317 Act Pout

Alaska woke up with a log splitting headache, music screamed from somewhere in the apartment and pounded her conciousness to tiny mangled bits of thoughts, stumbling between the cubicles she finally found its source and pulled its power supply off the wall, the silence beat behind her eyes when she heard someone cry "thank you" from one of the cubes.

With one hand on the wall she pushed herself to the communal baths hoping to find an empty booth while she fixed her shirt to her shoulder and finally opened the door, stepping between the bodies strewn across the floor to reach the bathroom she hovered above the filth and did what needed doing without closing the door because someone's leg was thrown inside.

Going over the the showers she let the water wash the filth from last night from her body, pulling a disposable robe from the dispenser she let the lazers dry and disinfect her before she pulled it on, then it hit her like a truck "the captain", her mind cleared from the shock "shit", she hurried back, stepping on some of the people in the hallway before falling in her cube where another surprise was waiting "shit", she said again when she saw the woman sitting on her bed.

"Yes Alaska" Domane said "shit sums it up", glaring at her through squinted eyes, "how long?" she asked.

"How long what?" Alaska asked, not sure what Domane wanted.

"Since when are you cheating on me?" the glare turned to a pout as tears filled Domane's eyes, "how long have you been making a fool of me?" She bowled over crying.

"I never cheated on you" Alaska was hurt from the accusation.

"Really?" Domane cried "I never meant nothing to you" almost screaming "playing with me all this time".

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Alaska stepped forward "That's not what I meant", reaching with her hand "I love you Dome", tears filled her eyes at her girlfriend suffering because of her, "you are my world", touching Domane's head.

"Don't lie to me", Domane cried and pushed Alaska's hand, "everyone is talking about you and some pirate king", she looked up with puffy eyes and fluttering lips "they threw a party for your honors".

Alaska tried to touch Domane again "it's just a big misunderstanding", grabbing the other woman's hand when she tried to push her again, "I just met the guy for less than ten minutes" remembering how he pulled a napking from thin air she reached her other hand to the pack on the bedstool and gave it to Domane, "he needed a Player to make a call for him"

"You changed your respawn point" Domane accused, "and Candle said you moved it to his bedroom", the words leading to another burst of tears.

"Candle could be more discreet", Alaska mumbled, "I wasn't hiding it from you", she hurried to say, "there just wasn't any time", she rushed through the words "I just did what he asked and set the respawn to the bed then took his message and called the number bought an outfit so I would make a good impression delivered the message and looged off to be rushed into the party" she breathed deep, "then I woke up and here we are", she sighed.

Domane dried her eyes, "you used our money", anger laced her voice "I was worried something happened to you", her volume rising "we can't afford a double cube now", shouting "we can't even afford a virtual apartment now" she screamed.

Alaska stepped back at the display of anger "I'll get the money", she said quietly.

"From your new boyfriend?" Domane screamed "you SLUT", she pushed Alaska and ran out of the cube stepping on cursing party goers still lying on the floor.

Alaska tried to follow but some of the partiers woke up and blocked her way when Bella pulled her into another cube slurring "congratulations", at the distraught woman, when alaska finally got out of the cluster and into the hallway Domane was nowhere to be seen, Alaska called her through the cranial implant but her calls were all cut short, broken hearted and hurt Alaska walked back to her cube and logged into the virtual world, waking up on the sofa with the captain nowhere in sight.
