No more pranks as promised. The Misha went from trying to chase me out to making me stay. Didn't they get my message? I can't stay here. This place will drive me insane in the long term. Since they were insistent on annoying me, I started to annoy them back. I snuck into the forbidden parts of the library and started learning some Misha-specific magic and taboo magic. They had a lot of nasty spells here.
Most spells that turn someone into a frog are temporarily. This one here is permanent. And that's one of the mild spells. Some come very close to black magic. One makes you relive all the nightmares you ever had. I decided to learn this one. Greg should be able to cause people to fall asleep and get nightmares, I can pile on to that by making them relive those. I archived almost all forbidden and taboo magic they had stored here.
It took them until mid-January to find out that I had sneaked into the forbidden section. But it was too late by then I had already learned more of their dirty secrets. This changed the opinion of some Misha and now half of them wanted me to stay and the other half for me to leave. Another idea for a katana popped into my head at the beginning of the calendar year when the Misha shot off fireworks. And I was busy getting everything ready for that. What would be cooler than 1 katana? 2 katanas!
Jokes aside this one would have a completely different function. It will be a slower version for when I can't swing my sword around all the time. This will be fire-based because I don't need any more complicated materials and jumping through hoops to get stuff done. I also started practicing Dragonvein in the mornings. I had been slacking on that so I had to pick that back up.
I cleaned up Azu’s lab and left some copies of the papers I’d written behind. She might be able to improve on these or use them as a reference. I hope the Misha will accept her back… I spent several weeks making sure I had everything information and material-wise. The Misha became quieter and quieter. Are they planning something? Maybe they’re going to mount a large attack to finally kick me out. Well, if they're patient I will leave by myself.
Day 62 was when I would leave. It was day 61 and the Misha were acting very strange. Nilah was quite large by now. I was wondering if she needs a 3rd form because she was almost half as big as me now. I don't even know how much mana she has stored and I’m not sure I want to know.
The Misha in the academy were also acting weird. I came here to tell Shelly that I would be leaving. I hadn't made many friends here but Shelly was consistent in showing off her [Fireball] and other fire skills. Hey, Shelly, I will be leaving tomorrow, I came to say bye.
Shelly seemed a if she just had a fight with a close friend of hers. She was a mess. “Did they finally chase you away?” Nah, I can’t stay here, you guys need a place just for yourself I was just a temporary visitor.
“How about a research partnership? I’m sure many Misha would want one with you! I would love to become your research partner if you wouldn't mind.” I’m sorry I have things to do, and so do you. You’re practically the queen of the academy now it shouldn't be hard to surpass your mother.
“I guess… everyone has their own goals. Is there nothing that would make you stay here?” Nope sorry, maybe if I was a Misha myself, I would've stayed longer but I have to go.
“Hey, Agnis she asked nicely just listen and stay!” The 'Ice cube Ten' appeared. So, you went from attempting to evict me to attempting to imprison me? You guys surely are a bunch of criminals.
“We don't care, we have read your papers and also found some literature about your race. You are a boon to us and moreover, we can't let you run off and get yourself killed you will be safe here.” There is literature about us?
Shrimpy showed a strange looking book. “It is encrypted with some magic that makes it impossible for humans to read but it's this one, fairly recent from a newbie author Vinyr.” Ugh, that idiot, he shouldn't have done that. He would make a great writer though. Anyway, I’m not staying! You guys wanted me gone and now I'm going and that's also a problem!
One of the 'Ice cube Ten' Misha spoke up. “You can’t win this; we have prepared countermeasures against your frost magic. Also, the whole city is in on this, you can't possibly beat a whole city.” Oh, you want to bet? Didn't you turn into an ice cube the last time you said something similar?

“This is different!” Under normal circumstances, I would agree this would be impossible but it so happens that this ultimate skill that I had completed a long time ago doesn't care about how many opponents I fight, the more the better actually. I was slowly getting surrounded by Misha.
Just a question, do you guys truly believe you have seen everything I can do? Some started to think and seemed to realize that I haven't actually tried most of the time.
There is one thing I want you guys to remember from this. I calibrated the Dragonvein. 8.4% affinity and 5.4% authority. And connected to the air leyline currents.
You guys rely too much on magic. It had been 2 years in the making but I could finally use my other ultimate skill.
Nilah keep them busy until I finish the prerequisites, I'm going to use [Hsien]. Nilah grew to her enormous form and spun her tails and created a mana-free zone. I started to use something that resembled [Drowning Pulse] but it was turning the air in the city into something closer to water. It made it act like it was all water. The outside of this enormous dome of water began to slowly freeze and create an ice barrier.
I spent 2 minutes evenly spreading the water and the whole area inside the barrier started to act like it was water but it wasn't. I popped out all my other tails and created 4 frost dragons around me and multiple water dragons. The whole city turned into something that looked like an underwater coral reef and it had fish swimming around. Everyone trapped within this had a permanent slow status so my passive that deals damage to cc’ed targets would always be active. Nilah dropped the mana free zone and swam toward me. The Misha couldn't move freely, they would have to swim but they could still breathe.
The whole city was trapped and it was difficult for all of them to attack me at this point. Nothing in here was what it seemed. There were fish in various sizes but they were part of the technique, all made out of leyline energy. They would eat any mana that got used and use it to grow. They would become bigger and bigger fish, then killer whales, I love killer whales and the final stage was a dragon. And these fish dealt damage when you got close to them and the bigger the fish the more damage. The dragons would absolutely destroy anyone. I had 4 frost dragons around me not for protection but to cool myself off. This technique was intensive on my eyes, brain, and tails because there was so much happening. Nilah was assisting me in cooling down. This was preventing my own body from overheating. There is an extremely low chance someone would be able to make it to me. I was currently at the centre of this skill and I could move freely.
Escape was improbable but not impossible so I formed [Dragons] at the edge of the dome and they slowly weaved a net with their bodies and made escape impossible. It looked like the dragons were dancing though. The beauty is I don't need to actively attack because the fish and dragons do these on their own. The movements were complicated and I had to focus a lot. I closed the dome off so there was no chance of escape and thus the whole city was trapped. I started churning out [Dragons]. I paused because I was attempting to form 2 very strong ones.
The air acting as water around me started to boil, Nilah responded and cooled me down even more. I was doing this all with leyline energy so it was also body intensive. I made two enormous light blue wingless dragons made out of frost and they terrorized the stronger Misha. There was nothing they could do. Their magic would get eaten by the fish and just make this technique stronger. They couldn't move very fast and anything that would hit them would deal a lot of damage.
I completely shut down anything anyone could do to me while inside [Hsien]. The 2 frost [Dragons] were giving the stronger Misha hell. They couldn't even defend themselves. Some fish notified me that I had to tune the damage a bit lower because even the smallest fish did too much damage to the weaker Misha. The orcas were going to town and toying with 3 of the ice cube Misha. Someone thought it was smart to use [Discharge] and this just fed a lot of fish and they also zapped their allies. The 2 large frost [Dragons] disappeared after 2 minutes because they were doing too much damage. Most of the Misha gave up and were unconscious.
“Can we really not persuade you to stay here?” No. sorry…
“I can’t use any of my strong skills in here… We surrender, you may leave...” Shrimpy said. I had expected her to be prideful but it didn't look as she had swallowed her pride what was the look on her face? Sadness? Disappointment? I couldn't tell, either way I can't stay here.
Thank you. I sent most of the energy [Hsien] collected into Nilah and formed a [Dragon] with the rest of it. I can use the energy of this freely, normally I would bundle into a large nuke and drop anyone who is still alive after this but I can’t do that now. Nilah started to glow and some markings appeared on her body. I think this is a good thing? Nilah and I rode the dragon to the sky. I was planning to leave tomorrow but I can't return after such an epic exit.
So, Nilah, what does this mean? Are you going to evolve? What would you even evolve into? Nilah requested cuddles. What a mysterious fox.
