Some of the captains headed towards the shattered core remnants, but Sam stood still for a different reason. His Dao Echo resonated with something here, something that almost felt like a System skill. It was like it could feel the remnants of the power that the Titan had used. The feeling was strange to say the least, but Sam humored it.
He narrowed his eyes, channeling the power of his Dao Echo through them. He could see a golden outline of a tiny version of the Titan through his sight, and he watched as it summoned an entire arsenal of weapons one after the other. Sam walked over to it, and laid one hand on the wraith, feeling it resonate even more with his Dao. A sudden wave of information coursed through his mind, and the wraith was sucked into his hand. Suddenly, he was within the body of the Titan, towering over everything. He could feel an intense connection to the element of darkness, and with that connection, he could weave wonders.
With an absentminded curiosity, he summoned a sword to his hands. The blade was as black and midnight, and its edge was as sharp as a razor. With a smile, he summoned his hammer next, and a spectral version of Mjolnir came into being. The hammer fit perfectly into his hand.
He brought the weapon down, and felt the land buckle underneath him as the attack hit home. Banishing the hammer, he beheld the massive crater that it had left behind. He started to summon the weapons and armaments more rapidly, cycling through hundreds of different types of attacks. As he did so, he gradually adapted his abilities to the skill, using his Dao to summon the weapons instead of his elemental energy. By the time he was finished, he felt like he could create almost anything with his Dao energy. The vision ended as he crafted a working automaton with the skill, depositing him back in his real body. By this point, everyone else was gone, leaving him gazing at the remnants of the Titan.
A skill notification, and a different one, waited for him, but he wanted to test the skill first. He held out his left hand, and a shield of red light appeared, as solid as any metal. The shield blazed with light, and Sam tested it out, slamming it into the ground with full force. It did not even budge. With a smile, he opened the skill notification.

It seemed that his new Dao Echo was far more potent than he had originally thought. Not only did it provide him with hundreds of stat points, but apparently it allowed him to supernaturally boost his intuition and use it to inspire himself. It seemed that this ability went into the realm of the supernatural, allowing him to create new skills from almost nothing, although the cooldown put a bit of a damper on that.
Whistling to himself happily, Sam turned around and walked back towards the city, playing with his skill as he did so. He could make a clone of Mjolnir in one hand that would allow him to dual wield the hammers. He could create a spiked buckler to redirect attacks, or even a gun that he could channel his projectile skills through. The sky was the limit with his new skill, and he hesitantly tried to bring the automaton that he had created in the vision into existence. However, all that happened was that a small detonation of Dao energy scorched his armor. It seemed that the Titan had possessed this skill at a far higher level of mastery than him. In any case, he was more than happy with the results. He was looking forward to testing it out more in the coming days.
By the time he had reached the city walls, crews of people were already tidying up the debris left from the fight, helped by the Metropolis Core. At the size that the city was at, it would take too long to manually select all the repairs that needed to be done through the Core. Instead, it was a lot more efficient to use the labor of the citizens, who were akin to hydraulic engines at their level of power. Sam watched as people carried pieces of wood and stone larger than their own bodies, with such ease that it almost appeared like they were props in some movie.
Sam walked through the rows of workers toiling away at their task, and spotted something that seemed to be causing quite a bit of trouble. A massive boulder, likely weighing multiple tons, was stuck into the ground. People were trying to move it, but they were unable to.
Sam walked over, and the people made way for him. He took in a breath, looking at the massive boulder, and then walked over towards it. With a grunt, he dug his hands underneath the rock, and started to lift. The soil underneath his feet sunk down as he worked, but he managed to lever the rock out of the ground. He flicked it up with his hands, and caught it out of the air, hefting it above his head. Then he started walking towards the nearest debris pile. The nearby workers watched him in awe, and as he set it down, a few of them started clapping.
Sam watched as the pile of rock and wood started to float away, carried off by the power of the Metropolis Core. It was being used to transport large aggregations of debris, placed in piles by the citizens. It was just more efficient than doing it the normal way.
