I stepped inside his small cozy house which smelled a bit like moss. There was greenery everywhere. It looked more like a mossy cave than a house but Vinny is a dragon, this is where he feels at home.

“The areas that need their nature energy eaten up have increased since the recent calamity. I will leave tomorrow to devour some more nature energy, so it’s good that you came today. I also just wanted to see how you’re doing. I can’t even imagine what you must be going through. I’m correct in assuming that this is something your race has to fix right?”

Yup, these fairies are also a huge pain in the ass.

“Fairies?”

Those things swarming around are fairies, sorry to burst your bubble.

Vinny took a moment to process this information. He went through a lot, but the most dominant expression seemed similar to disappointment.

“Hmm I did not expect that. We had fairies living in our jungle, and we were fine with it, I never knew…”

“It was sooner than expected, your friend Sylvana came by, and we managed to figure something out, look!” Vinny presented 5 blue ghost truffles to me. They were a bit small, but they seemed ready for consumption. “So, the usual question, how many lives have you left?”

“Hmm, I’m actually surprised, I was expecting single digits or something like 15. That’s good. Hold on to when you need them.” I accepted the ghost truffles. I felt bad for lying to Vinny, but I didn’t feel like explaining how I lost them.

“The sky mangoes need more years sorry. I have some more dynamo beans.”

“Ah no need to thank me, with all these strange things happening I’m sure you have your hands full; I’ve also been following some of your achievements. You’re quite the celebrity now. You might want to stay clear of Igrini Kingdom though.”

Vinny took out his tablet. “Information had leaked that you had an important role into delivering the Aquini Kingdom to its victory. The only ones that don’t like this are some of the Igrini Kingdom citizens and Bizax, its closest ally”.

I’m used to getting hated and hunted down by now. Let them come, they can stand at the end of the queue, behind all the fairies on this continent and even some deities. Humans are the least of my problems now.

“Hmm, I assume they are interfering with your duty.”

Yup, it's like trying to go somewhere but the area is full of flies, except these flies are big, annoying, and strong and their numbers are on par of a fly swarm.

“Annoying indeed. I will make sure to kill as many as I can on my way to the eastern elven forest.”

It seems that I might have overtuned Bywen’s spirit vessel.

The spirit guardian of the elven forest has a physical vessel that I made. It might be a bit overtuned.

Vinny sighed. “You can’t destroy the world if you let others do it for you eh?”

“Yet! Anyway, if you’re involved then this needs more haste, who knows what other overpowered capabilities that vessel has.”

So, I might have sneaked in the capability to use lasers…

“I think I have to move this up in my schedule… is there anything else you want or need? I might still be able to eat it all if I go now.”

I gave Vinny a thumbs up and we walked to the garden.

Oh, I’m low on food, do you have some tasty fruit for me?

“Oh of course!” He walked over to a hut behind his house. It was a short walk but yet again, these fairies were being pests so we spent an hour wiping them out.

“They are annoying indeed… lets get to the hut before more return.”

The hut was almost as big as his house. He opened it and it was quite chilly inside. “You can take all of it, I need to go now.”

Are you sure?

“It was getting full and I was wondering what to do with them, take it.” Vinny ran out of his garden, turned into his dragon form, and took off. His dragon form looked strange though. It was small and weird looking and he turned into his more familiar and bigger dragon form when he was high up in the air. Was he hoping that anyone who might have seen him mistake him for a fairy? That’s smart.

Everyone was inside, so nobody would have seen him. I used my dimensional filter. The Great Tear had disappeared. There were some smaller dimensional tears and holes left. I decided to get to work and fix these.

It had almost been 2 months since the Great Tear had appeared and the dimensions had fused. Most of the fighting had settled down either because one party of the disputes had been wiped out or because compromises had been made.

Most had to be non-verbal because none of the new species could understand Kaledonian. There was the issue of a new continent appearing nearby, but that is not my problem. I’m sure it will be soon.

I had to relocate because I had noticed that Hisui was hot on my tails. Another problem. I had been sloppy in covering my tracks lately, so this was a wake-up call. Why can’t she repair dimensional holes and tears like I do?

Jarn Kingdom was currently where I was located. It was still benefitting from its previous wealth, so it wasn’t as affected by the latest clownfiesta as the other countries. I used this chance to restock on food.

Everything seemed to be heading toward a more stable state, besides the swarms of fairies plaguing the continent. The fairies were still numerous but had drastically decreased in population. They either went into their disguises, looking like ‘real fairies’ or something was killing them off.

It didn’t look like their numbers have dropped enough, though. I hope the spirits are safe. I’d like to help, but I’m having difficulties keeping myself safe. I walked into the AA and 2 tall men in intricate light blue suits greeted me.

“Excuse us for this possibly uncomfortable invitation but our empress dearly wishes to speak to you.”

Your empress? Did you come here all the way from the Aquini Kingdom? Wow! She must be serious, fine I will come with you. And shouldn’t she be a queen if it’s a kingdom?

“Oh, wonderful! We had expected to be met with rejection, this way, please. And she likes the word ‘Empress’ more” They led me to the teleport gate terminal.
