Chapter seventeen

Chapter seventeen

I summon and scatter algae all around the entire floor, it spreads by itself. The monsters on this floor should like it. I summon fourty pairs of giant cockroaches and let scatter around the floor.

Those things are huge man. I would hate to find one of these ugly things back on Earth. It was the size of a rat. They drop chitin. Gross. I'm guessing it can be used to make armor. Then I summoned thirty water slimes and let them do their own thing. They drop clean water. That's nice.

None of the water in the mine/sewer area is drinkable. I also summon twenty to the fifth floor. Then I summoned fifty pairs of alligator lizards. They drop short spine swords and meat. Very cool. I had gotten ahead of myself again and I needed to focus. I need to get my altar made so I can grow again.

I made my altar the same as my last floor so it doesn't take long to get done. It doesn't take long to get myself down to my sixth floor and situated on my alter. Then I summon one hundred and fifty of my myconids and scatter them around in groups of three and fives again. I'm considering what other monsters I can summon from my other floors.

Before I could forget I made sure to summon ten water slimes to all of my floors. It's never a bad idea to have access to clean water. They are self reproducing, they dissolve everything they can and then split in two. It's cool to watch actually.

I'm excited to get another delver, not just because they give me a shit ton of dp but because I get to learn about the outside world from their memories. Not that they do me any good. Apparently these guys were summoned from a different planet all together and they didn't even know. Sigh.

So much for currency. I'm going to keep it though. They can just treat it as lost kingdom money or something. I'm sure it will have value.

It's time to look over my first ever flower monster? I'm not sure what to call it. It uses illusion to keep it's self safe. When eaten once it gives you a skill to see through minor illusions. The more flowers you eat, the higher the skill will be. But it's not a lie to call them masters of illusions.

They are incredibly hard to find. They are simply beautiful. Light blue like little shining stars. I have the urge to plant them on the ceiling of the fifth and sixth floor. Who looks up in a mine? You can't dig in that direction easily. I spend most of my mana cover the ceilings of both floors.

I think I might have over done it. You might not be able to see the flowers but you can still smell them.. Even over the sulfur smell. Bah. I hardly get visitors why should I even care? I bet if an intruder made it down here I could have them stuck on these two floors wandering for years if they lived that long.

The illusions of dead ends and only one direction to continue on in sounds diabolical. Muahaha cough cough. I need to stop laughing like a villain when I get excited.

I'm so thankful it doesn't take long for my mana to refill these days. I'm starting to wonder how fast I can make dungeon floors to increase my strength. I feel like if I could get fifty more soul gems I could figure out what's been at the back of my mind since the first time I used a soul gem.

The sorrow is a constant feeling to my core. I just don't know why. Something is there though, I can feel it. So I'm anxious to complete more floors but I don't want to rush and disappoint my sugar mama with my antics.

I plan to fill up the sixth floor. It's so massive I finally feel like you could spend a full two weeks in my dungeon without including any time to mine any ores.

I summon thirty giant leeches and just try not to look directly at them. They are disgusting. They are about the same size as the giant cockroaches. But I'm sure they can and will get bigger. I hope the goblins and kobolds cull them but I won't do it myself. They drop blood bags. Ew. Apparently beast blood is good for other beasts to drink? It strengthens them. Gross.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

I also summon sixty pairs of giant slugs. Oddly enough they drop a mucus sac. I'm guessing that's for alchemy or construction. I'm not sure if it's sticky or it dissolves stuff. Either way it will be useful.

I wonder if the goblins and kobolds will figure it out. I guess only time will tell. I want to summon one of the foxes to the sixth floor but I don't think any of the ones I have currently fit my plans so I'll wait rather then end up with some kind of acidic sludge fox. Bleh. That sounds awful. I wouldn't want a toxic fox.

Maybe I should summon some frogs. Toxic frogs sounds great. I summon thirty of the tree frogs and drop them right into the acidic water I have created in this ecosystem. Although the current frogs just drop frog legs maybe they will drop an acid sac after they adapt.

The rate at which I make my floors has definitely gotten faster since my core has gotten bigger, not just because my mana refills faster but because it doesn't take me the same amount of time to process stuff anymore.

Like when I first started making enchanted jewelry, technically shouldn't have been able to do any of that at all at my level but my partial memories had given me a boost and it helped me figure out that I had to find the right mixture between the silver and gold so it could hold the enchantment.

I feel like I can do anything and that's only at eleven floors in growth to my core. What does a one hundred floor deep dungeon core think or feel? Is it more like an AI or are they also different souls from other worlds. It's a lot to consider and process but I feel it could be possible.

I mean there are Gods in this universe. Proven Gods. Not just myths.

Although I've never been one to pick sides apparently I've drawn a very clear line in the sand in this life. I work for the fucking Goddess of balance. She said she's not picky but I bet you if I did something stupid she would kill me too.

What I do well, is go with the flow though so I'm hopeful I can handle what ever she throws my way. After she so nicely gifted me with my spatial affinity, the use for the colorful stones became clear.

They are the base for the spatial ring and bags. There are five different colorful stones. Red is the most powerful and has the largest storage capacity and the capability of storing living creatures followed by blue which holds only small animals, green, yellow and black are the smallest and can not store any living creatures.

I go ahead and make sure all the backbags I've made so far include a black stone with a spatial enchantment so they can hold three times the amount they used to be able to. It's not much but I'm sure someone will appreciate it.

I finally have enough mana saved up to start summoning some more monsters for my sixth floor. I summon twenty gars and let them loose in the acidic water, excited to see how they change with it.

Then I summon thirty pairs of the sewer crabs and see they look just like normal crabs except for the bright blue color but I'm sure that will change after a while in the new environment. The water is orange and acidic after all. I wonder if they are still edible? According to my loot drops they are.

They are high in iron. I chuckled at the joke. I hope they don't taste awful. I summon twenty pairs of giant bats and they find a home in my illusion flowers. That could be an interesting change. Giant illision bats? I like the sound of that.

I enjoy being able to summon water monsters and land monsters for this floor. I summon eight pairs of minks, thirty knockers, twenty metal slimes and then I summon thirty giant water monitors and now all I have left is to summon the kobolds. I don't know what else to add to this floor.

It's time to go over my floors and see how my monsters are developing. My giant rats have taken well to the first floor. I don't feel the need to worry about them. The lions are doing great on the second floor.

I knew I wouldn't have to worry about them they have always been capable animals. The hyenas are trouble makers and constantly mess with the honey badgers so the floor is pretty lively. The prairie dogs have expanded the tunnels I had created and now they span across the entire floor. It's pretty amazing.

The third floor is wonderful. It's so full of vitality. The bears have cleared an area and claimed it as there own. It's closer to the shallow area so they some times cross path with the crocs but so far it's been a stalemate.

The bears are quick enough to get away before the croc can catch them with their water razor attack and they have earth magic to help block it. I almost feel pity for them but the floor is big enough I'm sure it will work out eventually.
