Students stared at Saneko as she walked through the hallways of Anetop Academy. Students began snickering to each other, whispering into each other's ears. At first, Saneko didn't even notice, but after a while, she started to see that basically everyone in the hallway was looking directly at her. She glanced around with red eyes to see that she was the center of attention. This was what she had always wanted, but it was still surprising to her as she did not expect it.
"Wait, Why are they staring? Have they finally realized how my mere presence exudes so much power?"
Saneko did a dramatically heroic pose, putting her hand to her forehead and flicking her bangs upwards. She began to proudly speak loud enough for everyone to hear.
"You have finally realized haven't you? That I am simply a superior lifeform. It's about time."
Ever since the event in Brazil, a lot of the students at Anetop Academy did believe Saneko had some sort of power, although, their belief in her powers wavered every time she did something utterly ridiculous, and this was definitely one of those times.
Saneko scoffed and haughtily walked over to her class. Her appearance started turning the heads of everyone in the school, no matter where she went. This only boosted Saneko's confidence tenfold. When she had arrived at the HRS class, she opened the door, and even the students there almost instantly turned their heads and stared at her. She closed her eyes and was ecstatic by her own class finally recognizing her. Her mind, like always, ran wild.
"YES! FINALLY!"
She walked over to her seat, and as she walked, the class' heads all followed Saneko as they watched her. She bounced with each step, feeling happier than she had ever felt at that moment. She got to her desk and pulled her chair back, but Mrs. Gaud spoke up and stopped her before she could sit.
"No no Saneko. Don't sit yet. We need to talk."
Saneko looked up to see the teacher looking at her. Saneko shrugged and let go of her seat. She walked up to her and stood in front of her desk.
"Yes? If you wanted to praise me for my excellence, there is no need, I already know."
"No Saneko. I had a talk with Chloe two days ago. We will keep it just between us three, but she said that I should take you more seriously. I really want to trust Chloe, and I don't exactly know why, but she seems very scared of you."
"Indeed. It's simply because I could rip her head off her body at a moment's notice and no one could stop me."
"How very reassuring to hear. Anyway, I wanted to simply keep an eye on you without actually discussing this with you, but I don't exactly know how I can even begin to take you seriously when you act the way you do."
With a condescending shake of her head, Saneko looked away with a curt scoff.
"And how is that the case?"
"I don't even know where to start with that. I guess we can start by addressing the obvious. You are wearing cat ears and whiskers."
This caught Saneko off guard. She reached up to her head and felt that she still had the cat ears from yesterday. Her heart skipped a beat and with her other hand she felt her face to feel the whiskers. Mrs. Gaud stared at her with an unamused expression and Saneko went beet red. She immediately thought back to everyone staring at her earlier and she now realized why that was. It was just like her to be embarrassed by this, but not notice how embarrassing all of her Demon Babe actions were.
Of course, Chloe seeing the cat ears did not make her feel confused, nor did she find it funny. Instead, her mind instantly jumped to the absolute worst possibility.
"That demon ate a cat and gained its properties! I KNEW SHE WAS EVIL!"
Saneko slammed her hands on the teacher's desk, causing Mrs. Gaud to flinch a bit. Saneko's eyes turned blue and her cat ears returned to being her normal horns and her whiskers disappeared. She knew she shouldn't do this, but she was desperate. The clock started ticking backwards to the beginning of the day and all of the events of the day reversed.
Saneko woke up in her bed as if she had awoken from a nightmare and immediately turned off Color Spectrum. Her body returned to normal and her eyes were purple again. She let out a sigh of relief, and she sat up in her bed. Saneko's eidetic and perfect memory was limited by the fact that she just didn't bother to pay attention to things. She looked to the clock and realized that she had dialed time back to the previous day, late at night.
"Oh, I went too far back. Oh well, at least I still have my perfect reputation as Demon Babe."

Since it was the day before, the NASA scientists were still researching what had just happened with the sun and the sky a few hours ago. A large group of scientists were all studying charts with the chief observing them, but could find nothing, as the world had returned to its normal state. The specific scientist who always discovers these strange occurrences yet again discovered another one.
"Wait. Why does it say that the timeline shifted?"
The chief was bewildered and walked up to him.
"What technology is this?"
"We're NASA, we have everything."
"Whatever, just tell me what you mean."
The scientist pointed at a computer with a tesseract on it and a graph underneath it. He pointed at a very specific spike in the graph.
"As you know, when the world discovered cultivation, we soon came up with this technology that can let us see the worlds above. In this case, it's the timeline. The graph shows the natural flow of time. It's very steady, but right here there is an unnatural spike."
"Oh, so what you're saying is that this is another anomaly."
"I.. I guess. I'm still trying to process all of this."
The chief rubbed his temples from how overwhelming all of this was. Why was all of this happening, and why so suddenly?
"I think this is a little out of our level of expertise. We're NASA. We should be studying space, not dealing with time altering super villains."
"Yeah but, whatever this is, let's just call it The Anomaly, is something the world has literally never seen before."
"I know that, but you are the one that told me we don't know how to defeat it."
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean we should just give up."
"Listen. The Hero Foundation couldn't deal with a giant green deer in Brazil. Some mystery hero we don't even know had to take that down. And who knows who that person is or how to contact them. All we know is that we don't have anyone on this planet who can deal with someone who is casually rewriting reality as we know it."
"I... I know... I just..."
The scientist looked down. He didn't know what was going to happen now. All of the other scientists were still studying the event that happened with the sun and the sky, but it was obvious that was the least of their problems. The chief scientist turned around and started walking about to his office.
"Whatever this anomaly is, its something we can't comprehend. It's probably an eldritch horror, waiting to feast on all of our souls or something. I know we shouldn't give up, but like you yourself said a while back, we can't beat this monstrosity. I would reckon that right now, it's probably planning another attack on us and we don't even know it."
Saneko was sitting on her bed, tickling Dyinglight's stomach playfully. The cat was squirming and clearly not enjoying it.
"Hehehe. The kitty is ticklish isn't it."
Saneko was trying to get her mind off of what she did earlier... or later. Even though the event had been reset, her embarrassment still lingered and she couldn't sleep due to it.
"Ah Dyinglight. You weren't there to witness it, but your powerful and beautiful owner made a massive blunder. But fear not, for my greatness overpowered it. I have no weaknesses after all."
Dyinlight couldn't care less. It was thinking about swiping at Saneko, but remembered that its nails got completely filed last time it did that, so instead, it decided to endure Saneko's delusions. She'd get tired soon enough.
Nakialia manifested her body next to Saneko on the bed. Saneko stopped petting the cat as she turned to her, and using the opportunity, the cat jumped off of Saneko's lap and ran out of the door.
"N, you've been making quite a lot of appearances lately."
"Yeah well you are my friend."
"Okay, then where do you go off to the rest of the time?"
"I leave the astral plain sometimes to go to heaven for awhile, you know, see how my ghost buddies are doing. But guess what. I'm chilling in heaven, and then suddenly, I look down and see that you altered the timeline."
"Look down?"
"Well, heaven kind of has like this, like, looking glass that lets you see the universe and... uh, I'm getting sidetracked. Why are you screwing around with time?"
Saneko looked down and pouted her lip.
"I went to school with the properties of a cat."
Nakialia sat next to Saneko in confusion for a few seconds. The thought of Saneko looking like a cat while confidently walking around the school was a hilarious thought. She suddenly burst into laughter.
"No way! Seriously? Imagine, the 'almighty' Demon Babe doing something so ridiculous. No I mean really, how can you overlook something so obvious? It's entirely your fault. I thought you were smart."
As Nakialia continued to laugh, holding her transparent stomach, Saneko was now standing up with a completely emotionless look on her face. Nakialia started to calm down from her laughter, and when she looked up to see Saneko staring at her so seriously, she began to get nervous.
"Hehe... I was just teasing you know."
Saneko reached out her right hand which started glowing with the purplish black aura.
"I will erase your spirit from every plain so that you will never return."
"NO! I'M SORRY!"
Nakialia attempted to run away, but Saneko grabbed her arm with her left arm.
"LET ME GO! HOW CAN YOU EVEN TOUCH ME!"
Ignoring the question, Saneko was about to place her glowing right hand on Nakialia's head. She began to cry and shake her head vehemently.
"PLEASE FORGIVE ME SANEKO! I MEAN, DEMON BABE!"
The pleading and horrified voice was all Saneko needed to hear. Her hand ceased to glow and she sat back down on her bed. Thanks to scaring the living daylights out of Nakialia, she had essentially forgotten about the whole cat situation.
"Why is it so hard for others to acknowledge my power? You scream in fear when I threaten you, but others simply ignore me."
"YOU WERE LITERALLY ABOUT TO KILL ME!"
Saneko took Nakialia's words as advice. Her eyes lit up and she clenched her fist in determination.
"So you're saying I have to threaten to kill more people?"
"NO!"
"Well I mean it clearly worked."
"Yeah but not for the right reason. Wait hold on, THERE IS NO RIGHT REASON!"
Saneko kicked her feet happily, imagining threatening people in her school and seeing them scream in fear. She looked so childish while imagining such brutal actions. Nakialia was this close to snapping at Saneko, but it would probably result in her death. Saneko was teetering between being an obsessed narcissist and a psychopathic maniac.
"You know Saneko, you are insane sometimes."
"I call it, in control. Like the main character from 'Revenge of The Reborn Swordsman'."
