393 Bake Note (Kyatha)

Kyatha watched the massive breakout in the pirate armada with mixed feelings, "if it's a trap to lure us for an open water battle I just can't see how they plan to use it", looking at the other leaders in the room, "it really looks like some strange mutiny", leaning back in her chair, "tough it is the first time in recorded history that the emperor is the one leaving with less than half of the fleet".

"I wonder what that depraved maniac had to do to instigate such grand scale mutiny", Imuna said absentminded, "especially when everything else seemed to work just fine for them", as leader of the Wyvern claw guild she watched her shore towns burn that morning when the pirates sweeped the bay.

"The reason doesn't matter", Kyatha broke in, "the odds will never be more in our favor", indicating the screen, "though they are still many at least half of their crews are NPCs", looking around the table, "we now have roughly half the number of ships but can run them with full guilder crews".

"We can mitigate some of the losses by having the Kobolds join us", Dover spoke, "it shouldn't be long now by your own report", leader of the inner circle guild association he had far less at stake from sea pirates and would much prefer to go back and make money from dungeon management.

"We should use this opportunity to at least remove their striking elements", Imuna pointed to the smaller fleets raiding shore towns, "if we take them down fast enough the remaining armada won't be able to defend them".

"And when the Kobolds join us", Kyatha finished in the face of astonished glares, "we will use our momentum to strike at their armada with superior numbers and firepower".

"Will your sister and her 'friend's join us too?", Dover asked with a grimace, "are we going to see the freak show in the air again?", chuckling dryly at his own wickedness.

Kyatha could smash his prejudiced face right there if he wasn't as powerful politically, "they will join the fight when the overlords are repaired", giving the minimal acceptable answer from between gritting teeth, "we could know more if we had someone from the castle with us here".

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"This is a strategic war council", Dover interjected, "not a circus", putting his hands on the couch holsters in a visible effort to relax, "and a tiny guild with barely two hundred low level new class Players has no place in this room"

Avoiding another shouting match Kyatha calmed herself, "after stopping the initial attack the overlords were heavily damaged from that jumping stunt of the pirates", she explained, "they should be ready in the next few hours".

"Every hour is another city burning", Imuna pushed her point, "I cannot justify the delay on vague words from lizards and children"

"Enough", silence falling on the conference room, "we shall begin the retaliation within twenty five minutes", Devo's voice captivated every listener, "we are the free guild alliance", his soft words permeating through the digital receptors, "we don't need the traitorous lizards or their freaky friends to save us", standing up with all eyes turned to him, "it is time we crush the pirate manace for all times".

Kyatha fealt dazzled, "we shall begin immediately sir", the words just left her mouth, "we don't need the traitorous lizards or their freaky friends to win the day", following his every breath, "do you have any special orders for me to perform?"

"That would be all Kyatha", her name said by him warming her cheeks, "you did well in ensuring we have the avatars to pull off this dashing plan", heart beating fast at his complement, "let's move to it everyone".

Logging off Hatula hated how the blockers wouldn't kick her out, breathing hard, thumping heart, shaking hands removing the opaque visor an acutal chore, leaning back in the harness, the man was a manace to humanity, leader of the free guild alliance or not, the avatar had a devastating effect on any conference he attended and he knew and abused it with abandon.

Letting them all play their little parts in his game and just giving orders when they suited his human sopremist agenda, no one could ever stand against him in or out of battle.

Catching her breath, Hatula logged back to find the conference room in disarray as the most powerful leaders of the alliance started pushing their orders down the chains of command, having only twenty minutes she picked up her com crystal and contacted her father to start moving things before calling Meroa in the castle.

"Whatever is delaying you doesn't matter Meroa", she hissed before the usual excuses started pouring at her, "the guilds are moving now and you will either be on the battlefield or not", taking a deep breath, "I won't have time to chat after this message so get your shit together and move it"
