[Congratulations! You have accepted the patron Goddess Niamh as your sponsor. She is the Goddess of balance. If you do wrong you must be judged, if you do good you must be rewarded.]
[Congratulations. Your patron has upgraded your system. You may now create your own ecosystem or mix two conflicting ecosystems. You no longer have to use all the ecosystems before you can reuse them. You may also create your own monster and the Goddess Niamh will fix any defects in their creation. Create wisely.]
[Congratulations! Your patron Goddess Niamh loves your idea for a soul enhancement enchantment gem and has fixed your mistakes. Please grace your promising delvers with one for each floor they conquer. You may only consume one per floor. Warning may cause some pain.]
[Congratulations on making a deal with the system. It's rare people consider the system something more and communicate with it. You have gained a title. Open-minded people gain the most.]
Ok what just happened?! That's so much information. I didn't expect any of that. I'm not even sure what part I'm the most excited about. It's great that my idea has finally come into existence and I'm excited to see what happens after I consume my five gems.
The title is the most surprising to me I think. It actually lets me gain more dp per each person that enters my dungeon depending on how much they explore my dungeon rather than just kill and move on.
They don't even have to die. They just need to spend time in my dungeon and I'll be rolling in the dp. Come one come all, explore the dungeon zoo. The monsters won't attack you if you don't attack them. Well most won't at least.
Time to get my priorities straight. I need to add some trees to my first floor and buy the snowy owl so I have eyes in the sky. On my first floor I summon ten oak trees and ten birch trees and ten pine trees because I know they can handle the cold well.
The snowy owl costs me fifty dp to buy but it was worth it. I summoned fifteen pairs of them and let them get settled. The wolves all had wind and sand mana by now and my foxes all had a mix of wind and Ice mana and were deadly little monsters.
I decided to put some giant rats on the first floor too, I made them a den under the snow just like the wolves had done in the past. Ten pairs should be enough to get them started.
I also came to the decision to add some larger trees to my second floor. The larger birds of prey deserved it, plus it would be nice to have a few trees to scavenge from in the future. My first floor didn't come with much to start with. I summoned twenty elm and red cedar trees and then I looked over the long forgotten list of monsters I never bought.
The lion, hyena, prairie dogs and emu all sound like great choices. The lion cost one hundred and fifty dp to purchase but I'm not worried about the dp anymore. I have a sugar mama. Muahaha. Lions drop beautiful throwing knifes and tender cuts of meat and I also include a backbag in the loot because it's cute.
I want to add a space enchantment to my bags but I can't afford the two thousand dp for the spatial affinity just yet. Hopefully after I get my first delvers. I summon one male lion and five females. The hyenas cost one hundred and fifty dp and I'm pretty sure they look bigger than I remember. They are the size of the freaking lion.

So I only summon five, three males and two females. They drop some gnarly looking claw daggers and meat. And finally the prairie dogs cost me seventy five dp and I summon eight pairs and send them off to get acquainted with the ferrets. They drop a whistle? Apparently it calls out ferrets to help you. Weird. But sounds surprisingly useful. Those little monsters are vicious. That's definitely one of my coolest drops so far. The emu cost me one hundred and fifty dp but I like them so it's fine.
The emus look like they would make for a good mount but they are a little aggressive so we'll see. I make it so they drop an egg as their loot.
Ok now on to my third floor. I know I just summoned the crocodiles not that long ago but I still want to go over the other list of choices to see if there's anything amazing that would make my floor even better.
I'm a little surprised that a lot of my fourth floor monsters can live on the third so I won't have to spend the dp to get access to them. I summoned six pairs of bobcats, eight pairs of raccoons, ten pairs of red-backed salamanders, ten pairs of white tailed deer and a pair of black bears.
I move on to my fourth floor full of confidence that I'm on the right track. On my fourth floor I want to add some more herd animals and I had always heard elk were pretty aggressive. The elk costs me two hundred dp and I go ahead and summon ten pairs because I'm getting low on mana and I still want to make a soul enhancement enchantment gem and see if I can feel a difference.
Now that it's a system provided enchantment all I have to do is supply the gems and the mana and the system does the rest. I pay close attention to the process as the system does it but I couldn't tell what I was missing. But it doesn't really bother me now that it's not just a theory.
After making a single gem I'm completely exhausted of mana but I'm still really giddy to try it out. But I still wait for some of my mana to refill before I use it. It doesn't take long before I'm prepared to absorb this gem I've spent so much time and effort to make. I don't hesitate to disintegrate the cage around me so I can bring the glowing gem closer to my core. I want to say it feels like a throbbing heart but I'm not sure. That could have been my heartbeat in my ears.
I feel like my palms are sweating and my legs are wobbling but since I don't have those body parts anymore I can't really tell what I feel. I take a deep breath and touch the gem to my core and the pain was instantaneous. I felt like I was going to crack into tiny pieces. It was worse than when I was stabbed and had to drag myself across the road.
Thankfully the pain didn't last long but I actually felt everything starting to go black around the edges. I wasn't going to fight it. A little nap sounds wonderful actually.
I'm not sure how long I was unconscious but I felt like I had the weirdest dream. It felt like someone was hugging me tightly and crying. I wanted to comfort them but everything was too foggy and I couldn't focus. I couldn't recall anyone holding me when I died.
Then I woke up and felt confused and sad but I wasn't sure why. I don't remember my dream at all. I needed to get back to work on my fifth floor so I pushed my feelings to the back of my mind and check over my mining tunnels. My goblins have taken over the mine. They don't know how to hold back their rate of reproduction so it won't be long before they cover it completely.
I'm pretty sure the floor size will actually limit it for them so I'm not too worried but we'll see. I need to make sure I can start my sixth floor soon so they have plenty of room to grow. I summon ten more giant rats and then I summon four female lions and a male and send them into the mines. I'm hoping for some shadow lions but I won't be picky. So far everything on this floor just eats ores and gems. If I wasn't a dungeon that would be incredibly expensive.
The spiders are worth it though. I wonder what else I could add to this floor. As I sit and think about everything I've gone through these last couple of days I start to wish I could just fall asleep sometimes. Life as a dungeon core is hard. There's always something to do.
Now it's time to figure out what I want my safe zones to be like. There's so many options to choose from. I take a moment to go over all of them. A canvas dome or teepee? Sounds really cold actually. I'll keep thinking. An igloo sounds like so much fun actually.
