Speechless was a new sensation for Devo, that the stupid girl had betrayed him to the monsters was infuriating enough, but having all his stuff stolen by such a simple trick had him tittering with rage, without even words to describe that feeling he fell to the old habit of planning his revenge on all of them.

How he would love tearing the flesh out of these monster Players, and they were Players for sure, all doubts were wiped out when they started talking like humans, with his new hack he was going to teach these bastards what fear and pain really fealt like, he will cut and bruise and maim them and let the girl watch how her new friends could not protect her from his wrath.

Remembering how she was tied to the bed and begging to fulfill his every desire had the calming effect he needed, looking at the group of monsters he started to see their patterns, who was the leader and who were friends with whom, this was obviously part of a much larger tribe, and in every large enough group there were elements of dissent for him to exploit, he could still use the girl for a distraction to start his plan going, he just needed to figure out what the plan was.

Looking at her chatting with the crazy black Kobold that beat and robbed him and how that creature was giving the girl his stuff put red spots in his vision but he had to control himself, this was not the right time yet, he needed to get his own Kobold, a guide of sorts to their secret society and since they were players he could put his class skills to their full effect no matter what shape they took.

"Can you tell me where we are going", Devo turned to a surly Blue tailed Kobold, "I promise to make no trouble for you", emphasizing the 'you' and enchanting the latter part of the sentence with a memory inducing skill he could see the Kobold's eyes glazing as it's last clash with trouble was played through the creature's mind.

"I can help you", Devo added, "you shouldn't be all alone in this", pushing the Player down memory lane had the whole creature tense, "we could be friends", using a soothing enchantment this time had the thing unclench its fingers around the halberd handle and Devo saw it relax a bit and looking at him confused.

"I'm sure that ToothPicker didn't get it's name by accident", lacing his enchantment with a jab of toothache had the expected result of the monster flinching in pain, "you can't be friends with someone like that can you?" the pain spiked with the word 'friends', "but I can be your best friend", he payed a lot for the soothing enchantment in the last two words and saw the creature getting the desired dazed look.

"What do you want from me?" it asked Devo, "ToothPicker and BoneSmith are in charge of our team", sounding hurt when spitting the first name.

"Just want to be friends", Devo cut off on the enchantments as his words took their full power on the foolish creature, "surely that's allowed as ToothPicker is friends with my partner over there", pointing at the girl that walked beside the black and green Kobold.

"She shouldn't do that", the green tailed Kobold sounded angry, "the Conclave don't allow us to be friends with outsiders"

Warmth washed over Devo at these words, "then won't ToothPicker get your whole group in trouble if you don't stop her?" he asked innocently, "shouldn't you stop them?" he added a suggestion enchantment to the last two words, making it almost a command, the Kobold charged forward and knocked the black thief with its halberd just as they entered a room filled with the blue glow of active Portals.

Another Kobold entered the fight and beat the green tailed creature aside, with a series of grunts and growls Devo's new friend was stripped of its weapon and armor and sent to stand beside the human prisoners.

The portal room was guarded by more than a dozen of the detestable creature, which suited Devo just fine as it further confirmed his thoughts about the size of their organization, this was going to be easy, soon he will have his own cult of the freaks to fulfill his every command and the human girl will learn what it meant to cross him.
