During the lunch period, Ms. Kay and Mrs. Gaud were sitting across from each other at the table in teacher's lounge of Anetop Academy. There was no one else in the room at that time, so Ms. Kay decided to tell her something that she had been thinking about for a while.
"There's a student in your class. I don't recall her name, but she is the one with the silver hair, the cowlick, and of course the elephant in the room, the demon horns."
"Ah yes, Saneko. Another student in my class just recently talked to me about her as well. I don't what's going on with her."
"Well, I think you should keep a close eye on her."
"That's practically what the student in my class said as well. From what I've seen, she's an extremely delusional girl, nothing more, nothing less."
"Well you'd be wrong about that."
Leaning back in her chair, Mrs. Gaud became skeptical. She couldn't help but think that there was some inside joke she wasn't be let in on. Or perhaps she was being pranked.
"Are you serious right now? What's so important about her?"
"Well, first of all, she broke Reader, and second, she beat a student council member in a fight."
"Yeah, but I thought we all agreed that Reader simply made a mistake. And as for beating Kal, she just caught him off guard."
Ms. Kay didn't know too much about Saneko's outbursts. She remembered when she confidently spoke up on the first day of school, but other than that, she didn't know why people refused to take her seriously. Especially after what she had recently witnessed.
"Haven't you seen the disturbances in our world recently? Like the sky and the sun changing colors? I have reason to believe this is that girl's doing."
Ms. Kay's words caused Mrs. Gaud to involuntarily let out a loud laugh. She didn't want to sound disrespectful, but the idea that all of these things were Saneko's doing was just too farfetched for her to believe.
"You've got to be kidding me. Sure, we've had some weird disturbances, but we live in a world where cultivation is a thing. We literally teach it. I'm sure high ranking cultivators can do stuff like this."
"I will admit, it's not out of the realm of possibilities, but there was no monster attacking during the time of those disturbances, and we have very detailed descriptions of the heroes at the Hero Foundation. If this was a cultivator, it would be one we have no record on."
"Okay, but so what? Saneko has such weak cultivation magic that she doesn't even appear on the magic scale when she touches it. Who's to say this mystery cultivator is her?"
"Yeah well... I have reason to believe that Saneko isn't actually a cultivator. She is an otherworldly source, or something like that at the very least."
"What? How could you even come to that conclusion."
Ms. Kay sighed deeply. She didn't want to explain this because if it got out, there could possibly be a very large commotion, but just like Chloe, keeping a secret this big was almost impossible.
"She moved an imbued item."
"WHAT!"
Mrs. Gaud immediately stood up as if she had just seen a ghost. As Ms. Kay explained before, Imbuement can only be practical under one circumstance. That is of course if a cultivator achieved Nirvana, and this circumstance was entirely theoretical.
"YOU ARE LYING TO ME!"
"I am not. Remember the news from Brazil. Even you must admit that the person who killed the beast looked remarkably like Saneko."
Grabbing her forehead in frustration, she started laughing to herself. Her laugh sounded a bit unhinged as she was growing more and more tired. She no longer believed Ms. Kay and even started to doubt anything Chloe had said about Saneko as well.
"So you're saying she achieved Nirvana? Get real!"
"No. I have come to a worse conclusion actually. As I said, I don't think she is a cultivator at all."
With a shake of her head, Mrs. Gaud left the table and walked past her, leaving the teacher's lounge. Ms. Kay turned to see her leave, and once she had exited the room, Ms. Kay turned back around and placed her arms on the table. She understood why Mrs. Gaud didn't believe her, but still, it was something she needed to get off of her chest.
Meanwhile, Saneko was looking around at the students in the hallway, quietly talking to herself.
"Hmm. N told me I should threaten students to get more notoriety. Who should I threaten first?"
"I NEVER SAID SUCH A THING!"
Saneko saw Nakialia standing beside her, so she began to speak to her telepathically.
"Oh hey N. What brings you here?"
"Well I knew you'd cause trouble because you misinterpret everything, so I came to check on you."
"How did I misinterpret anything?"
"I never said you should threaten people. In fact, I said the complete opposite!"
"That's not how I remember it. Look at the flashback."

"Huh?"
Saneko pointed behind Nakialia. She turned around to see a depiction of what happened the day before. In the depiction, Nakialia was speaking to Saneko in an enthusiastic tone.
"Oh almighty Demon Babe. Perhaps if you threaten people, they will respect you more!"
Nakialia angrily swatted at the depiction, causing the flashback to fade away.
"I NEVER SAID THAT! YOU ONLY HEAR WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR!"
"So you're saying I should assert dominance at once?"
With a determined grin, Saneko walked up to an unsuspecting student who was at her locker, taking some books out of it. In a state of panic, Nakialia ran after Saneko, but it was too late, as Saneko had already reached the girl.
"Greetings mortal. You are in the presence of superiority. I suggest you do an act of obeisance to me or you shall face eternal death."
Nakialia facepalmed. She couldn't believe Saneko truly believed that the tropes she watched from power fantasies would get her anywhere in the real world. The girl holding the books tilted her head, trying to comprehend what Saneko was trying to say.
"You want me to worship you? Why?"
"Why? Ha! Do you not see that if I were to un-restrict myself, I could destroy this world with a mere snap of my fingers?"
"Umm... no. I don't see that actually."
Saneko was growing impatient. She realized that simply talking didn't get her anywhere with these students, so instead, she put her finger to the girls head. The girl's pupils faded away and her eyes became blank. She collapsed to the floor, dropping the books everywhere. Students who were either at their lockers or walking down the hallway stopped what they were doing once they heard the girl fall down. It was like time stopped as all of the students froze in place.
"What in the world?"
"Is she okay?"
"I don't know."
Nakialia began trembling in a mix of shock and fear. Did Saneko really do what she thought she did.
"SANEKO!"
"Hm?"
"YOU ACTUALLY KILLED SOMEONE?"
"Oh don't be ridiculous. I simply erased her brain."
"THAT'S KILLING SOMEONE!"
"No. Magic is still coursing through her veins allowing her heart to beat. She is simply in a catatonic state."
"THAT'S NOT ANY BETTER!"
"She was being disrespectful."
"HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE THIS PETTY? EVERYONE SAW YOU DO THIS TOO!"
"Oh I see."
Saneko turned to the other students who were staring at her with fearful expressions. She stood tall and reached her hand towards the body of the girl, showing everyone what she had done.
"Behold! This was only a fraction of my power so it would be in your best interest to put all of your faith into Demon Babe!"
No one seemed to move an inch. They were still processing what was happening. They couldn't tell if this was fake or not. Nakialia was furious with Saneko. She let a lot of things slide, but causing a student to literally lose their brain was definitely crossing the line.
"FIX THIS RIGHT NOW!"
Saneko turned her gaze towards Nakialia and continued to reply to her telepathically.
"But everyone is finally taking me seriously now. They realized how cool I am."
"No, they are realizing you are a psycho!"
"Psychotic traits only fuel cool personalities."
"In fiction maybe, but you're a borderline murderer. This majorly illegal in, like, every country!"
Saneko leaned her head back in frustration. Why must everyone ruin her plans. She turned around and bent down to touch the girl's head. Her eyes turned green and within seconds, the girl's eyes began to open. If it wasn't obvious, Color Spectrum green allows Saneko to heal injuries, no matter how fatal, as long as a sense of life is still present within the body she is attempting to heal.
"H..huh... w...what happened?"
Saneko's eyes returned to purple and she stood back up, straightening her suit before walking away.
"Damn you N!"
The girl weakly reached for her books and began standing up. All of the other students looked around at each other before shrugging and carrying on with their day.
"I guess it was like a play or something."
"Maybe improv?"
Nakialia stared at the girl who looked dazed for a few seconds before walking back up to Saneko.
"I didn't know you could heal people like that."
Saneko didn't respond. She was very upset at Nakialia right now, even though it was entirely her fault.
"Really? You're going to give me the silent treatment because I wouldn't let you kill a random girl?"
"I had already told you that she wasn't dead."
"Don't play the victim now!"
Saneko faced her, her eyes were filled with disappointment, sadness, and rage all at once.
"They were finally about to see!"
Closing her eyes, Nakialia pinched the bridge of her nose.
"This is only your second week of school. Maybe if you just let things play out naturally, people would believe you."
"The characters never do that and they know best!"
"Those characters are written to appeal to people with personalities like yours. The only difference is, they are banking off of the assumption that the fans of the series are weak and powerless. They by no means 'know best'."
"You just don't understand how creative the writing is."
"I've asked you this before, but how are they creative? You describe many shows, but they all have the exact same cookie-cutter plot. If it were truly creative, you'd think there would be diversity."
Saneko snorted and looked forward. She continued walking and left Nakialia behind. As she walked, her telepathic voice spoke once more.
"You see N, the characters written within these stories have abilities that are far weaker than mine, yet they still come out on top no matter what. That is because the only thing that matters in this world is being the best and the coolest."
"So you make all of these weird slogans, draw meaningless logos on your tie, and speak in an overly dramatic tone just to be cool?"
"Didn't you already know?"
"I mean... kinda. But still, it's weird."
"It couldn't be further from weird actually. It is what I like to call, a main character moment."
"More like main character syndrome."
Saneko waved her off, and continued walking down to her class. Nakialia was extremely frustrated with Saneko, but she also did see her point in some weird way. A lot of the students here simply ignored or forgot a lot of the things Saneko did. Just a few days ago, the weaker students were in awe of her. Now it seems like that has completely passed. Of course, not all of the students had forgotten.
Chloe stayed at home today. She was sitting on a chair, looking at her trembling hands. The more she saw Saneko, the more scared she got, and she decided that she couldn't take it today, so she took the day off. She was trying to regain her composure to return to school after the weekend, but she couldn't get something odd off of her mind.
"Why do I have this... strange memory? Something about Saneko and a cat."
Chloe lifted her sleeve up so she could see a silver bracelet she wore that had a green gem on it. There was a crack in the gem.
When cultivation was first discovered in 4063, a lot of people feared it. Scientists quickly invented a fake gem that could seal cultivation magic. Many people originally used it to protect themselves from cultivation, but once it got more accepted in society in a very short amount of time, many people discarded these gems. Chloe however, was an anomaly herself. When she was born, it felt like an invisible shadow followed her wherever she went. When she felt any emotion that wasn't happiness, glass would start to crack, and people around her would grow lightheaded.
By the time she was 15 years old, earthquakes became extremely common. Her emotions radiated so deep within the Earth, that the tectonic plates shifted whenever she felt intense emotions. She decided that she would distract herself with anything and everything possible so she wouldn't feel any other emotion but happiness, and just to be extra prudent, she bought one the power sealing gems and attached it to a bracelet, just in case she began to feel sadness, anger, or any other emotion.
Saneko's presence had been giving Chloe a very powerful emotion as of recently though, which of course was fear. Thankfully, the bracelet had been doing a good job restricting her powers, but it didn't seem like it would last for much longer.
