"Change object", Allen looked at the nail twisting around itself to become a spring, testing the tension inside the object and feeling good at his increased control he put it in its place with the other pieces of his creation.
Picking another nail he did the same only this time making it a flat headed spring for another part of the machine, soldering the pin holding it to the back of the box he finally closed the lid and pushed the button, lights swirled around through the crystals he used in place of glass beads, clapping his hands in happiness at his success he pushed another button and the lights stabilized in the central orb.
"What is that?" Kyatha was much calmer since they entered the dungeon and started training his spells and skills.
"Something I read about in a book", showing her his box thinking she probably never even heard of a computer since they only existed in Shoul's other kinds of books.
"What does it do?" disappointing him though he knew it wasn't probable that she would know what it was.
"It's called a computer" squinting as she tensed at the words, "this is just an early type and can't do much", putting it in front of her "but more advanced versions can do some pretty awesome mathematical stuff", not sure if he should explain mathematics when she snatched his box "Hey!".
"You", he knew that mood, "made", protracting every word meant she was going to scream "A COMPUTER?" there it was.
"I won't promise not to make them", trying to defend himself, "it's just a game".
"You made a computer inside the game?" she punched every button making the lights swirl in pleasant patterns.
"Yes I made this computer", trying to take his box back he finally gave up "you can have that one", and took out the half finished next generation coding machine, "I will make another".
"How?" he didn't like her accusing tone.
"I used 'change object' to make the parts and put it together by the schematics in the book", hurt she thought he cheated somehow, "it's just physics".
"No one can make technology in the game", shooting a suspicious look at him "ask your friend RedFox21 if he ever heard of a computer in the game".
"I know you can play games on a computer", he finally said, "but it will have to be a much more advanced machine than the one you took".
Squinting meant she was trying to decide if he made fun of her, "you really can play games on it", trying to defend his statement, "Shoul has a whole library of games but no computer to play them on".
"Stop", cutting him when she thought he didn't understand her, "what do you need to make the more advanced computer?"
"The book has a list of materials I never met in my treasures", feeling as sad as he sounded, "most things I can replace", trying not to dissuade her too much, "but I don't know where to find plastics and microchips"
Looking at him pitiably "what is the most advanced computer you can make with what you do know?" the question surprised him.
"I can make it calculate the motions of stars", answering from the book applications, "and it can infer a second grade equation from enough input", quickly adding "a crystal monitor with a light emitting projector can display your calculations".

Her squint snapped to an open stare "how 'small' can you make it?" she finally asked.
"Maybe small enough for you to hold in your hand", adding "though you have to use magic to add input", sadly saying "I tried to make a keyboard but they snap when I hit the keys and it makes the whole thing much more complicated than just using message spells"
Sighing in frustration "you use message spells to input equations to your in game computer", looking very sad.
"Don't worry", trying to cheer her up, "they are very simple messages", showing her the half-finished machine from his inventory, "I made it compile simple commands so you don't have to actually understand all the math problems"
Walking back and forth probably meant she didn't know what compile and computations meant so he tried to explain "compile is when you give the computer a group of orders and it uses its internal mechanism to come up with an answer for your input question".
Activating the newest computer its monitor lit up, "look I send a question '11*11' and it shows me the answer", showing her the '121' displayed on the clear crystal.
"Finish it", ordering him again, "what do you need to finish this computer?" pointing at the half built machine.
"It needs a better box" his answer seemed to upset her, "and a better power source", looking at in and searching for the power source he mentioned, maybe she did know about computers.
"What is powering it now?" finally the question came.
"Light hitting the crystal is trapped in an oscillator that powers the processing mechanism", trying to explain his improvement on the original schematics failed, he was using the crystals' properties to replace the other materials and it seemed to upset her.
Finally falling for the infallible defense "it works".
"Ofcourse it works", voicing her bitterness, "you made it so it works"
"You could make one if you wanted to", trying to cheer her up again.
"Ofcourse I could", she just repeated his words and he knew she was reading something on her interface.
"Can you make it emit sounds when I shift the lights?" handing him the finished box.
"I could" tentatively, "but what sounds should each color make?"
Thinking about it she finally came up with a scheme and dictated the sounds for each color, taking the box back she started to build a soft melody that permeated through the whole area, "can you make a button to change between emission and sending a message spell to the user?"
Taking the box he opened the lid and after fidgeting around inside and using change object to make a new hole for the button he finally handed it back to her, "thank you" was all she said and walked away.
Seeing her running back as fast as she could made Allen think they were in danger and he quickly collected all his stuff and prepared to fight whatever she was drawing toward him.
After catching her breath "I need" another breath, "to ask you", holding her knees and panting "some questions", huffing and puffing while he searched for the danger.
"You have to answer slowly and as accurately as you can", adding after she stopped panting.
"What is the danger?" unable to see anything he decided to ask and appear daft than be surprised by whatever chased her.
"There is no danger", thinking for a second, "my sister wants to ask you some questions and I have to pass your answers to her", then added "so answer slowly".
Looking at her strangely, "you have a sister?" he finally asked.
"She asks", ignoring him, "if one computer can generate message spells and the other can take input from message spells is it possible to make one computer compile on the other?"
Not thinking about this option previously he had to concentrate for a few seconds, "it's possible" he said at last.
"what is the longest distance two computers can communicate with each other?" she asked reading from her interface.
He had to make some calculations before answering "sixty meters is the normal version of the spell", then added "but it can be extended with using higher grade crystals and a lot more mana", then calculated again "maybe three kilometers with the best available crystal and burning through the oscillator to get some more power".
Her jaw dropped at his answer but she kept reading a long message on her display, "It's too long", she finally said, "she is listing materials and components and asks what it would cost to make a computer that can fit in her hand and can compile with message spells on another computer that is five hundred meters away from it", reading on and shaking her head and finally stating, "Hatula is coming here", Kyatha looked at Allen from his head to the tip of his tail, "you must behave", catching his eyes with her gaze "and no talking about how you read books".
