She channeled the pure weight of her being through her weapon, and even Sam was forced down towards the ocean floor, unable to resist. He smashed into the continental shelf like a meteor, cracking the rock beneath him. With a grimace, he rose, and finally mustered the full power of his will. His Karmic enhancement was still going, but he was going to need a lot more than one to function here on that alone.
Many of the weaker fighters had collapsed, but as Sam rose, they rose as well, shielded by his power. Rodney Kane scoffed at them, having already risen himself. Sam noted the pillars of darkness propping him up though.
Pure heat radiated through the air, more than enough to melt any normal human into ash. The rock beneath their feet blazed a cherry red, and was starting to melt as they watched. The rod of lava stretching up into the sky seemed like a spear lanced into the underbelly of the heavens themselves, a display of defiance against the gods.
For a brief moment, Sam’s will faltered, and then it blazed back to life. With her transformation, Gaea had fully healed, her obsidian armor back to its prime condition.
“You have barely scratched the surface of my boundless might,” the monster declared. “Forge of Ancient Shaping!”
The ground began to tremble, and two massive forms emerged from the ground, standing next to the Titan. Both were around half her height, and radiated the power of half step E Rankers. With twinned roars, they lumbered forwards, heading towards the group.
“Fuckers!” Kane spat, before launching himself into the air on wings of shadow.
He aimed for the leftmost of the summons. The Overlord spat, the saliva sizzling away in an instant, and hurled himself towards the one on the right. Sam looked back towards his other allies, and they split up, following the two powerhouses. It seemed that it was down to just him, and Gaea.
Glaring up at the Titan, he felt his Dao resonate within him, growing stronger and stronger as his craving for revenge increased. With a howl, he thrust both hands out, dropping his hammer. Energy gathered between his palms, mixing his Dao, elemental energy and purified mana in unison. A tiny speck of pure light formed between his hands, before erupting outwards in a beam of concentrated might. It lanced through the sky, and slammed into Gaea’s face. Light exploded across the sky like a supernova, and Gaea almost fell. A notification popped up in Sam’s vision.

A shockwave crossed the distance between him and the aftermath of his skill in the blink of an eye, buffeting him with searing wind. With a grin, he exploded forwards, eager to see what else his Dao Seed could do for him. In an arena where he could fully test his might, who knew how far he could reach?
Gaea bellowed at him, projecting a cone of force that sent ripples flying through the air. He grabbed his hammer, and leaped. Space opened before him and closed as he hopped through, teleporting towards his foe. The furnace of his Dao continued to bloom, insights suddenly snapping into place.Weaving together his energy within his body, he empowered himself beyond the norm from his previous skills. His body burned with an internal fire as he laid eyes upon the Titan, a being who sought to erase humanity and destroy all he held dear. His rage combined with his power, and a spectral cloak of red light flapped behind him in the wind as he ascended.
His hammer expanded to its fullest size, and he began to cycle his remaining energy through it. It was time to bring Sky Splitting Vengeance to the next level of power.
Gaea brought her spear down, shaping the gargantuan lance of fiery rock into a more modest sized sickle. It certainly fit with the myths. Even then, it was still almost a dozen miles in length, and its edge eclipsed the horizon as it fell. A storm raged within Sam as he struggled to find the conceptual resonance within the Ancient skill that would allow him to upgrade it. He knew he had the power, but jumping rarities at this level was hard to do.
His skill combined the concept of his Dao, the stabilizing agent of his Earth elementalism, and the potent discord that made up his purified mana. Combined, they created a skill that allowed him to set off a devastating chain reaction that could destroy a small town in a single blow. However, it was time to bring that in line with his true might.
“What exactly does Vengeance have to do with this though?” He wondered as he teleported.
The skill had the term in its name, but that was simply a System flair, and nothing more. Then it hit him. What was more emblematic of vengeance than the burning of one’s entire power to achieve their revenge? Setting one’s very soul ablaze to tear apart their enemies was a large part of what the concept of Revenge meant, and this skill was no different in the danger that it invoked. With a grin, he channeled his Dao, and it all clicked. All he had to do now was forge himself in the fires of the upcoming battle.
