When he limped to the dining hall some people were clapping while others were cheering, he ignored the hands given him to shake and just walked past the other prisoners, his only attention to the commands telling him to take food, sit, eat, remove platter, walk away.
Prompts from the other people recieved no response, for some reason his arm wouldn't obey commands but someone helped him finish the task at hand, he thanked the man and walked out from the dining hall followed by the silent stares of the people left behind.
Allen logged in to the exercise program and followed the prompts to the letter, the haptic suit and cranial implant working together to fix his crippled hand and leg and made him do special drills taken from their medical files, he was also issued an appointment with a doctor for tomorrow morning.
He switched to his recreational charecter and recieved prompts he ignored in the past.
[System: Congratulations player, it appears you have acummulated enough gold to purchase a plot of land, would you like to do so now? Y/N]
"Yes" he answered to the prompt as the overide working his cranial implant directed him, the system then guided him through the purchase process which used his character level and money to purchase the maximum size plot available to him.
[System: This is the first time you purchased a possible spawn point, would you like to move your spawn to this location? Y/N]
As soon as he selected Yes the system moved him to his new land with another set of short questions, his land was a group of low hills set near a beach with a river delta marking its border.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
[System: To begin your farm please dig a well]
The cranial implant took this as a prompt and Allen started digging into the ground
[System: You could use better tools for the task at hand]
a group of popup commercials appeard and Allen bought everything offered, from magical spades to simple leather stockings, when the series of popups stopped he started recieving private messages from players that sold him the items, being worded as questions and not prompts he ignored them and the system deleted his incompletepurchase orders.
A simple sturdy spade appeared in his inventory and the system asked if he would like to equip it, after doing so the digging went much faster.
[System: Attention player you are digging too deep and may cause a flood, would you like to proceed anyway? Y/N]
Choosing yes several times had caused the well to gush out and flood his field.
[System: Your field is ruined, would you like to turn it to a fish farm instead? Y/N]
Picking the same answer as allways Allen then shose to grow golden gilled gliding gupies, which were the first and most costly choice.
[System: Your chosen fish require a special ecosystem that includes algae and water snails would you like to add them to your farm? Y/N]
The algae he bought was a large leafed brown green variety that the snails preferred
[System: Now that your farm can produce base ingrediants would you like to build a house? Y/N]
Following questions and suggestions from the system Allen built a two story house and an adjacent warehouse and started buying and placing various items in the different rooms, the system designed house would have driven any normal human insane, with corridors leading nowhere, splendid rooms filled with treasure and traps, the kitchen was filled with self activating appliances that no player bothered to buy.
With over thirty NPCs placed around the house with no apparent guide or reason, guards, staff, creatures and living furnitures all prompted by a system that never met a Player that didnt refuse her.
A lonely ship was sitting idle on calm dark waters waiting for a captain that she had lost.
