Chapter 21

In a bedroom with the lights off in the middle of the day, Chloe was panicking. She was sitting up in her bed while grabbing her hair. She was breathing heavily and sweating profusely while whimpering slightly.

"She's a world leader now. In only a day she created a whole nation. Why does she want this attention so much? Is it so that she can take over the world."

Chloe's fear wasn't entirely unwarranted in this situation. Saneko would definitely love to take over the world. But only for the notoriety she would get as Demon Babe.

Chloe looked down to see that the gem around her wrist had started cracking even more. Upon noticing this, she buried her face in her hands and began sobbing. This was overwhelming to her, not just because of Saneko's power, but because Chloe had been suppressing her emotions for so long, they came out more intense than usual.

Meanwhile, Saneko was out on the sidewalk, showing a video on her phone to the boy that had became her disciple. He was watching the video intently. She was wearing her school uniform again, just to make sure she looked as cool as possible.

"That's really you? You're the queen of that country?"

"Indeed. Why is it surprising? You already know of my greatness."

"Of course I do! You're the coolest!"

Saneko radiated with happiness upon hearing the boy say this. His words repeated in her mind.

"I LOVE HAVING A FOLLOWER SO MUCH!"

If it were up to her, she would only surround herself with people who treated her like one of the main characters from the shows she loved so much. It didn't matter if it was an echo chamber, it was what she dreamed for.

"Dear disciple, do tell me, do you watch anime?"

"Oh yeah! I love the fight scenes. I love it when a main character does a training arc to get stronger."

"Hehehe, No no no. I should be more specific. Do you watch anime with overpowered protagonists?"

"Oh uh... I don't know what you mean?"

"You have so much to learn if you want to be a good disciple. I am referring to an anime where the main character is powerful from the beginning and never struggles once throughout the entirety of the series. Have you seen anything like that before?"

"Oh, I don't think so."

"Listen, I want you to return to your home and watch the masterpiece known as, 'Ascendance of the Legendary Hero'. It is a commandment given to you by Demon Babe!"

"YES MS. DEMON BABE!"

The boy excitedly ran away to his house, willing to do whatever she told him to do. She smugly smirked, watching him run off. While she still felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction knowing she had a disciple, her mind began to think about other things. Specifically the fact that she had not told the boy to give her a banana smoothie.

"Man, I should have got him to buy me a banana smoothie. Oh well, at least he will be watching the most superior form of entertainment. That's good enough."

The thought of a banana smoothie then reminded her of something she hadn't thought about for a while. She remembered back to when Chloe said that she would buy her a banana smoothie. This memory caused Saneko to laugh to herself quietly. The quiet laugh getting louder the more she thought about it. People around her were staring, both confused, and worried for her sanity.

"Oh Kana. You have no idea what problem you just caused for yourself."

Saneko had still not bothered to learn Chloe's name. She closed her eyes, using clairvoyance to find Chloe.

"There you are."

She then teleported to Chloe's bedroom, right in front of her. Chloe looked up at Saneko and they made eye contact. She was frozen for about five seconds before her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she passed out.

Saneko scoffed and turned her eyes green before touching Chloe's forehead, healing her and causing her to regain consciousness instantly. Chloe blinked and few times and began sitting up weakly.

"H...huh.."

"No passing out for you! You must give be a banana smoothie at once!"

Finally realizing who the person standing in front of her was again, she frantically started scrambling backwards as tears relentlessly streamed down her face.

"S...STOP! DON'T KILL ME!"

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

"HAHAHA! I won't under the condition that you give me a banana smoothie remember?"

Saneko loved to see someone scrambling in fear of her. She thought about how, to her, there was no difference between fear and respect. Or at least, the difference didn't matter.

"This has been the best weekend ever! I'm having so many main character moments!"

Chloe shook her head, not processing Saneko's words about the banana smoothie. She was too lost in fear for her brain to function correctly.

"You... you... you created a country. Why are you back?"

"Ah, my country functions perfectly without my presence. As long as they believe in Demon Babe, they are peaceful and prosperous, as they should be. Now listen to me. You had promised to buy me a banana smoothie did you not?"

"I... I don't... maybe."

"Then what's taking you so long?"

Seeing Chloe's tear-stained face almost made Saneko feel a bit guilty. She thought that maybe she should stop, but at the same time, she really wanted that smoothie, and plus, she loved having this sense of control.

"I should really stop, but this is so cool!"

Chloe was so afraid at this point, she was hiccupping and sniffling. Seeing her in this pathetic state would usually cause Saneko to feel proud of herself, but only if they didn't already believe in her.

"God, she looks so pathetic right now. I mean, doing this to the student council would be hilarious. I'd love to see their faces, but this girl already knows I'm powerful. Sure, she's the perfect girl trope which is the absolute worst, but she's not even begging for mercy anymore. She just accepted it. How boring. There's not really a point in scaring her anymore. Dammit, I really wanted that smoothie."

With a sigh, Saneko showed some form of compassion, which is extremely rare for her to do. She put her hands back in her pockets and turned away.

"You insolent mortal. I shall spare you this time, but remember that I am always watching!"

With that, Saneko disappeared and Chloe was still at a loss for words. She sat there, as if her mind broke, with both tears and snot streaming down her face. After a period of silence, she let out a scream. Saneko had absolutely no idea what effect she had on Chloe's mental state, and frankly, she didn't really care.

She reappeared in her kitchen. She was disappointed in her failure in getting a banana smoothie, but she decided to just forget about it for now. She looked down to see Dyinglight playing with a scratching post. Not knowing where it came from, she realized her parents must have got it for the cat. She started chuckling at the idea.

"Hehe. I got my parents to take care of this thing without me even doing anything. I'm truly the best, aren't I?"

She bent over to pet Dyinglight. It immediately hissed at her. Unfortunately for it, Saneko liked the feisty personality the cat had.

Saneko stood back up straight and walked to her room, ready to change out of her school uniform.

"And that's the girl we're after?"

"Indeed. She may not look like much, but she possesses power beyond mortal comprehension."

There were two beings sitting at a long table in a dimly lit room. One was a boy with blonde hair, yellow eyes, and black wings. His name was Kray. The other was a woman with long black hair, red eyes, and she also had black wings as well. Her name was Chrona. Both were wearing white dress shirts, black dress pants, and black ties. The woman pointed down at a glowing holographic circle in the center of the table.

"She is the strongest being the mortal realm has ever known."

"What is her cultivation level?"

"Zero."

This caught Kray off guard. He was not expecting that answer.

"Wait what? We've been watching the mortal realm for centuries. How can someone with no cultivation magic be so strong?"

"You have to realize, Earth had only discovered cultivation 18 years ago, and on top of that, it's the only planet in the mortal realm to have discovered it, so watching the mortal realm for centuries doesn't really mean much."

"Alright fine. But you said she's the strongest in all of the mortal realm. In 1864, a beast born in an exoplanet grew large enough to devour five star system in one bite. You're saying this girl is stronger than that beast?"

"The word "stronger" is grossly oversimplifying the sheer magnitude of the power gap between the two."

Hearing Chrona's words only caused Kray to grow more confused.

"Why are you telling me this? Why do you we have to go after her?"

"Because she just killed someone from the planet Krinkrin."

"WHAT? THE PLANET WITH THE DEVIL PEOPLE?"

"That's the one. You are aware of how powerful and important that planet is in the mortal realm correct? If this girl continues disrupting the natural order of that world, the mortal realm could be in jeopardy.

"So what are we going to do about it? And more importantly, why does it matter?"

"This girl has only seemed to be able to attack beings from the mortal realm, and she seems to be able to control a bit of the world above. Fortunately for us, we are from the third world in the hierarchy, so she shouldn't be able to harm us or our troops in any way. And as for why it matters. It's because the mortal realm, specifically Earth, has a very special item, one that is mass produced, yet extremely precious."

Kray thought about her words for a while. He was well aware of Earth gaining notoriety throughout the mortal realm due to cultivation being discovered, so he automatically assumed that she was referring to that.

"This item has something to do with cultivation right?"

"Surprisingly not. It's something most humans, or even aliens and beasts for that matter, don't realize. This girl though, she knows the true power of this item."

Kray was wondering why she was being so cryptic about this item. It had to be something extremely important if Chrona wouldn't say anything about what it was.

Opening the front door, Mr. and Mrs. Sarakana walked in.

"WE'RE BACK!"

Saneko was lazily laying on the couch, watching videos on her phone.

"Where were you?"

"We went to the store because we were out of almost everything."

"Oh okay."

It was evident by her voice that she didn't really care. She only asked because it was a reflex. Mrs. Sarakana then held up a familiar glass in her hand.

"And look what we got you."

Saneko immediately sat up and started drooling. The yellow substance within that glass was unmistakably one of her beloved banana smoothies. She ran up to her mom and grabbed it.

"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!"

She sipped on it happily, all of her worries faded away. She didn't really have any worries to begin with, but that's neither here nor there.

Laughing slightly, Mr. Sarakana poked Saneko's horns in a teasing manner.

"Why do you like those things so much anyway?"

"Mmmm. You wouldn't get it. Only those with transcendent minds can understand why banana smoothies are God's gift to humanity."

He laughed, knowing that he shouldn't have expected an actual answer from her.

"Alright. Enjoy."

Her parents walked into the kitchen, putting the groceries away. Saneko sat back down on the couch and kicked her legs happily as she sipped on her smoothie. Turns out she didn't need to traumatize Chloe after all.
