216 Blasted Bores

Karen logged in already consigned to her death, she didnt care any more, the little murdering hobo will stab her and she will bleed to death, he got no experience from killing her over and over and the loot she could offer was diminished to a few copper coins, while her virtual body died she was organizing the shop inventory when she noticed one peculiar item she could offer Players, "wanted <> dead or alive" posters, it gave her an idea and when she resurrected next she held on to life just long enough to create it, and the system popup was so satisfying her last thought before respawning was now she could die a happy woman.

Walking down the stairs gave Lilia the chills, the magical light that changed as players moved below the appraisal orbs was so bizzare she had to wonder what whoever built this place was even thinking, the two players before her were an over powered Celestial Wizard and a devastating Chronomancer, both of which had maxed attributes for their classes, the orbs couldn't lie.

In comarison her Soulguard was powerful but not overwhelming, in her third resurgence for the class she had some good skills but low attributes and she hoped this strange low level high profile raid quest would give her the edge she needed to breach the first block on 9th level.

Being a type of healer mage had a lot of advantages over the more powerful yet system dependant divine healers, and it gave her much satisfaction to play as a hero for whole groups even at low levels, the strange combination of area of effect and target enhanced healing spells put her in the front row for party requests and she reaped her rewards accordingly.

Their group was a strange combination of healers and damage dealers with almost no specialists and no tanks at all, being left with the strange farmer person that organized the raid they were a mesh from all the different groups and were meant to stay behind and give backup to whichever scouting group got into trouble.

It was a low risk high reward kind of job that appealed to the power gamers that stayed behind, they could conserve their resources while the others got the better loot but since the backup were all high tiered resurgent characters they each had their own deals for the loot of any dungeon raid or party they joined so without venturing anything they still got some very good stuff.

Lilia's thoughts were interrupted by the din clang of battle coming from the left entrance, since her group went to the right she wasn't thrilled about rushing into battle with a bunch of strangers when her friends could soon be in danger but a job was a job and as the backup team they needed to decide quickly if they should rush to help so soon or let the scouts do some of the fighting without their help.

Two of their group broke off at a run and another followed soon after, she didn't even know their names and now she was the only woman in the "backup" team, when the sounds subsided it the left tunnel they all came back carrying a wounded rogue.

"Healing blast", she cast and the thief was immediately healthy as if he was never hurt, only his torn clothes left as evidence to the calamity that almost came to him, when the sounds of battle came from the right tunnel she almost bolted in when a strong hand held her back.

"You stick with us now girly", she looked at the beautiful face of the one character she couldn't figure out, the class devined by the orbs was [Whore] and she still couldn't wrap her mind around such a choice, with the only other weird class being the [Peasant] she connected them to the forum discussions about resurgence classes but had to leave it for later.

"My friends are out there" she replied, "I want to go help them".

He shook his head, "not yet", holding her wrist in a vise like grip, "if they need us they'll call".

When he just finished talking fighting started in the other two tunnels and the backup team gathered around the [Peasant] to see where he will go.
