"Where are all the computers", Allen aske Shoul, "in the books there are computers everywhere", looking around the cave, "but I havent seen one in real life"
Shoul sighed which meant it was another question he didn't want to answer, "your memory loss is very frustrating", finally said in his cryptic words, "we should find a way to wake up more than just a few skills at random", sighing again, "definitely more than I bargained for", which Allen took for just another Shoul phrase, "dragons dont need computers" he answerd at last, "humans can't count so in human lands they use computers", there was a lie in there that Allen couldn't quite catch but it was enough for now, after all he could easily do all the calculations from the books just by thinking about them, so what did he need a computer for?
Codes were a new game, breaking them required some crafty calculations and sometimes actual knowlege about the base it was derived from, he liked coding different things into rhymes and numbers so he started toying with the minions and leaving them clues about when the next ceremony should happen, they really liked his blesses so he used that for a prize to winners in his challenges.
"You need a hobby" Shoul said with his crooked smile, "the minions are getting very upset from your pranks", Allen knew that bark indicated mirth and it was funny to see the minions scramble in search of their floating crystal when in he just cast an illusion to hide it.
Changing the subject Allen asked "why are pirates taking over shore towns?" It was something he heard a few days ago but couldn't find the right moment to ask until now.
"They probably want to steal some treasures", Shoul said absentmindedly and immediately fell silent at Allen's indignant stare.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Steal my treasures?" Raising his voice at Shoul was wrong but Allen couldn't help it, he turned and stormed out of the temple without hearing Shoul's curses.
"HOW DARE THEY STEAL MY TREASURES?" He shouted at BoneSmith when he gotgot halfway to the exit, "WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?" His roar pushed the minion against the wall and he heard her groan in pain before remembering not to shout in the temple, "where are they?" He asked while washing BoneSmith with healing energies from head to toe.
"I can give you a guide", catching her breath, "if you promise to do as she sais when you get there"
Thinking about it for a second "fine" he agreed, "i will take your guide with me", looking at him like Shoul did when he was naughty, "and promise to do what she sais", quickly adding "when we fight pirates", not wanting to be bound by an open promise to whoever the guide was.
"Follow me" BoneSmith turned and walked fast to an unfamiliar house outside the temple, Humans were running away screaming whenever they saw him and minions bowed as was proper.
"Kyatha come out", BoneSmith shouted at the building and a familiar figure exited from the main door, it was the colored woman he met on his hatching day and she looked lovely as ever when she crunched her face at BoneSmith.
"What now BoneSmith?" She sounded unhappy to see him, "we have a war to fight".
"I came to uphold our bargain", BoneSmith used her 'official' voice, "Allen will let you ride him to the front lines and do what you tell him when you fight the pirates", then repeated "when you fight pirates", like the woman was daft.
Smiling like her face was about to split in half the woman looked at Allen from head to tail and ran back into the building.
Coming out after that was a gaggle of humans that asked all kinds of wierd questions and took his measures with strange tools before fitting a palanquin to his back saying it was to protect the woman 'Kyatha' from the dangerous flight and he accepted the neseccity of protecting his guide, soon she came out wearing an outrageously colorful armor Allen also remembered from his hatching day and flew into the palanquin shouting "up"
Not wanting to start their journey on the wrong wind Allen followed her instructions and they soon flew over a blurring landscape.
