Lilith Pov
I'm really happy with all the heart this girl has put into my dungeon. Every day she wakes up and fights with the monsters I send her way. For the first week I never gave her more than thirty voles, and some times a giant rat to keep her on her toes.
After the second week of only voles and giant rats I sent an owl or two to give her a taste of aerial combat, gotta teach her to always remember to look up too. After a month in my dungeon she looks like a different person.
Her silver hair and ears are glossy and healthy. Her face is delicate and her green eyes sparkle when she fights. Her figure has exploded from the food and constant fighting against monsters. She looks like a model. She's really put in a lot of effort to improve herself. I feel an odd sense of pride.
I on the other hand, haven't done much of anything. I've spent most of my time watching the fox girl, I haven't even expanded my eighth floor yet. It's still just an empty space. So now that she is sleeping I'm going to expand the eighth floor just a bit bigger than the seventh floor.
Seven and a half miles in length and width. That should be more than enough space for my desert. I pull up my notifications so I can choose the desert ecosystem and get this show on the road.
[Congratulations on choosing your eighth ecosystem. This ecosystem is incompatible with your current location, to make up for the shortcoming of monsters please choose one of the two groups below. Hint. If you spend dungeon points you may buy monsters you did not chose now at any time in the future.]
[Choice one. Sand cat, Gila monster, Fennex fox, Camel, Arabian Oryx, Desert tortoise, Mountain lion, Jerboa, Black tail jack rabbit, Big horn sheep, Armadillo lizard, Birds, Insects and Snakes. All choices have some form of mana.]
[Choice two. Coyote, Kangaroo rat, Desert horned lizard, Addax, Meercat, Thorny devil, Bobcat, Desert spiny lizard, Mule deer, Desert hedgehog, Dromedary camel, Birds, Insects, Snakes. All choices have some form of mana.]
Ah. Yes. I missed this. Having to pick and choose monsters from other floors takes too long. It was pretty enjoyable to watch sand fall from the sky, when I chose the desert option. As soon as it settled the wind blew and kicked up a sand storm.
This is going to be so much fun. First things first I want to get started on my altar. I thank my patron Goddess I don't have to breathe air. My nose would be so full of sand right now. This inspires me to do something different. I'm going to make a building to enclose my altar and what could be better in the desert than a pyramid.
I hate to admit this but... I did wood workshop in high school and really butchered the dimensions of the pyramid. I'm going to let the system handle this one.
[The system registers the desire of the dungeon core for a fully constructed pyramid. It will cost you one thousand dungeon points and contain an open room for your altar and a bonus room with a Pharoh boss. Do you accept?]
Well duh! That was more than I was ever going to be able to make myself and it's only one thousand dp, that isn't bad at all. Does this mean I should have been making dungeon core rooms this whole time?! I would get a protector by making myself a dungeon core room?
Hmmm.. So many things to consider for the future. It only took the system a moment to pop my pyramid into existence and it landed exactly where I would have made my altar. This is so cool. Now you will have to fight if you want to go down to the next floor. Muahaha. Cough cough.

It's been a while since I felt evil like that.. I choose option one and then before I can even explore my pyramid I realize my cute visitor is up and ready to go. It's only a little frustrating that it takes me so long to get stuff done because I get so distracted. I do enjoy having company after so much time alone.
I really don't like working on the night shift but I need to stay ahead of my cute delver. But now that she's awake let's try something new. I'm going to send some foxes to her after her usual rounds of giant snow rats.
It's pointless to keep sending voles anymore. She can swing that scepter like a baseball bat all day now. She put in a lot of work to get to this point though. I don't know why she works so hard but she makes me want to work harder too. I hope we get to talk one day.
She has started to eat the fruits and vegetables that I gave her. It was pretty interesting to watch her face change as she tried new foods. I would not be giving her any more loot drops from the fourth floor when she finished her goodies.
I came to the decision that I would stimulate the oak, birch and pine trees to have nuts and fruits. It would looked odd in the middle of winter but she wouldn't have to survive on meats alone. I like to think she wouldn't hate me for it. They don't look as tasty as the stuff from my forest though.
The first two foxes I summoned tried to sneak up on her but she caught on to them at the last second and sent them both flying with a blow from her scepter. They didn't die after a single hit but they might have well have. They couldn't get back up to keep fighting.
Ah. My poor foxes but I grit my teeth and keep summoning foxes to attack her. After thirty giant rats and twenty foxes she was having trouble keeping up so I stopped sending monsters at her. She started collecting nuts and fruits off the trees before going back to the cabin.
She followed the same nightly routine that she did on the second night and went to sleep. It's time to summon some insects for my eighth floor! I'm so excited.
When I focus back on the eighth floor i'm pretty shocked to find a green spot that has grown in the lowest area of the desert. I didn't even realize an oasis had been formed when I chose this ecosystem.
That's great. When I look closer I find that there's a lot more vegetation in the desert than I thought. The date palm trees take up most of the outside areas of the oasis, making shade for the rest of the greenery. There's also apricot trees, fig trees, pomegranate trees, olive trees and peach trees. There were even grains like sorghum, barley, millet, wheat and corn.
There's just a small visible water pond but I don't think it's necessary to make it bigger. It should always have that much water. There's also normal trees scattered around the desert like ironwood trees, desert willow trees, Palo Brea trees, Joshua trees and Acadia trees. With so many different trees I honestly didn't want know how many different types of cacti there are. So I asked the system.
There's a total of fifty two different types of cacti. Holy crap. That's a lot really. It seems for violent plants they actually have stunning flowers. There's even one cactus that is violet. I make it a point to grow lots of those. I do love purple. There's another one that is called the Cottontop cactus and it's kind of pink. Ah. The desert is amazing.
I pull up my list of insects and spiders and almost have a heart attack. There's so many poisonous critters on this list. I for see a lot of suffering on this floor. There is the Blister beetle, Tarantula hawk, Preying mantis, Stink beetle, Bark scorpion, Sun spider, Cobalt blue tarantula, Black widow, Cicada, Giant hairy scorpion, Giant crab spider, Dragonfly, Desert bee, Harvester ant, Velvet ant and Fire ant. I decide to start with the ants this time.
I summon five of each ant queen and make sure there's at least two miles between each type and let them loose. I am kind of excited to see if the ants will fight this time around. Probably right? They aren't all of the same type.
I summon five Desert queen bees with their aphids and they migrate toward the date palms trees. That has to be some interesting honey. I wish I could try it! It really sucks not having taste buds. Then I summon seventy five blister beetles, seventy five stink beetles and seventy five dragonflies.
That seems like a good start. Phew. After not working for so long this is taking a lot out of me. I think the cute fox girl should be waking up soon. I'm gonna go get ready for her training day. Today she learns how to have fun. It's not healthy to spend all your time working and not having any fun.
