. I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Jang would support that too. Besides, with the twins around it's good enough. Oh, the logistics boy, Marc is a great help! When he isn't delivering, he can take over your job." Xiao Ji laid it out as she continued preparing orders.

Qiu Wen was putting on a hopeful face to persuade Xue Ting who was fuming as she walked out of the kitchen to get a breather in the garden for a moment with Qiu Wen following her.

In Qiu Yeh's office, they had released a statement apologising for the confusion and chaos as the reporters were sent on an interview with Xue Ting but there was a miscommunication. As compensation, they will be holding a press conference the next day for Xue Ting in Tang designs premise instead. The press then slowly died down on the ruckus caused by Francesca thereafter.

"What were you thinking as a director of sales and marketing to be reported this way? Yet you're using the press against my own family member? Are you out of your mind?! Qiu Yeh bellowed at Francesca who was timidly withstanding his temper. Qiu Yeh was a man of little words unless with people whom he was familiar. "Get out now! Don't you dare to plot anything else!" Qiu Yeh threw a file in her direction before she scrambled out of his office. As he calmed down, he had no choice but to call Qiu Wen to update him.

"I know. I heard." Qiu Wen said over the phone listening to Qiu Yeh's plans while putting him on loudspeaker with Xue Ting still sulking by his side.

"I'm sorry. We don't have a choice." Qiu Yeh said as Xue Ting asked Qiu Wen to hand over the phone.

"Hey, it's alright. I'm fine with it. I was supposed to give them an interview anyway. I promised them." Xue Ting said as Qiu Wen rubbed her back gently feeling bad for her.

"Smart little sister-in-law. I really have to praise you for your intelligence. But thank you. Really thank you for the cooperation." Qiu Yeh said as Xue Ting finally smiled a little.

"Then, you owe me two dates." She giggled as she teased Qiu Yeh while Qiu Wen grabbed the phone back.

"No flirting allowed! While we are at it, let's announce her position as my design advisor on a consultation basis. This is not a negotiation. She is under me and she works for me. She has no relation to your company whatsoever. I just need a piece of official news on this tomorrow." Qiu Wen said, agitated but firm as he sulked. Xue Ting who was giggling then stole a kiss to calm him.

"Consider it done. About your outstation tomorrow…" Qiu Yeh said as Xue Ting raised an eyebrow at Qiu Wen.

"That's why I say announce her position and I will get it sorted thereafter. Make sure you send her safely back to the cafe. I don't care if it takes an hour or more of your precious time." Qiu Wen demanded as Qiu Yeh knew it was his way of getting justice for his wife.

"I see. Alright, sis-in-law, perhaps we could head for the first date tomorrow?" Qiu Yeh teased as Xue Ting laughed.

"Alright!" Xue Ting quickly replied when Qiu Wen forcefully hung up on Qiu Yeh.

"Can't I just walk at the park with him or have a meal? He is after all my brother-in-law. Besides, he was the one who introduced me to the flower uncle in the market." She pleaded playfully as he squinted his eyes.

"Then why can't I accompany you? Isn't it enough?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I never said you can't come but you're heading outstation and leaving me alone. Besides, who said I agreed to be your design advisor?" She pretended to sulk as he tickled her. She ended up in his arms leaving Macy and Xiao Ji envying the couple from afar.

"I don't want to go really. I am dreading it. That's why am here in protest today. Besides, being my design advisor doesn't it mean you are also needed on the trip." He teased as Xue Ting kissed him.

"I will be fine. The kids too. Hmm, about your deal, not till you tell me how are you paying me exactly?" She teased as he laughed.

"Won't tell you yet." He teased in return and kissed her for a long while, feeling all lucky to have her by his side.
