Sparks washed over the Peasant from Allen's breath and annoyingly did absolutely nothing, from the moment he saw his own image he knew it was hopeless, at least when he was gone his real self would still be alive and get the Dragon Slayer title which was nice, but he didn't want to vanish without a fight and gave it his best.
A perfect riposte followed by a stab and slash move made him pull back to his hind legs and use a gust of wind attack with his wings, the Lover's Locket flared again and diffused most of the attack leaving the Peasant in a perfect position to lunge and shade his next attack with the tRusty Sword, not the greatest legacy weapon but definitely the most resilient which made it perfect considering his infinite strength and agility.
Flapping his wings to lift off the ground just before the blade smashed into him and taking another approarch he glided over the Peasant's head to attack the other players, another shower of sparks that did nothing at all had him reeling in the air before he got hit from their spells and arrows, flying was a thrill he really hoped he could experience before dying and being forced to live as a reincarnated spirit in a game.
Air blasted him towards the ceiling and he had to struggle to regain control, scraping something sharp with his right wing the game immediately debilitated his flight, he hobbled midair for a second before deciding what to do, his Kobold minions were bashing the stupid Human Players and beating them up with ease, the real threat in the cave was just the peasant, Allen's pride and joy for over a decade of hard work could probably outlast and out blast everyone involved in this whole skirmish and he needed to neutrelise it.
Being a Dragon and Vampire had some benefits but right now Allen was scanning his other class and race abilities, not wanting to actually kill himself required some fine tuning of his Whight ability to transcend the game reality phase, at the same time he didn't want to die by a single hit so he breathed his sparks and dashed through them, the locket flared to repel the magic and he crashed into himself, at the last second something seemed strange, like the other Allen acted too fast and too slow at the same time, it was the perfect response to the wrong move and the awkwardness of it made him think about glitched automated characters, but it was all too late, he had to either play out his plan or die with no answers and out of these options the plan had the greater rewards.
Stolen novel; please report.
Colliding with the Peasant was like hitting the wall of a mountain, his breath would do nothing but he remembered a plan from another time and place, a happy memory of a different medium, he took flight before he was grabbed and again had the same feeling of distortion, wishing he learned the Human language so they could talk wouldn't help him now, whipping his tail across the Peasant's face and then wrapping it around his arm was sure to get only one response but instead the Peasant equipped a knife and tried to slash at him, he let go and knew for certainty this wasn't Allen even before landing, the thing living in his body charged, Allen lifted from the ground, knowing he wasn't fast enough but just needing another pass to activate his ability,
Dashing aside when the Peasant was almost on him he left behind a Ghostly Image, then whirled around and slammed his body at the monster to push it into the trap before it dissipated, the Peasant crashed through the Image trailing luminescent ribbons that seemed to cling to his body and enshroud him, in a few more seconds his whole body was glowing and Allen activated the final stage of his plan, the Peasant blinked in and out of existence before it became its own ghostly image, the effect will only last for a few minutes but that was all he and his minions needed to route all the other Players, he turned towards the remaining foes and saw a flash of light before everything became distorted like a hall of mirrors.
