312 Bold Igloo

312 Bold Igloo

Allen was shook, in all the time that had passed the timer moved by a single milisecond and now he lost whole minutes, scared that more damage would be done to the crystal he created the sensor array in blinding speed, not bothering to filter anything he just approved all the options so he could see what was happening outside.

The window popped as a full orbital vision seeing in every direction at once, the closest object was the wall, Kobolds stood not far from where he assumed he was floating, shifting the center of his array let him see the crystal pulsing silently near that same wall and casting bluish light over it, considering the silence and adding the body language of the creatures Allen added an auditory sensor to his object.

The black newcomer was getting a mouthful from the elder that had kneeled, Allen wasn't sure why it attacked him but thought maybe he was defending Gem from an alien artefact so he could symphasize with the notion.

"Enough ArmBasher", Allen finally said when he oriented himself, "I'm fine".

The Kobolds turned to him, "you can put me back on the shrine now" Allen added finally.

When BoneSmith picked him up like a delicate baby Allen got some heavy motion sickness that stopped only when he detached the sensors from the crystal, getting a clear view again he could concentrate on the creatures around him when something caiught his attention.

He would know that glazed eyes look on any face every time, human or otherwise, "Gem", he commanded, "stop reading my messages", she nodded at her name but stayed focused on the invisible lines running through her display, "Gem stop it now", he sounded much more desperate than he thought he would be, a look of understanding descended on the elder's faces as they remembered another life and ArmBasher hit Gem on the head with the shaman staff to the surprised gasps of all the younger Kobolds.

Gem looked at ArmBasher with hurt in her eyes, "I didn't do anything?" She whined, her eyes drifting to an unseen point in front of her before ArmBasher raised the staff again, "but it's just there" she said, "floating in the air".

"We can't see it" BoneSmith said quickly, "they are private messages for him" it added, "so it's rude to read them without permission".

Gem sighed "fine" she said and tried to look away.

"You need to exit the user interface Gem", Allen chimed in "think 'Log off user 210m' and it should do it", as soon as he saw she wasn't looking for invisible icons Allen logged in and changed his instance and password.

"She broke the law", Allen heard a raspy voice, "she has to die", it sounded like a mantra from the black Kobold's lips, "she broke the law she has to die", like it was all one word.

JewelSetter stood between the two youngsters to prevent any more folly and BoneSmith positioned herself between him and the crystal.

Gem looked hurt at the words, "but Zohran I wont turn Feral" she cried, "the first Allen saved me"

"Why didn't he save my momma?" Zohran cried in anguish, "she broke the law and had to die", his voice broke down, "to save all of us", he fell to his knees and Gem rushed towards him, "she had to die", he shouted as a cloud of fire and ash covered both of them and Gem cried in pain as the flames engulfed her.
