“Your family tried to destroy our cities, kill our species and devastated our planet. Did you really think that we would just leave you alone?” Sam asked, the light of his Dao burning around him.
“Ah, Sam Atlas. The oddity finally shows his face. Limned in rays of transcendent potential and Dao. It is curious that one such as you formed among such a weak race.”
“The hell does she mean by that?” Rodney Kane asked, giving Sam a look of suspicion.
He waved his hand to head off the question. “It hardly matters when that race is the one I defend.”
Holding out his free hand, Sam channeled his Dao, elemental energy and purified mana to it. It was a combination that he had never tried before, too afraid of catastrophic failure. With his current stats and power however, he was ready. A lance of blinding light formed in the air, held aloft on streamers of power. It shook as it formed, but Sam loosed it nonetheless. Like a comet, it blazed through the air, straight towards the Titan herself.
A bulwark of molten rock rose from the sea, standing in the path of the attack. Sam merely smiled. The lance bored through the rock like butter, and slammed into the Titan. A detonation of red, blue and pure white sounded out as the delicate skill matrix collapsed, loosing its full power upon its target. Sam heard rock evaporating beneath the strike, and as the dust cleared, he could see a massive crater in the Titan’s chest. It seemed that his new luck and Karma was coming into play, as he hadn’t bothered to aim, seeing as the Titan had been hidden.
Gaea smoldered with rage, her burning bright eyes boring through the air. If looks could kill, Sam would have been already dead. In fact, had he been a mere mortal, he would have been dead.
“My turn,” the Overlord and Rodney Kane said in unison, before firing their own projectile attacks.
A beam of darkness raced alongside a comet of pure red energy, both vying for supremacy. Rather than destabilize them, this seemed to enhance their power, and when they impacted the mile wide chest of the Titan, they thundered and fulminated, blasting the rock apart. Where the crater had been was now a football field sized depression. On any weaker surface, those attacks would have taken out a large village, or perhaps even a small city. However, the Titan was made out of E Rank materials, and as such was harder to damage.

“Pathetic ants, raising your hands to a god. You will find that I am not as weak as my relatives.”
Molten rock cascaded up the Titan’s form, sinking into the hole, and repairing it in an instant. As long as she was in contact with the ocean floor, she could repair any damage taken in an instant.
With grimaces, the three powerhouses took to the air, flying towards the Titan, or in Sam’s case, teleporting. The other four prepared their own attacks, potent in their own right.
Gaea let out a rumbling laugh that sounded like the grinding of tectonic plates, and started to rise out of the water, born aloft on a massive plateau of rock. Steam hissed out of the water, as molten rock met it, shrouding the area in fog. Only the looming figure of the Titan could be seen, glowing faintly.
Sam gathered his energy to his hammer, causing it to burn brightly. He could sense that he was getting closer to forming more Ancient skills with the influence of his Dao Seed, but he wasn’t quite there yet. His projectile skill was quite close to ranking up, and he just needed to find the conceptual resonance.
Gaea let out a breath, and the fog cleared, revealing plates of obsidian that had formed over her rocky skin. Each plate looked like a mountaintop, and were a hundred feet thick. Streams of elemental energy cascaded off the Titan’s bulk like rivers, causing the air to feel heavy. Unlike the other Titans, Gaea’s aura seemed to be under her control, and there was no localized effect. All that meant was that she could probably concentrate it upon a single spot.
A few moments later, this came into play. A cylinder of gravitational force locked down upon the three men, trying to force them to the ground. Gravity doubled, and then doubled again, increasing exponentially. Whereas before, her attacks had created stone in the sky, it seemed that she had gained greater control over her element. By the time the effect was fully realized, Sam almost felt like a normal human once more. However, he sent out a pulse of Dao energy that destabilized the force. The Overlord and Rodney Kane aided him, their own Daos coming into play. Kane’s Dao felt repulsive, slimy and self serving, but Sam dealt with it. It was better than the alternative.
The gravitational field was thrown off, and the Titan seemed to pause, surprised. Gaea recovered quickly however, and brought one hand whipping down, far faster than her bulk should have allowed. Another cone of gravity shot down around it, slowing their movements. With a grimace, Sam broke free once more, and teleported out of the area of effect. The other two shielded themselves, and used the momentum of the attack to slide away under the hand, emerging unharmed on the side.
Sam started to enhance himself with his various skills, feeling power course through his veins. Surging forwards, he landed on the Titan’s arm, continuing to teleport upwards. He saw the other two flying to keep up, gathering their own buffs and energy attacks.
