Mrs. Gaud slammed her hands down on Saneko's desk, staring daggers into her. Saneko looked up at her and the two made eye contact. Mrs. Gaud looked disturbed at the moment.
"Why the hell are you all over the news?"
Saneko immediately knew what she was talking about. She was technically a world leader now, so of course she would finally get the recognition she always believed she deserved. She looked away condescendingly.
"It is about time you realized my greatness. I would appreciate an apology for your previous insolence."
Mrs. Gaud took her hands off of Saneko's desk and walked behind her, pulling her seat back. Saneko jolted a bit as Mrs. Gaud pulled back her seat.
"Ok, you're going to prove it."
"Huh?"
"Prove it. Prove you are this almighty Demon Babe you so proudly proclaim to be. I'm getting people telling me about how you are a problem, and now you are supposedly a queen of a sovereign nation. It's ridiculous, so I want you to show me, and the entire class your supposed powers."
Saneko was dumbfounded. Her mouth was agape as she stared at the teacher. The teacher was acting like this would be a problem for Saneko, but this was what she had obviously wanted since the beginning.
"IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!"
Saneko cleared her throat and stood up, striking a dramatic pose. All of the students in the class were staring at her. They too had seen her on the news and didn't know what to make of it. Chloe, however, was not at school today.
"I will show all of you my true power and you will all be left in awe!"
Mark raised his hand and stood up, looking determined.
"I want to fight her. I want to see how strong she really is."
Saneko smirked as she looked over at mark. He was the student council president, so defeating him would definitely convince all of the students of just how powerful she truly was. She couldn't help but think about how her luck was seemingly changing for the better.
"THIS IS JUST TOO PERFECT!"
She clenched her fists in excitement, but she tried her best not to show it. She simply pointed at Mark and nodded.
"You will be my opponent then, and I will destroy you."
Mark narrowed his eyes and took a step forward.
"I try not to talk to you because you're just insane, but somehow you've gotten on the news and have garnered a lot of popularity. I want to end this right here and now."
Saneko loved this exchange. It looked like something right out of a power fantasy anime. Mrs. Gaud rolled her eyes, not believing she was about to allow this to take place.
"I usually don't condone fights, but this is an extremely rare circumstance. Saneko, I don't know how you claimed a country, but this nonsense is ending today. Go to the backyard of the school.
Saneko was far too lost in the moment to care about the rules set in place for her by her parents. If she was going to show off, she was going to do it properly and without hesitation. She then raised her hand up to the sky.
"No need for us to walk."
With a snap of her finger, all of the people in the class, including Mrs. Gaud, were transported to the backyard of the school. Since she teleported them out of the classroom, students who were sitting on chairs fell to the ground and started groaning in pain. Despite the pain of falling, they did notice that they had been teleported and took note of it. Mrs. Gaud looked at the sky, not believing what had just happened. No cultivator had ever been able to learn teleportation, so automatically, everyone started to take Saneko a little more seriously.
Saneko then pointed to Mark once again, looking him dead in the eyes.
"Go ahead, attack me. You won't get far."
Kal, Sana, and Allan all stood up. They knew Mark pretty well despite only knowing him for a short period of time. Due to them all being in the student council, they had gotten to know each other, so they automatically started rooting for him.
"GO MARK!"
"YOU GOT THIS!"
"YOU CAN BEAT HER EASILY!"
All of the other students looked around at each other before pumping their fists in the air and chanting mark's name as well. Saneko didn't take offense to the fact no one was rooting for her. It actually made her more excited so that she could defeat Mark and cause everyone to be left speechless.
Feeling encouraged by the chanting, Mark took and deep breath and started running up to Saneko. She thought that it was almost humorous how he automatically rushed in just like Kal did a while back. Saneko, just like she did with Kal, saw Mark's running in slow motion which gave her plenty of time to think.
Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
"Do they have any originality? They just do the exact same thing all of the time."
It was honestly boring how predictable this attack was. Saneko didn't even bother waiting for him to get closer. She simply reached her arm out and lowered it in a quick swiping motion. Mark felt a sudden gravitational pull around him, causing him to fall to the ground in an instant. The rest of the students who were shouting his name went silent as they saw what had happened. Mrs. Gaud was stunned and also silent.
Kal took a step forward, not knowing what to do.
"Mark? Are you okay?"
Saneko chuckled seeing Mark completely unable to move.
"Go on. Attack me. What's wrong, can't move?"
While Saneko was attempting to be cocky, the attack was a bit too subtle. Mrs. Gaud walked over to Mark, ignorant to the fact that this was Saneko's doing.
"He's in no condition to fight. He passed out!"
Her ignorance was infuriating. Saneko couldn't handle it anymore. She raised her arm again and swiped it down once more, this time more violently. Mrs. Gaud's eyes widened as she also fell to the ground due to the gravitational pull.
"IT IS ME WHO IS DOING THIS! HOW ARE ALL OF YOU SO IGNORANT?"
Sana believed that she had recognized this ability and stepped forward.
"She has wind magic just like me! Let me take her on!"
Sana did the same motion Saneko did. She summoned a large gust of wind that should have pushed Saneko's body to the ground, but she didn't budge one bit.
"Oh poor mortal. I do not use wind magic. Magic is for cultivators. I am too great to be labeled as that."
Saneko raised her arm for a third time.
"NOW EVERYONE BOW BEFORE THE GREAT DEMON BABE!"
With a quick swiping motion, all of the students fell to the ground. None of them could even move an inch, completely at Saneko's mercy. She smiled and she was enjoying this a little too much. Mrs. Gaud attempted to funnel all of the magic she had cultivated into her arms to lift herself up, but it was no use. Even when she attempted it, she couldn't even lift a finger.
"S...Saneko... H...ow are you d...doing this?"
"How many times do I have to tell you? My powers are beyond your comprehension."
Saneko couldn't believe this was actually her doing all of this. It seemed like a dream. She was finally the main character she had always wanted to be. She snickered to herself in her mind.
"Hehehe~ I shamelessly stole this ability from 'I Used Wind Magic And Became the Strongest'. I mean it's so amazing though, I don't think anyone can blame me."
It was quite easy to blame Saneko actually. This was all of her doing after all.
Realizing that all of the students were starting to lose consciousness, she lowered her hand completely, putting it in her pocket, and the gravitational pull ceased. Before anyone could stand up, Mark got to his feet and ran up to Saneko again, attempting to punch her directly in the face.
Saneko, seeing his hand approaching her face, created the white void around him without moving at all. Mark was frozen in place with his arm in the middle of a swing. He gasped and looked around to see the seemingly endless abyss of white.
"Where the hell am I?"
"This is my domain. Some would call it an expansion of sorts. I like to call this, Demon Babe World."
Saneko blamed Mark for being unoriginal, but she too lacked originality when naming things.
"In this world, time does not function linearly. Without linear time, you can't move.
Saneko walked around Mark's frozen body for a few seconds. He began sweating. He realized how dumb he was for not taking Saneko seriously, even though she had been on the news. He thought about the windstorm and realized that it was not just a coincidence, that was Saneko as well.
"WHAT EVEN ARE YOU?"
"Good question."
Saneko lightly touched the top of Mark's head and he began screaming bloody murder. Saneko inflicted him with a thousand years of torment. All of the pain humanity had felt over the past thousand years were funneled directly into his brain. It was only for a fraction of a second, but the pain was still great enough for him to go into shock.
"Yikes. Maybe that was too far."
Saneko felt a bit of regret. There was no one here to show off to, so there wasn't really a reason to go this far. The white void disappeared and the students saw Saneko and Mark return. Mark's body became unfrozen, and it collapsed to the floor. He was grunting in pain but it was barely audible.
Saneko looked over at the students. Just like she had wanted, they were all left speechless. They didn't know what to say. In fact, they couldn't say anything. Saneko's mind was about to explode from the overwhelming feeling of happiness she was experiences right now.
"YES! FINALLY!"
Mrs. Gaud stood up. She wiped off her clothes and turned around. She didn't say a word and simply walked back to the school. Saneko giggled and glanced over at her.
"Where are you going? Too afraid to face me?"
There was no reply. Mrs. Gaud simply continued walking off.
"I FELT ANOTHER ONE! ANOTHER DISTORTION SANEKO CREATED!"
Chloe's mental state was in shambles. Sweat drops fell from her forehead as she sat on her bed. She hadn't left her bedroom in days. She thought she would have got enough courage to go back to school, but Saneko's sudden appearance yesterday still had her shaken.
"Why? Why is she doing this stuff? Any moment now the world could be destroyed thanks to her. Any second. There's nothing I can do!"
Chloe's gem continued to crack. It was only a matter of time before it shattered. In a very short period of time, Saneko had accomplished a lot, but had also deteriorated Chloe's perfect girl persona. Usually this type of thing would take a lot of time, but Chloe was used to being the strongest. Seeing someone, not only stronger than her, but near infinitely stronger than her, caused her to practically go insane.
If that weren't enough, today was just about to hold another event that would be of great disturbance to Chloe, and everyone on Earth for that matter. In the middle of Cintianta, which was still under construction due to the last beast attack, a light shined down on Earth and a muscular angel-winged knight descended from the sky. It's wings were black and it wore a grey mask that covered its entire face. The mask had a red eyeball on it. It carried a large sword in its right hand.
The knight looked at the construction. It saw one of the remaining intact building. A glass skyscraper. It drew its sword and with a single slash, the shockwave alone was enough to slice the building clean in half. As the building fell, the knight stared at the destruction it was causing. Glass crumbled to the floor, causing deafening shattering sounds that echoed through the desolate streets. The winged knight spoke in a low and menacing tone.
"Where are you?"
Saneko opened the door to her house. Stepping inside, she kicked off her shoes like always. Her mom heard her and walked up to the door.
"Oh, you're home early."
"Mom you'll never believe it! I got to show off my powers and almost killed a guy!"
"Good for you!"
Mrs. Sarakana, while not really wanting Saneko to show off, realized that it couldn't be helped. She chose to believe that she meant well. This wasn't completely wrong. Saneko usually meant well, but her longing for being the coolest always undermined that trait of hers.
